the hotel was great and the staf also helpful! and the location is closed to wat arun, wat pho, and grand palace.

I liked this old BUT spacious and clean hotel quite a lot. I used to pass it almost every week when I worked nearby but have never been inside, except to use the toilet once long time ago when I joined the protest outside (about 14 years ago!). It has got its glorious days and not too lovely days but now its rooms and hotel interiors have been upgraded (as can be seen in the pictures). I had to catch a shuttle van nearby in the early morning, so I was here, and it didn't disappoint me.
The hotel has several pros, e.g. its location (near important sites in Bangkok, e.g. the Grand Palace/Emerald Buddha Temple, National Museum, National Theater (temporarily closed for renovation), Thammasat University, Sanam Luang (the royal ground), City Pillar, Defense Ministry, various piers, and of course the Democracy Monument, along with its various superb little restaurants on Dinsor Road--not to talk about the popular Kaosan Road), PLUS adequate facilities, relative peacefulness despite the traffic congestion outside, and parking (although it might fill out fast!). The check-in and check-out were fast. There were a few other non-Thai customers, but we didn't have to wait long at all.
Too bad I didn't try out the breakfast because I checked in very late close to midnight but maybe next time I will.
The one con was there weren't enough receptionists making incoming calls void. But this was a minor issue since the porters and staff did their job well.

The place is remarkable and very accessible to all the tourist destinations you're planning to go to. I personally would like to thank a very specific person in their facility, the security personnel, for being very accommodating and assisting on our very first visit on the country. However, i don't want to give a negative review towards the facility, but I hope this will serve as a reminder regarding the "male" receptionist that we encountered who was very rude to us. We have no problem with the service provided by the other staffs.

I hope the facility would take action towards his behavior as a receptionist who welcomes guests.

The hotel is in the middle of everything. It’s walking distance to Khao San road, got nearby 7/11 and easy access for Tuktuk and other transportation options. The staff is very helpful. The housekeeping is very friendly and will ask if you want to have make up room everyday, will take out the trash and refill water for you. The room was okay but there is no hair dryer and iron. One more problem is it’s scary to walk going out or back to hotel at night coz there is so many homeless sleeping at the side.

Hotel is located near Sanam Luang. There is 7-11 100 m. nearby, that’s very convenience. The hotel is quite old but the price is reasonable. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

The room is good and okay. The breakfast is so good. I highly recommend this hotel. I've been here many times already and I kept coming back because of their good services.

On the main center, can walk to temples Wat Arun and Wat Pho and near to party streets
On night can find many people homeless but the are harmless
