Galata Hotel & Suites

They kicked us out to do electrical work and wont refund us for the 6 nights we didn't stay there. Keep sending me one space messages on booking.com chat after i asked for my $500 refund which is weirdly antagonistic. Genoa Port Hotel was so much nicer and cheaper

oh, yees!! yep, exactly the same has happened to me... they charged money and then sent a message that the card was declined. So, they cancelled the booking but did not return the money... now I am strangling to get it back. Never book this property.

A big scam, don’t waste your time
I booked a month before my trip and they confirmed the booking
Then after a while they kept declining saying that the card was declined (even thought I use it internationally on a regular basis), I used another card and they declined.
Now we’re a week before our trip, and it looks like they just canceled our stay because they wanted to reserve the room for somebody else.

Edit: both cards in my name and I always use them inside and outside of Turkye, and you can see the level of professionalism of this hotel from their response

As of now I need to rate one star or less. I was supposed to stay for three nights but they cancell it saying that my card was denied. When in reality the issue is that they fail a fire alarm control and no one can stay in the hotel.

They charged the first night (aprox 42eur around 3 weeks ago and tried to charged my card again yesterday eventhough they said that I could t stay in the hotel.

I tried to contact them in booking and never replied.
I tried though WhatsApp and they confirmed they fire incidence and confirmed that I cannot stay in the hotel, but never give a solution on where to stay or when the money would be given back.

Waiting for their response already for 2 days.

I see similar opinions lately, so I want to think it is a punctual issue of this week, but I really hope they can solve it and return the money to all affected people.
