Cihangir Hotel

Very disappointed by this hotel, i reserved with family and my 2 kids (one baby 2 years and one 3years ) and they scammed me and didn’t want to reimburse me . By the excuse that they have construction they forced me at 1 am to go to another guest house (not hotel) with a very bed condition

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel. First, the rooms were not clean, especially the bathroom l. Second, the staff decided to serve breakfast only on two of the four days we were there. They just skipped breakfast on two mornings despite us paying for breakfast. The food served was the cheapest possible option.

1. The place is extremely dirty - we stayed for 8 days in total and it was not cleaned. When we arrived, our room was not clean. On one specific day, it was clear that contractors had been working in our room when we were out. The floor had dirty water which had not been cleaned.
2. The place has a bad odour - the toilet (badly stained) and kitchen sink had a bad odour. The floor had an odour from rotting floorboards and the walls have an odour from rotting damp.
3. We had to constantly ask for fresh towels and toilet paper. The "fresh" towels did not smell clean and had stains in them.
4. The breakfast included with our stay was not what we had expected having stayed in Istanbul before and experienced a pleasant and fresh breakfast. We were given instant coffee sachets and the water from the urn was always cold. We were reluctant to eat anything given the overall lack of cleanliness. The juice machines have mould growing on them where juice has gathered and has not been cleaned. They often ran out of plates and when there were plates these appeared to be recycled from a restaurant.
5. The pictures online depict a fancy lobby which is not a true reflection of the entire hotel. The rooms are definitely misrepresented.
