Reviews
I booked my stay at Arche Hotel Krakowska in advance directly through their website and paid in full. When I arrived late in the evening after a long journey, I was shocked to be told at check-in that it is MANDATORY to purchase breakfast in order to check in.
I clearly explained that I did not want breakfast – I had to leave before 6:00 AM for an early flight and wouldn't be able to eat it anyway. They offered a takeaway breakfast box instead, but I told them that i can’t have it, since it has to be DIABETIC. They admitted they could not prepare a diabetic-friendly option – yet still insisted I had to pay for breakfast no matter what.
So I ended up paying for something I didn’t want, didn’t need, and didn’t ask for. To make matters worse, I had to give the food box away to my taxi driver the next morning. Complete waste.
The hotel even texted me twice before my arrival, and nowhere did they mention this “mandatory” breakfast policy. It felt dishonest and manipulative.
This experience left a very bad impression. I will not be returning to this hotel and I urge others to be cautious, especially if you are booking through their website. Such information regarding mandatory charges for a service that feels very much optional is just bad business. If you the breakfast is a part of the package advertise it so don’t surprise your guests!!! The way the breakfast charge was forced on me at check-in, without any prior warning, felt like manipulation — not hospitality.
I have to add that I do not have any complaint about the young lady at the reception. She tried to help and even offered a full refund if I did not agree to this policy but I was checking in at 9pm and had to catch an early morning flight so I was cornered kind of to “accept” that policy!!
Single room’s bed and headboard position is extremely strange. I am not complaining about size since it has to be single but you cannot out your head on headboard and lie down. You feel like you are on a couch rather then a bed.
Staff is not friendly. No good welcome at check-in or breakfast. They even don’t smile or say good morning. Guest are more kind to them to say good morning, hi, good evening etc…
Hotel is very clean overall. New hotel with nice architecture. Proximity to airport is also good with easy access to city,
The restaurant was a disaster, close at 9, breakfast only from6.30 am. Not ok for an airport hotel and for guests who are tired and got flight delayed until late night and have to catch early flight the next morning.
The voucher from LOT only allows us to chose 2 dishes out of the menu. 1 waitress doesn’t understand English. The waitress who understands English took the order to my room. I highlighted to only bring food in 40-50‘ because my kids need to sleep. She brought food in 20‘ and said she was very busy.
No apology , service like they gave it for free. 0 star and will never stay here or recommend anyone to stay here if you want to use the restaurant.
