Bauman Ville Hotel

The street is very loud. We had our room towards the street and balcony doors are not that good.

Room was clean, but we didn't have clean bathroom. It needs maintenance. There was a lot mold.

The swimming pool is not like the one on the video from review of someone. Its smaller which is not an issue but it's not in back of the hotel is by the main road... So if you go for swim cars are passing by. There is quite a few low hanging cabels above that swimming pool... Few chairs to sit on, but nothing extra. We did use it.

Beach is not far but you need to walk by the 'main' road for a bit.. If you rent scooters it's fine, you can park them just outside of the accommodation.

We didn't want anyone to enter our room during our stay so I can't tell you how is day service in here.

Location overall, italian restaurant across the street worth to try. 7/11 across the street, thai massage right next to the accommodation, laundry services as well. And pharmacy too. All you might possibly need is there.

Air con was working fine, wifi too.

Overall I don't think I would stay here again due the cleanliness in bathroom.

When we arrived at the hotel late at night, after 10pm, there was confusion as to the room type we had booked. We reserved 2 superior doubles, but were initially taken to 2 family rooms on the ground floor. They were dark, had small windows and featured 3 single beds. We were then shown 2 similar rooms on the same floor, one of which had clearly not been cleaned. We were obviously not impressed and were offered to switch the next day to the room types we had booked. After insisting and inquiring about rooms on higher floors, we were then taken to 2 rooms that matched our reservation on the 3rd floor. We also requested one extra pillow but our request was met with "we are fully booked". We just had been taken to 6 different empty rooms at past 10pm... Don't lie, just say "all pillows are accounted for" or "we don't have spare pillows".

It's also another hotel that does not match the photos used to promote it in terms of aesthetics. Just lower your expectations, and don't expect to find what you see like a sitting area in the lobby or any kind of embelishment. Bare skin. To be completely fair, the size of the rooms is surprisingly big and rooms are clean. It is also decently located, about 20-25 minutes walking downhill to the beach. We heard noise from one room next to us one night and on our last night there was no water for a little over an hour. The Bauman Ville is on a busy street, don't expect to keep your windows opened. It is however surrounded by a number of services such as a 24h laundromat, 7-11, a coffee cart and many restaurants. No kettles in the rooms, but there was a mini fridge and a safe. There is a small pool attached to a ground floor outdoor lounge that appeared to be operated independently. For the backpackers and budget conscious travelers, this hotel offers adequate accommodation. Staff service is minimum. Overall our experience matched the price.
