Very good location. We booked through Airbnb and they said shared kitchen but you can't use it for cooking. Only the pay the breakfast lunch dinner. Also they have a kettle in the room so you can drink tea or coffee

It was our first time in Turkey and Istanbul was our first city in the country. We stayed at Galley Hotel.

The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating; the hospitality is amazing, too. It’s about ~10 min walk from the Blue Mosque!

I loved the fact that they left us some fresh fruits after they cleaned our rooms, definitely recommend Galley!

We stayed for 10 days, which for most of these, one of us was recovering from a surgery. During our whole stay, the staff has been amazingly accommodating, they made sure we had everything we needed and accommodated us with our irregular demands. They have been incredibly understanding and made us feel welcome and cared for. We stayed in at the hotel most of the time for recovery, and the little common areas (kitchen, terrace), made a big difference in our well being.

Everything was clean, cleaning staff was helpful and efficient. Changing all towels and mats every time.

The room’s facilities were all functional and clean.

The location is great, has quick eats and restaurants nearby, pharmacies, groceries, shops etc. It is easy to walk out and go for sightseeing the old town.

I fully reccommend Galley Hotel for a pleasant stay in Istanbul and would visit again anytime.

Before booking you have to know it's not a hotel, despite its name. Like most of low cost hotel in Istanbul, the word 'Hostel' better describe it. It's clean and they behave politely. Our room had a window to street and it was very noisy even at nights. Other rooms have Beach view. One of the worst thing about the room was the toilet. It's floor was washed up all time as it seems the faucet was flowing out. And also there were no suitable slippers for this condition.

Our rooms looked just like the photos.

Plenty of sunlight, the room and washroom were both very clean and new. Wifi was decently fast.

The AC ran out of gas for one night (which obviously happens every once in a while, not their fault), they quickly fixed it the next morning.

Farouk was very helpful and respectful. He went above and beyond for us. He always went out of his way to help us and give us guidance.

Cant find a better place for the price. I would definitely stay here if I ever visit Istanbul again.

Hotel is a little far from Sultan Ahmet square, like a 10 min walk or so, but walking and seeing interesting shops, cute hotel and restaurant decors was worth it for me. We also found Little Sofia mosque because of that 10 minute walk.Since we had to walk we were also able to see homes of the locals and it is also nice to see how the people in certain places live or interact as well.
Hotel front desk staff named Farouk is nice and helpful. Place is quiet and cozy.

Rooms were a little bit small but refurbished, nice and clean.
Hotel is located in a peaceful and lovely neighborhood, close to metro and bus station, also a few steps from "Kum Kapı" square which is an entertainment center and "Yeni kapı" beach. Also, close to ancient monuments such as "küçuk haci sofia" etc.

We stayed at Galley Hotel for 4 nights in 2 different rooms, both were extremely clean and nice, sheets are clean, kettle and tea, minibar and drinking water available, bathroom and shower excellent, hot water, warm rooms, comfy and relaxing, with no bothering sounds or crowd at all. it’s located in a silent tiny neighborhood near sea and most of the rooms have sea views. The only thing that could make it an absolutely perfect hotel is the size of the rooms which are a little too small but it’s something they have already mentioned in room descriptions so no problem again.
There was a beautiful balcony with sea view where I worked there over one night with my laptop while drinking tea. Very good for this price. I recommend.
