Beyond Resort Khaolak - SHA Plus in Khao Lak

Fabulous stay. Big, clean rooms. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Setting is lovely great selection of pools. Including swim up cocktail bar. There are shuttles to town. Next door there is a beach restaurant which does great food and cocktails. Also, a lady who has a great laundry service. Also, a massage place. All at really good prices.

Used to be better. Back in 2020 this was an adults only hotel but not anymore. So beware if you have been here before, things have changed more than just the name. Also no watersports activities (SUP boards etc)available anymore, only a weird French club of some kind but because we dont understand French, we dont know what thats about.

Its still a beautiful setting and a lovely resort with excellent surroundings, but the concept seems to be lost now. I dont understand why are they trying to be like all other resorts and have abandoned adults only concept...

The hotel is beautiful, with attention to every detail and very clean. The rooms are large and spacious, and the staff is super friendly and available for anything. The Thai people are truly wonderful! We'll definitely be back for another stay.

When "beyond" is more than just a Hotel Name:
This was our second time in the Khao Lak region and we chose this hotel based on reviews read on booking.com and other resources.
This place is truly amazing! Everyone is super helpful, friendly, courteous and overall willing to go the extra mile for you. We stayed in one of the premier villas and we're blown away of how spacious, well designed and equipped it was. The facilities were in tip top shape (co-incidentally, we've received new lounge chairs for sitting outside in the garden area on my birthday).
Front-Desk staff was always super friendly, available for a quick chat and giving out advice. You'll be invited to a "cocktails with the management" event during your stay. It's a great chance to place your requests and wishes directly at the "top of the food chain".
Nick from Management was super helpful, Alma from the restaurant went above and beyond every single day!

Good to know: Since the complex was re-branded at the beginning of November 2025, they've moved away from being an "adults only" Resort. This is in no way something bad - but just for being transparent, should one consider or want/need a place to stay without kids.

Needless to state, that there's NOTHING bad to say at all about this Resort. We're very much looking forward to staying there again.

If I could give this resort a higher rating than 5 I would. Everything was perfect: the resort, the room, including cleanliness, the beach, the staff and the service. We originally booked 3 nights and changed our plans and stayed 6. We will definitely return and tell everyone we know about this resort.

Very secluded place. A large beach. Plenty of sunbeds. Diverse a pool area with Jacuzzi.

Great place for relax time. There are all Villas for you to stay and relax with resort private beach.
Staff is friendly and prompt to help you.

This hotel was quite nice. We went full board and the concept was a little different to what we have done previously in that your given an allowance towards the food.
We found the food and drink to be expensive so consider going bed and breakfast. There are some great and cheap restaurants close by.

We arrived just a couple of days before the Christmas holiday. Our villa was spacious, and perfectly located not far from the reception or the beach. As a vegan, I had plenty of delicious choices at Saladsthe breakfast buffet, noodles, rice, beans, potatoes, and fruits, plus all the foods for non vegans!
For the Christmas party, we made a reservation with Alma who made sure to inform the chef about my vegan needs. As we arrived, the waiter made sure to inform me that I didn't have to wait on the buffet line as my food had been prepared in the kitchen, and would be served directly to the table. The chef, stopped by our table to make sure I was happy with my meal, which I was ☺️, and checked on us often. I can't say enough good things about this place. Just a couple of days in, and we are having a fantastic time.
