The City Hotel

The filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Avoid it at all costs. The triple rooms do not have three beds, but an additional tiny creaky one. Cleaning is something they definitely avoid..

We stayed here because we had purchased a whole bundle from an agency to visit Istanbul. The hotel is advertised as a four-star hotel, however I would rate it as a two-star hotel at best.
I can begin with the elevators that do not fully close and demand a lengthy wait period. The corridors reeked of cigarette smoke.
Then we enter the room, which is fairly little and full of ancient furniture. It would be fine if it wasn't so filthy, and I had to disinfect it myself to make it livable. We couldn't use the air conditioner because it appeared to be a biohazard, and it was really hot outside when we visited Istanbul in mid-August. The fridge was so hot, and the TV was buzzing even when it was turned off. The bathroom ventilation did not function, and it was incredibly dirty. Also, the toilet broke in the last morning we stayed there.
I couldn't figure out the room temperature. When it was hot outside, the temperature was very pleasant inside the room; but, when it was cold outside at night, the temperature in the room rose as something was generating a lot of heat, and we couldn't figure out what was causing this. We also kept the windows open at all times.
We only went to breakfast once, but there wasn't much to select from, and the vegetables were terrible (that's all I dared to try).
The area where the hotel is located was very dirty and made us feel uneasy.
If the curtains were not closed at all times, people in other rooms could see us.
I haven't had much interaction with the personnel, but they were helpful.
The total experience was quite negative, and I couldn't express how badly I wanted to leave.

The worst hotel we've ever been into,
Very small rooms they sell a 3 person room that fit 1 person in reality , the mattresses are all very old and weared down , the room service is zero, there is no kettle/Boiler and the whole hotel has no lights inside and located in the worst area possible for many reasons. I can go on and on for hours , just don't go to it.

This hotel WAS a 4* hotel, now it’s just a shadow, not even 1* can describe this place.

I will start describing from the moment I took a step into the room, the smell of cigarettes struck me and I noticed the windows were closed, showing me that the room was not airy after the last customers. Because of this, the cigarette smell was also imprinted in the sheets from the bed, being hard to sleep. The sheets also had holes in them. We asked at the reception to change the sheets, but they did not do it… (some of my friends did not have soap and when asking for it at the reception they said it was a store across the street… very unprofessional staff and services, considering the 4*)

Continuing, walking into the room I couldn’t not observe the dirt on the floor, looking like the carpet hasn't been vacuumed for weeks, at least. I wiped the table and the cabinets with wet napkins, which then turned black after using them… we tried to arrange our stuff at minimum.

AND if you think that it sounds bad until here, I didn’t get to describe the bathroom yet which was… at least to say dirty. The wc was dirty with…I hope it wasn’t p**p, the mirror was dirty, the towels smelled bad and had also holes in them, the shower hasn’t seen hygienization in months, at least.

In my opinion, the good positioning location and the ok food doesn’t justify the horrors of this hotel and the money, you could find better.

Horror hotel! The rooms are dirty and smells of cigarettes. The sheets from the bed have holes in them.
The bathroom is also dirty and smells very bad, the towels also have holes in them and they don’t change daily.

The 4* is a joke… the money doesn’t justify the hotel, the services, the unprofessional staff.
I don’t recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel , nice city . Everything was fine untill I lost my wallet inside the hotel , or someone stolled it from me . INSIDE THE HOTEL!!! If you want to stay here , be verry care full with your personal things. There are thieves in there.

It is such a low quality place in compare with stars and price. So bad and more than bad breakfast. everything is low quality. any warm dishes are cold and really in unwanted taste. rooms small and untidy. what a bad view which I see till now.do not choose tjis place for your best traveling time.

Nothing good about this hotel . Only the location . The rooms small workers not friendly with guests. Reception staff are not good and there is no hospitality at all . They looks strange in the guests eyes without even smiling . And they make the person feel that you are not welcome.
