Galata Grace

Dec 2016 my parents stayed here, I chose it by location and view. Fine hotel.

Rooms are clean. Reception staff very helpful and polite. In General, all staff members are super nice. Loved the pancakes used to be offered during breakfast 😉😉

Nice hotel near Galata tower, excellent value for money...
It has great view from the terrace but not the same from the room (room view looks at some old ugly building)
Clean, quiet, in a walking distance from two metro stations sishane and halic (1st one up the hill, 2nd down the hill), recommended for young couples ;)

Galata Grace is not exactly "the hotel", but more like house with concierge: the hall on the first floor, 3 floors with 2 apartments on each and the 5-th floor with the kitchen and beautiful terrace and fantastic view oa Istanbul, Halic Bridge, Golden Horn, few mosques and even Valenta aqueduct.
The hotel is very clean, nice amv stylish, the personnel is very nice too and speaks English. You can order a Turkish breakfast at the terrace at usual price (EUR 15 per person). Also you can have tea and coffee for free during all day, take your own food and drinks to the fridge and have you meal or just seat or work or chat whenever you want at this beautiful terrace, we absolutely loved it!
The rooms are small but comfort and clean, but you should remember that there are other houses around and at night you better close the curtains for your privacy.
Other minus - is some fuel oil odor from Halic Bridge at night, but we just didn't open the window using air conditioner and everything was OK. Besides you also have the minaret near hotel so if you don't want to wake up for prayer at 12.00 p.m and 5.00 a.m. you also better keep your window closed.
But these are just few little moments not compared with overall comfort of the hotel, its location (10 minutes to Galata Tower, 5 minutes to Metro/tram station/Golden Horn embankment) and unbelievable terrace and view.
