Stayed five nights here. The room was huge and appeared to have been renovated relatively recently. They did a great job incorporating a modern classy look while keeping the best of what the old hotel had. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location just a block off İstiklal St is surrounded by restaurants from inexpensive to more high end. I’d happily stay here again.

Let’s start with the good: The location is fantastic — steps away from Istiklal Street, right by the metro to get you to other places in Istanbul, plenty of shops and cafes without having to take the horrible taxis filled with mean and angry men (avoid the taxis in Istanbul, they aren’t very kind/understanding). The room was spacious and modern, the bed was great and shower was pretty good. Our room didn’t have hot water but they fixed that and it was perfect after.
The bad: One of the selling points of this hotel on their website was that it was “soundproof,” and it most definitely is not! You can hear people just *talking* through the walls, and the noise from the bars downstairs easily gets in through the windows. Which, in and of itself was fine. I know we’re in the middle of the busiest part of town, and I brought ear plugs, but it’s ridiculous they say it’s soundproof and don’t offer ear plugs to the poor souls who believed them.
The staff was mostly very kind, except for a couple of people who were angry that I had brought a friend with me for the reservation. I admittedly made a mistake and didn’t say it was for 2 people because I assumed the occupancy being 2 people just allowed it. I felt really bad about the mistake, but they were kind and just allowed him to register with the hotel and stay with me. That said, their treatment afterwards was kind of jarring. It felt like they were judging us for being two men in a single room, and we felt severely less welcome after that.
It’s a good hotel for the price, but warning to anyone traveling with the same sex it felt like this hotel didn’t want any of that. I was meeting my friend for the first time after knowing him 15 years and after making a mistake with the reservation I felt bad we had to stay in such a place we felt unwelcome, mistake or not.
Silver lining: The hotel cleaning staff constantly replaced our free water bottles and made cute origami with the towels and I really appreciated that, and was very grateful to everyone who was kind to us.

I always enjoy staying at Misafir 8 hotel .
The hotel is clean and the service is great.
The team are friendly and always welcoming and very supportive . The General Manager is looking after all details with her team to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable. It is highly recommended to stay with family and friends.

The hotel is amazing! Very well located, on a little street behind Istiklal, so it's pretty quiet considering the touristic area. We got upgraded for free from a standard room to a deluxe studio and everything about the room was amazing. I am sure the standard one is nice as well. In the hallways it smells amazing, the rooms are very clean and the people are really really nice (bith receptionists & cleaning personal & breakfast personal). They had a little delay with our check-in so the receptionist offered us turkish tea. They also allowed us late check-out and luggage deposit for a few hours. Breakfast is pre-portioned by them but it is very tasty and various, so no worries, you will eat plenty of delicious food. If you ask for something more in particular, they will give it to you. I really recommend this hotel for everyone going to Istanbul.

This hotel was located very close to the most important places over here and you could easily walk over to the main streets and the food available here nearby was very good for looking to spend time in Istanbul. Specially, if you’re a tourist this could be an excellent location. The hotel was clean and things were arranged very well. Had a good night sleep and an excellent breakfast.

This place is not for family and neither kids friendly. The junior suite we got was small accommodation. Place was behind the main street in narrow area. Slow customer service. We had to call or remind them multiple time for things. Staff was not much cooperative or helpful.

Had a great experience at Misafir Suites!! The rooms are very cozy and staff is super super accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay again here!

Horrible. A/c is very hot, toilet door wouldn't open until the next day, and when we told them about these issues they simply said "other customers never complained".
Shower head was also broken.
There is only one elevator, which has touch sensors instead of buttons, and it barely works
We booked two rooms and ended up all sleeping in one.
Overall I think one star is more than it deserves, but that's the lowest rating I can give.

I liked the location, our room was very nice and spacious, very clean and very well maintained amneties, we asked for a quiet room because we have small children and they gave us a room in the third floor. The breakfast was very nice with a nice view from the roof.

Rooms are just ok, not the cleanest but acceptable. Towels are not being changed even though you put them on the floor, they are just drying them and putting back folded which is quite inconvenient when you're a business traveller sharing room with your colleague. The worst thing though is the hotel bar on the top floor that is just plain robbery charging additional fees and giving you 'free snacks' that turn to be quite expensive when you ask for a bill. Not to mention the alcohol cost itself there which is absolutely ridiculous and should be considered cheating when you compare it to other places (4-5 times more than normally)
