The hotel is fantastically located right across from the T1 tram line station which can get you directly to the main attractions of the city.
Rooms are mostly fine - the bed is very comfortable and the AC actually works, however the bathroom was in an awful state with mould around the bath, the shower screen not sealing so the floor floods with every shower and the sink leaking water from the drain onto the floor.
Every time we left the room the key had to be redone so we could get back in, maybe the first time we accidentally put it near our phone it after that we made sure to keep it separate and safe....nope, still had to trek back to reception every single time.
Food is overwhelmingly average. Drink prices are overinflated but you're forced to pay since you can't bring food/drinks from outside to the poolside area.
At first I had no issues with the staff, they weren't overly friendly and happy but they did help us out so that's okay. After my last morning I have to change that and I'm now in agreement with the other reviews that have said there are some rude members of staff who are absolutely unwilling to help.
If you want somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay this is it. If you want a fiver star experience, this place is a lie and you'd be better off elsewhere.
Restaurant staff are nice
But I have 3 observations:-
1. Today and yesterday room services were very poor, they simply arranged the bed and folded towels only😄
2. There are big cockroach found in different places including room
I hope these deficits will be fixed soon
3. We have reserved the major meeting room for around 45 days but we always have to keep asking for water supply during our meetings which I found so weird
Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Holiday Inn in Istanbul. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet — it was delicious, well-varied, and offered excellent value. Honestly, there’s no need to look elsewhere for breakfast; it had everything we needed to start our days right.
The rooms were a bit on the smaller side, but they were clean and comfortable, and overall the hotel offered great value for the price.
The gym, while spacious, had older equipment and could have been cleaner. It’s not a major concern since most guests likely don’t use it, but it's something the hotel could improve on in the future.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn for anyone visiting Istanbul. It’s a great option with solid amenities and a fantastic breakfast to kick off your day.
Rooms are comfy and very clean. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and always smiling.
Special shoutout to Serdar from the Consierge desk. He is a gem and extremely responsible person. He personally made sure that my friend's laptop was duly picked up by the courier service. Thank you Serdar. You are a Rockstar.
