Patong Palace Hotel - SHA Extra Plus

The service was really good, especially that we spoke to them over the phone before arrival and they promised a room with a nice balcony.
The room was very spacious and clean. The air conditioning was very good. The bed stand was vintage which I liked. It had built in plastic buttons to control the lights, the A.C and the fan. I loved that. The bathroom had a tub which is something I appreciate.
The balcony was huge and looked over the beautiful garden and pool. There was a small staircase outside our room, from the hall directly onto the garden, which has a lovely path towards the outdoor reception area. They promptly arranged for motorbike rental and the process was simple.

Really good place. Stayed there for a 3 weeks, never had any issues with staff. Manager Kanja is really welcoming and helpful. A little issues with WiFi, but overall it’s a good place to stay.

Very good value. Good location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Clean pool, and the water quality is well controlled.

Easy check-in, free but limited parking(not many spaces). Location was a few minutes from the beach. Nearby to lots of small stores, restaurants, and within walking distance to most of the popular areas. The breakfast/on site restaurant, looked really nice. The rooms are set back from the road and really quiet. Room was spacious, but dated furniture and electrical fittings. Each room has a large balcony, with a table and chairs, with views of the garden and the adjacent buildings. The balconies are not screened off from each other.
On one side of the corridor linking all the rooms, was the rear of an empty hotel and was quite ugly, could be screened of from view. I stayed for 1 night, with no issues. The room was large and clean. Little to no hot water, at night or morning. Otherwise can recommend for short stay.

Clean and private rooms surrounding a beautiful and peaceful garden, including a pool, where I spend most of my time at.
High quality level of food, from breakfast buffet to the menu in the restaurant. Authentic and regional Thai cuisine, made from fresh ingredients.
Service is friendly and very obliging, they’ve been helping me with finding a good diving school and organised taxis with fair prizing.
I’ve spend one week with my girlfriend, but I think it’s also very family friendly.
If I ever find myself in Phuket again, I will definitely stay at patong palace again.

I stayed here for 5 nights over the Christmas holiday for about 2,110 baht per night after taxes and fees. I booked directly on their website, as it was slightly cheaper than booking through travel websites like Agoda or Kayak. However, booking directly requires the staff to manually confirm your reservation over the course of 24 hours. I was looking to book their last available room for those dates, so it was somewhat nerve-wracking to wait for the confirmation email just 3 days before my check-in date.

The hotel is on the northern end of Patong Beach, meaning it's still close to the activity (the beach itself, Bangla street) without as much of the noise and rowdiness. The hotel is strategically placed behind a street-facing restaurant, which means that the rooms are even quieter. I got great sleep each night, thanks to the great location, quiet hotel neighbors, being on the second floor (of two floors), and the firm mattress.

I appreciated how big the room was, as well as the mini fridge (contains two complimentary bottles of water) and strong shower pressure. The room contained a coffee maker, which I didn't use. My balcony overlooked the garden and pool. The hotel is of an older style and doesn't appear to have had any recent renovations. The hotel key needs to placed in a slot to power the room, so the mini fridge defrosts while one is out and about. The air conditioning is strong but can only be controlled with 4 buttons by the bed: off, low, medium, and high. In other words, you can't control the temperature of the room, just the strength of the air conditioning. The air conditioner works well though! Low strength was a bit too cold for me, but I was able to fold the blankets on top of me.

Wifi in the back rooms is not great, despite the hotel having tons of routers. That's my largest criticism of the hotel. Wifi in the lobby is strong, though. You also get 1 beach towel per person per day, which you check in and out near reception.

Overall, I'd stay here again!

We spent 3 weeks in this wonderful hotel. This is our 4th year of visiting Thailand and we have stayed in other hotel before the patong palace. The grounds are beautiful with lovely flowers throughout and staff are so lovely and accommodating x the site is cleaned and maintained everyday along with the pool and just a pleasure to be here. 💞

I stayed here for 4 days during my trip in Thailand. The hotel is very well located with several restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. The place is surprisingly quiet and the stuff is very helpful. You can also use the pool which is very nice and they also offer you a towel for the pool or if you are going to Patong beach which is 12 min away. They clean the rooms daily and they change sheets/towels. I recommend this place!🔝

I stayed in Patong Palace for 6 days in November. Offers good value for the price and a good choice if you would like to stay at the beach or go on trips.
The furniture is indeed somewhat old but this does not disturb much.
Included: 1 beach towel per day per person, safe at the reception, soap+shampoo+bathing caps+cotton swabs, towels, toilet paper, bottled water (1 l per day - not sure if per room or per person)
Not included: shower gel, hairdryer
Air condotioner and fridge a bit loud, but from my room the noise of the restaurants could not be heard. Frogs can be loud indeed, but, again, depends on the location of the room.
The pool is not fancy but usable. The nearest beach is about 8 minites walk. The centre (Bangla Road) is about 15 minutes on foot. You can take a taxi but the traffic in the evening during high season is very busy.
Hotel staff very friendly.
I did not try breakfast, there are a lot of cafes in 5-10 min walking distance offering all day/late breakfast.
