Mai Khaolak Beach Resort & Spa - TUIBLUE Mai Khaolak in Khao Lak

Hotel - We stayed in the family room and was very comfortable. There hotel provided clean towels and pool towels, bottled and filtered water and amazing to use a dehumidifier in the room as the last time we started in Thailand, there was so much moisture in the room which led to the dampness and damp smell. We had a swim out room and that was amazing to have! We went with family so it was great to just swim to their rooms. The hotel is a little tired but overall was a nice hotel and staff. There was an adult side that a family member stayed in and looked great.

Dining - our meals were most inclusive and it was good. Selection at times were limited and after a while you tend to have the same things but more reason to try the restaurants in the area.

Staff - were lovely. Really helpful. We have always enjoyed the hospitality and service in Thailand and this hotel was no different.

Location - it is a little drive to the main party of town about 10 minutes but amazing to have beach side restaurants and shops just outside the hotel.

Luxurious resort, with great staff and friendly service. Mohan shone as an exemplary employee. Say 'Hi' to him of you catch him at 'The Bar'.
Plenty of restaurants offering a full array of Thai and Western foods. From breakfast to dessert the food was delicious and plentiful. I had a chicken parmigiana and my daughter had a carbonara pasta that were easily the best that we have ever had. Don't shy away from the green and white pizza or the kimchi bacon pizza, they may sound weird but are delicious.
We had fun engaging in the activities, however I would have liked to see more water sports such as kayaking available to guests and it would have been lovely to see tours to visit a local village to experience the real 'Thailand'.
Tip - Ensure you bring a power adapter if needed, there are no USB charging ports.

Very nice resort with clean rooms, awesome staff and everything was open + in working condition.
I would go back. Just be aware like any other hotel - there could be renovations in the low season. We went at the beginning of the high season which was the end of November and I read comments 3 weeks before that someone had issues with renovations during their stay. We haven’t seen any renovations during our stay though.

We went with our 4 months old baby and took our pram with us. Pram access was possible everywhere and they have lifts as well.
the cot provided was very good and the staff offers mosquito spray in the room.

Don’t leave any food or dirty napkins in your room as the ants will be there very quickly and could ruin it for you and also for the people staying after you’re gone!

Unfortunately I got very sick during my stay and had to use the 24/7 medical Center located within the hotel premises multiple times and had to be on IV Drip. It’s a very good doctor and team that are doing everything they can to get you back on track! They have their own clinic called Bangkok medical clinic where they offer X-ray as well. They can order medication quickly from Bangkok if required and it will be there the next day.

The resort is really beautiful and big! very family friendly staff and they have a big program with lots of different activities. I would recommend to download the TUI Blue app and search for your hotel, then you can see the daily activities which could change daily!

We booked half board and were very happy with the food options in all the different restaurants!
The only thing that was disappointing for the buffets is that the potatoes are not fully cooked through and all „crispy“ food options are soft and soggy. I think they should change the way they keep their food warm for crispy options. The buffet itself has a good variety of food including a kids corner. They offer lots of different juices and smoothies for breakfast which taste amazing!

as we all know there are different types of 5* hotels. Please don‘t expect pure luxury. There is nothing wrong with this hotel and it fully met and even exceeded my expectations. It is a great value option if you look for good deals and compare prices.

Really lovely Hotel. Perfect location for me on the beautiful Pak weep beach. Went as a package deal with luxury escapes included was a free massage. They were booked up until after I came home so that was my only negative really. The staff don't speak much English and my Thai is non existent so difficult to communicate. The breakfast was fantastic. I ate at the beach cafes alot in the evening to be near the ocean. They were all lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel if your looking for a lovely relaxing holiday with easy access to Khao Lak markets and town if you want. I would go back to this hotel.

Excellent location for a relaxing getaway, spacious rooms, excellent pools, good food with generous portions especially the breakfast options. I loved having direct beach access to other dining and massage options for the family. We also booked some excellent day trip options from the tour desk which were wonderful experiences with flexibility on timeframes. Having shuttle buses available to take you into the main town was convenient or it was just a 15 minute cheap taxi ride. Best of all was the service. All staff were great but the Stand outs were Gokul in the Green and Grill restaurant who was exceptional and all the Porter/ buggy drivers.

Went to this hotel after staying there several years ago. With urgent book, surprised to find that the price is lower compared to other hotels with same stars, but traded off by a few downsides probably from cost cutting: missing ued-to-have amenities, fewer staff, dated-facilities. Besides these, it is still the best value for money: surprisingly good breakfast line, next to the beach without visible road in between, large room.

Everything is good. Best to chill and relax at hotel..

Really nice stay thank you. It's a perfect place for families with lots of activities but there's also a quieter adult zone which is ensures a calmer and more luxurious stay. Close to the beach , lots of pools and restaurants on site and as usual the staff are very good. The family part of the hotel is showing its age a bit, but I think that's reflected in the price.
The food at the sky bar is excellent by the way.

Hotel is so big, swimming pool beautiful , breakfast delicious
