Starting on a high note, the coffee was impressive, surprisingly so for an automatic machine. The service at the breakfast area was commendable, and the cleanliness of the tables stood out. I was pleasantly surprised to find breakfast served until 3PM and complimentary cocktail hours, reflecting innovative guest servicing.
However, the limited breakfast options left much to be desired. The yogurt lacked quality, and the milk being kept in an ice bucket rather than a refrigerator felt unhygienic. The open kitchen also had areas where cleanliness was compromised due to poorly placed trays.
As an Indonesian, I missed having a designated smoking area, though I do understand the restrictions of the Orchard area. As an international hotel, though, it may be beneficial to consider the diverse habits of your guests.
The room was a mixed experience. It smelled pleasant upon check-in, and the air conditioning was perfect. Yet, the cleanliness of the bed and cup cabinets was questionable. A peculiar note was the abundance of mirrors in the room, almost as if the owner has a fascination with them.
Lastly, I must comment on the $S25 meal, specifically the prawn mee. It was bland and far from an authentic Singaporean experience. The preparation also left a lot to be desired, with guests expected to shell the prawns themselves.
The gym was clean and refreshing, though the sauna required an excessive 45-minute wait time to warm up.
In conclusion, my stay at Quincy Hotel had its highs and lows. With some improvements, it could offer a much more enjoyable and authentic Singaporean experience.
i am so happy about choosing the quincy hotel for our holidays. we booked the hotel room for 5 night. it is a quiet and calm place to stay, the hotel rooms are very clean and staffs are very nice to you. also the breakfasts are delicious. in general everything was good. i appreciate for their management.
Also, our shower was not the best.
A weird thing is the glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom. If you're not careful, your roommate will have a great view of you on the toilet.
They give you delicious snacks for free, which was good because the breakfast was horrible. It was truly one of the worst breakfasts I have had in a hotel.
Perhaps the Asian options were better, but we tried every European item on the menu and they were all horrid.
Pastries were stale, the granola on the yogurt had obviously been on there for some time as it was soggy. The list would go on if I cared to continue.
Still not bad value in Singapore, just eat elsewhere
The location was ideal and very accessible to popular malls, bus stops and train station via Orchard Road. Waking around even in the wee hours is safe as well.
The room is big and spacious with all the amenities you need for your stay. Rooms are well kept and has both shower and tub.
They have breakfast meal sets to choose from aside from the 24hr unlimited access to drinks, coffee, and snacks.
The staff:
Front desk (all shifts) were very friendly and accommodating. They will extend help to book you a cab and makes sure your needs are always met.
Dining staff were very accommodating and never fails to offer food choices (meat) and drinks.
The housekeeping staff are very efficient and makes sure the room is neat and clean.
These made my stay seamless, comfortable and feels like home.
Kudos to all the staff, the management who makes sure every guest is well taken cared of.
The wifi connection is also good (fast and strong).
