Sirkeci Mansion

We loved our stay at the Sirkeci Mansion Hotel. Our room with a terrace was fabulous, with views out over the Gülhane Park. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The location can't be beat: just a few minutes walk to the Gülhane tram stop, a 10-minute walk to the Hagia Sophia, and just a bit further to the Topkapi, the Blue Mosque, etc. Oh, and the breakfast buffet was varied and delicious.

The location is the best. The hotel is right in the heart of the charming old town, walking distance to all the restaurants, shops, the historical sites and the grand Bazar. I didn’t get any street noise in my room. The staff were so nice and helpful. Although the location and the staff are five star plus, but the hotel itself is not.The room was too small. At times in the lobby there was the smell of swage due to old plumbing. The rooms need major remodeling.

Overall, our week-long stay at the hotel was delightful! The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist us with anything we needed. On one occasion, when it started raining as we were leaving the hotel, a staff member kindly offered us an umbrella without us even having to ask. The hospitality truly exceeded our expectations.

Although the rooms are somewhat smaller compared to those in other countries, the hotel is exceptionally well-maintained, with cleanliness and tasteful decor evident throughout. The location is excellent, with both a tramway and subway station conveniently located nearby. Additionally, it's a short tram ride or walk to the ferry station, and major attractions such as mosques, the Cistern, and the Bazaar are easily accessible on foot. Surrounding the hotel are numerous shops and restaurants, adding to the convenience and enjoyment of our stay.

We encountered no issues during our time there and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast offerings, as well as the relaxing afternoon tea time.

My friend booked us in this hotel and it was a really great surprise. Room was awesome. Just like other hotels, it too was Ottoman Empire period and had that European flare. It was rated in Fodor for good reason. Would return. Breakfast spread was good for the money. We used local transport and it’s right around the corner to grab the tram. Close to everything.

My friend and I stayed here for 2-nights. It was the perfect location to explore the Old Town area of Istanbul, including the Mosques, Spice Market, Shopping areas, Gardens, Cafes, etc. This is located on a quiet street, with no through car traffic.

Our room had a balcony, and it was amazingly quiet. Because I am a platinum member with a certain website, we got an amazing free upgrade, which I was super happy about. It allowed for more space to spread out and better feeling of wellbeing while traveling. There were even some Turkish Delights on the bed!

This hotel felt safe, as there was always a male staff member manning the front desk. Their breakfast spread was 10/10 excellent with so much variety; I could eat there every day! And they even had free afternoon Turkey bagels nibbles and Turkey Tea! The staff were all very kind, and notably the Manager really went out of his way to show kindness and hospitality.

If in that area of Istanbul again, I would definitely stay there. Although there are many places to choose from for a good night's sleep, I feel confident in saying you won't be let down at this place.

Great place to stay at! The location is perfect, walking distance to many attractions and even a park nearby you can go for a walk. Staff is super helpful and gave detail tourist information. Water is replenished every day and we get extra water bottles whenever we asked for it which is super sweet. The breakfast is amazing, with different dishes everyday. There is even afternoon tea (turkish bagel and tea) at 3pm-5pm, you can come back to the hotel and take some rest after sightseeing. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Istanbul.

Its geographical location is very convenient, situated on a very narrow street in the center of the old town, the entrance to the hotel is a very narrow, inconspicuous door that can be easily missed if not careful. It is only a ten-minute walk from the famous Hagia Sophia. The streets here are narrow and bustling, filled with shops and restaurants. The hotel provides excellent service, warm and attentive, offering free room upgrades to guests when available. The rooms upstairs come with a sizable balcony, offering a view of the park opposite. The rooms are clean but somewhat outdated, and there's a significant gap between the doors and the floor, allowing light from the corridor to enter at night, which can affect sleep. In terms of hardware, it would not qualify as a four-star hotel by strict international standards and conventions. However, it offers an experience of old times and Turkish baths.

This hotel is a gem! Bang in the middle of the old district and overlooking Gulhane Park. The tram stop is right at the end of the street. Our room was spacious and spotless, and the cleaner left Turkish Delight each day for us. The staff are charming and welcoming, and catered for my gluten free needs each morning at breakfast. We made use of the Hamman, sauna and swimming pool in the basement, which was great.
When we left all of the staff came out onto the street to wave us off, which was such a lovely touch. I can't recommend the hotel highly enough, so five stars all round.
