Meroddi Barnathan Hotel

Stayed at the Meroddi Barnathan Hotel for 4 nights in 2024, and it was an incredible experience!

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. Memet, the concierge, was amazing—so friendly and welcoming. Even though we arrived before our room was ready, he made sure we felt at home, offering complimentary drinks and a relaxing space in the restaurant. It was a great way to start our stay.

The highlight of our mornings was undoubtedly the breakfast on the rooftop. The view overlooking the Bosphorus was nothing short of breathtaking, making every meal a memorable one. The spread was fresh and satisfying, and dining with such a stunning backdrop was the perfect way to start each day.

Our room, while on the smaller side, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, meeting all our expectations.

The location of the hotel was another major plus. It was perfectly situated, close to everything we wanted to visit, making it easy to explore Istanbul's vibrant attractions.

Overall, the combination of exceptional service, stunning views, and a prime location made our stay at Meroddi Barnathan Hotel unforgettable. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul!

Pros: Price is on the lower end in Istanbul, the breakfast choice is top notch for the price, the view from the rooftop is unmatched, WiFi is strong across the hotel, staff is accommodating and attentive. The room is small but has a nice big bed to make up for it.

Cons: hotel is dated. The rooms lack light and the bathroom shower head was constantly loose cresting a wet mess. The drainage in the bathroom is awful causing a small flood every shower.

We stayed there in Oct 2024 and we were very pleasantly surprised by the level of care provided by the team.

Service was great, the front desk and guest relations manager were super helpful. They helped to organise a birthday surprise for my mom-in-law and also gave us many helpful tips (also thanks for lending us the Istanbul card!)

We got the junior suite and it was cosy, always clean and had a great view of the Galata tower.

Not forgetting, breakfast was served at the rooftop which gave us 240 degree views. There was also a lovely spread and free flow of Turkish tea!

If I were to return to Istanbul, I’d definitely stay here again

Wonderful stay in a charming hotel close to the Galata Tower. Rooms lovely but I would recommend booking the suite type rooms as the others are very small. Stand out during our stay was the charming Şevval on the front desk. She went out of her way to help us with bookings, recommendations etc. She even went as far as coming to us at the restaurant next to the hotel to help us with a reservation!! She is amazing and the hotel is very lucky to have her.

Stayed here for several nights for a family reunion. Location is excellent and hotel has nice rooms and great roof top restaurant and bar. Close to Istiklal street with great shopping. Easy trips to old town and Asia side. Service was sensational. Can’t wait to come again.

The best hotel I have ever been!

1. The staff is absolutely amazing! They do everything to make you feel welcome and make your stay perfect! Huge thank you to Samira, Kadir and Batula who really went above and beyond. From the very beginning, they had great communication and made sure every need we had was taken care of.

2. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. Going to bed with a view of Galata Tower is just something else!

3. The rooftop terrace and the breakfast there steals the show. As amazing as everything else was, this was the best part. We spent very morning there with a view over Istanbul and it was just perfect!

I really don’t exaggerate when I say that our stay there was perfect and that we cannot wait to go back. I have never had a stay where everything was just so spot on.
