Mercure Warszawa Centrum in Warsaw

I booked the hotel stay for one night in the city of Warsaw. I had already been to the city before and wanted to sleep in a central location and in a good hotel, so I chose this hotel, which is rated as a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, beyond its location, the hotel is of a very poor standard. Definitely not a four star hotel and not even close to it.
The hotel is undergoing renovations, which is not indicated anywhere when booking. The hotel is full of dust and even in the rooms that have already been renovated the level of cleanliness is very poor and it is difficult to breathe in the closed spaces due to a lot of dust. The room I was promised was not the room I got and I was really shocked to find that the rooms were all old, not equipped, doors with loose handles, broken showers. In addition, the air conditioner barely works and we were even told at the reception that they turn off the air conditioner in the hotel because "it's already cold outside." No such thing was mentioned anywhere when ordering. We had to change three rooms. (To the credit of the charming receptionist who really wanted to help us but was unable to do anything except move us rooms) In the end we slept in an old and dilapidated room, ate a very mediocre breakfast and really did not stay in a four star hotel as it was written on the website. This is a serious deception of customers and I really hope that the hotel will check with itself whether it really deserves to be a four star hotel.
