I would like to warn everyone about this awful disgusting house (hotel?). I swear I have never seen smth like this stinky hole in my life. We arrived late night and reception wasn’t there - seems like they used it against us and gave the baddest room they have - it was on the top floor next to the roof stairs cluttered with cleaning equipment. The room 402 was smelling of dampness, it was unreal cold and ac behind the wardrobe didn’t help at all. The sink faucet was torn off and wobbly, the bathroom was covered in black mold, the door was broken and could fall at any moment. Due to the fact that the floor creaked, the beds were uneven, the bed linen was covered with holes, it was very disgusting to sleep in it, so I did not even take off my outer clothes. We left next morning as early as possible and still reception wasn’t there. The “service” they provided it’s a criminal against whole hospitality industry. They even didn’t try to contact with us, just cancelled booking from their side. What a shame, i wish money i paid will not do you any good!

The House of Tulpan will always be a fantastic retreat, located in the heart of Istanbul's prime tourist area. Its historic architecture and exceptional service have made it a sanctuary for tired travelers. With its spacious accommodations, modern amenities, and hospitable staff, it provided an undeniably memorable experience. Whether for business or leisure, the hotel offers a perfect combination of comfort and most needed utilities, ensuring a remarkable stay for every visitor. By the way, this is my 7th booking with them because I feel at home, and there are numerous entertainment options day and night just around the corner. This is in addition to its cleanliness and safety.

Sure this isn’t a 5 star hotel, but it doesn’t pretend to be one. It is a rest spot for someone wanting a clean, safe and affordable room to enjoy the city. The location is perfect, close to the metro. They are very responsive by email and provided everything that I needed. The room was small but adequate. There are a few things that could make it better but you really can’t fault it for what it is. I plan to stay here again.

Excellent value for the price. 5 minute walk to Taksim metro station, 1 minute walk to Istiklal street, in a quiet side street, and the owner and cleaning staff are very friendly. We initially booked for around 7 nights but ended up extending to 11 nights. For the location in a large city, this place is a great deal

The price is great considering the location. Just a few minutes from Taksim square and numerous food options. The rooms themselves are small but are neat and clean. If you are on a budget but don’t want to compromise on location, this is a great place to stay.

Very nice hotel and even better hotel staff. It is litteraly centre of the taxim near everything. 10/10 will use again.

The pictures of rooms are much better than real appearance. Positive: location, personel is friendly. Negative: small rooms, very small bathrooms which should be much cleaner. It will be much better to look for other option.

The hotel is famous with its location and cleanliness! Rooms are cosy and very clean, equipped with everything necessary for comfortable staying!If you prefer to come to Istanbul and to stay all day in the room this place is not convenient for you because you will miss a lot of great things around! This is an excellent place for people who want to explore Istanbul,every important sightseeing is very close! Place is ideal for couples!
