Nowy Efendi Hotel - Special Category

Location couldn't be better to be close from all the main attractions in Istanbul. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. Room was small but comfortable and super clean. Amazing breakfast with good coffee on a beautiful rooftop. I highly recommend!

Our stay at this hotel September 2024 was so good.
The staff go above and beyond to help out and are always so pleasant and happy to help. Big shout out to Anil and Numaan at reception.
Made us feel so welcome.

Four of us shared a family suite which had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom in it, it had all basics and was clean.

Breakfast is satisfactory. Some days were repetitive but overall we enjoyed it.
Omelettes are free for 1 day only.

The view from the rooftop of Hagia sophia is so beautiful, see foto.

We really enjoyed our stay here during the summer. The location is great. 10 minutes from the team station and from all the tourist attractions. We pretty much walked everywhere.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and cozy.
The breakfast buffet was also very nice. It's on the top most floor and you can go to the rooftop as well. The view from the hotel is very nice. There were a lot of vegetarian options in the buffet.
I would totally recommend staying here if you are visiting the city.

We had a lovely stay in this small hotel right in the heart of Sultanahmet, the historic centre of Istanbul. The main sites are all walkable. The service was exceptional, the bed comfortable and the location ideal. Breakfast was a generous buffet of Turkish food, with a few European options too, served on a terrace overlooking Hagia Sofia. There was some construction noise during the day, but it was quiet at night. Would certainly stay here again.

Great location within walking distance to all the main attractions and great restaurants. Very welcoming and kind staff. Lovely breakfast and nice terrace with views.

For the price and service we got plus the last min booking - It did the job for that 1 night. We had issues with our airbnb so were scrambling to book another hotel past midnight, this saved us. So thank you!

The rooms are very clean and the staff were very attentive to our needs.
The breakfast is a nice mix, and nothing is too much trouble.

It’s really great hotel, their customer service is exceptional, they will greet you each time you leave and come back. They provide with tea and biscuits/cake complimentary anytime at their bar.

Room is clean and housekeeping is high standard. Location is great as you have tram station next to it and the landmark places such as blue mosque etc

They have old tv in their rooms which is the downside, usually hotels comes with smart tv where you can use your own accounts on apps and use it.

Me and my husband stayed here for 6 nights. It’s a small hotel with probably 20 rooms. The location of the hotel is brilliant very close to the all the local amenities, tram stops, mosques and plenty of restaurants. Firstly we were put in a small room, however this was then upgraded after showing them the expectation of the double room we booked after seeing pictures online.
The hotel staff were very pleasant. The only thing I would say is not sure what kind of bed sheets or washing powder they used but me and my husband were very itchy throughout the night. The hotel provides a free water bottle for the first day, after this you are expected to pay for water from the mini bar.
The breakfast could have been better, there was not much variety and again omelettes/ eggs are free on the first occasion but then to be paid for if requested at breakfast. Considering that you pay for your full stay, the hotel needs to consider the extra charges they request.
One thing I must say is for any taxis requested agree a price before paying or you may get charged a lot more than expected. Luckily we agreed a price for a yellow taxi on the last day, however a private taxi appeared at the door. I had to make sure the price agreed with the hotel was what they would charge us although they did try to charge more, luckily as we agreed prior they had to stick to their word.
Overall a nice place but a few changes do need to be made, including extra charges for simple things like water.
