It’s hard to pick a location when you are in Istanbul because there are so many different neighborhoods. This location is not very touristy but has a convenient bus line that is a block away that will bring you to the fairies and downtown Kadikoy relatively easily. The commuter train is a 10 minute walk away from the hotel and for 40 lira. It will bring you to the European side and 25 minutes, which is often faster than a taxi however sometimes is not consistent. We enjoy taking the bus or just walking to the port and taking the ferry to the European side

It’s a really cute location because it’s next to a park where there are plenty of cats so I was always cheerful to start our day walking around the cats.

We had a sea side view room. We would recommend staying in the middle or top floors because often times the noise from the lower floors would reach us until around midnight. I think there’s a club inside this hotel that is banging and rocking on the weekends. We stayed on the first floor.

The front desk does speak English, but I felt like they were a little rough, but that might just be a cultural thing. after check-in. I thought the staff were great.

The dining options around the hotel weren’t that bad but also not super amazing .

There are many grocery stores near to the hotel.

So the reason I chose this hotel over other hotels in this area is because I needed to stay under the Asian side and I wanted a good gym. This one probably has the best gym in all of the Asian side hotels. However, I did not like the hours because it was not open early enough and closed too early The weekend hours it closes even earlier, especially on Saturday. It’s also not clearly posted and I never really figured it out but I know that Saturday I tried to go at 9:30 and it was closed. I also think the hotel gym doesn’t open until like seven in the morning.

We picked the hotel mainly because of its location, but honestly, we were super happy with everything. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Our room was spotless, and every little detail was thought out. Huge thanks to Ege, especially, for taking such great care of us! Much appreciated .

I get a beautiful room actually and I really enjoyed it being there with my husband. I felt relaxed and having good time in my last TM-3 of my pregnancy there. It's very closed to Emaar also so it's worth for having a time there. Next time definitely we will return 💕

Our stay at the Wyndham Grand Hotel at Kalamış Marina was exceptional. We were consistently impressed by the exceptional customer service, delectable cuisine, and comfortable accommodations. The front desk staff was exceptionally courteous and provided invaluable assistance throughout our stay.
The hotel’s ambiance and dining experiences were particularly noteworthy. The rooftop bar and restaurant offered a breathtaking sunset view, making it an ideal spot to unwind and savor a memorable meal.
We highly recommend this establishment.

I attended my friend's birthday party on the terrace and did not stay at the hotel, so I am writing this accordingly. Very nice terrace and restaurant. All food and drinks were good, we especially loved rose wine and champagne. I found it too high for the price. Yes, it is a very luxurious place, but I could still go to a nicer place. The music was very very loud. We had a hard time hearing what we were talking about. If you are looking for a beautiful and luxurious celebration venue on the Asian side, it may be preferred, but other than that, I think there are more beautiful places.

I recently stayed here and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way.

One of the highlights was the delicious and plentiful breakfast buffet. There was a wide variety of options to choose from, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The rooftop area was another gem, offering stunning views of the city. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink. As well the Hotel is very convenient and centrally located.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was ensuring a restful night's sleep. The staff was attentive and always willing to assist with any requests.

I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out one day earlier because of change in my schedule. To my delight, the hotel didn't charge me for that night. It was a thoughtful gesture that made my stay even more enjoyable. Thanks a lot.

Overall, I highly recommend the Windham Grand Kalamis Marina Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. It's a fantastic hotel that offers excellent value for money.

Wyndham Grand Istanbul Kalamis Marina Hotel offers a luxurious stay with stylish rooms, diverse dining options, and a rooftop bar boasting stunning views. Guests appreciate its modern amenities, comfortable rooms, and attentive staff. Though some mention higher prices and occasional service inconsistencies, the overall experience, including the beautiful marina setting and well-appointed facilities, makes it a popular choice for those seeking a refined stay in Istanbul.

We booked a “partial sea view room” but we could barely see the water at all unless we got up very close to the window and turned 85 degrees (our view was really just of a neighbouring building). I don’t think this hotel should hold a 5 star rating based on the minimal level of service provided. Most staff were unfriendly and disinterested in doing anything but the bare minimum. I don’t think we had a single door opened for us during our 4 night stay even when struggling with luggage. The food and drinks were very average and overpriced. You’re supplied with just one coffee pod per person per night (housekeeping forgot to restock on one day), and they charge more for any more. The location is poor - the surrounding neighbourhood is mostly unattractive and you really need to get a cab to go anywhere interesting or nice.

We were so excited to stay in this hotel with a nice facility and a FIVE-STAR HOTEL; however, the great hotel facility did not serve us to have a great vacation. Our stay turned out to be an absolute frustration and even life-threatening!!! The hotel has one indoor and two outdoor pools. One day, my wife and I decided to swim in the indoor pool and then use the spa and massage. However, we were asked to leave the indoor pool because there was a class for non-guests who were a swimming class members. I thought we paid to use the facility in regular hours that we were told about during booking and checking in. Actually, this was the smallest frustration we experienced. On the third day, I was taking a shower, and the water cut off. I asked my wife to call the front desk and ask for help and what they said was that " we try to resolve the problem in two to three hours" while I was waiting in the bathtub for water to rinse. After several calls to the front desk and not receiving any solution, and had a plan for the day, I had to rinse with a bottle of drinking water. After an hour, a gentleman showed up and said the basement still had water and I could use the showers in the basement, and this was his solution to the problem. Third, At night we were in the room listening to music when we heard the alarm for emergency evacuation on TV. We ran out quickly and even did not waste time picking up wallets and passports to save our lives. The hallway was all smoke. When we arrived at the lobby, we were guided outside and we saw the bar (or restaurant) exactly above our room was on fire and the fire had almost been extinguished. It was crazy that our room was the closest room to the fire, yet we were the last people who received the alarm. We ran downstairs immediately after hearing the alarm on TV but still, we were the last. We stayed in the street for about an hour until they said the situation was clear and it was safe to go back to the room. Later, we saw the pictures of the fire on local news websites, it was enormous right above our room, and this lack of an effective rescue plan could cost our lives. When we returned to the room, it was all smoke and I felt dizzy because of the smoke, and the AC did not work. When we asked the staff, the only response we got was “We opened the windows and everything will be fine soon” We hoped to be offered another room that was not affected by the fire. The staff had opened the window but it was not sufficient to lower the smoke. So we went outside and sat in a neighboring park until 2 AM and when we returned to the room and slept in a smoky hot room with no AC. For such a luxury hotel with luxury rates, they could, at least offer, some drinks like tea and try to help us get out of such distress and frustration. Instead, they said we had to pay for a tea we drank in the lobby. The next day, which was our check-out day, we ate breakfast in the hotel. The boiled eggs were rotten and stunk. We paid 18 euros per person for such a breakfast. During breakfast, the same guy who came to resolve the water issue came to our table and asked “Is everything all right?” This question seemed ironic and weird after all these events.
I hope that the management of the hotel has a more comforting response than “We regret you had a bad experience”, “we work hard to improve…” or other types of useless and flirty pre-fabricated responses.
