Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach

it's conveniently located. The room smells like public washroom. the reception was not welcoming at all ( I think her name is Yuki).
They constantly ran out of coffee at the lobby. Gym was sad. Won't be coming back for sure.

Check in was pleasant. Restaurant was good. Convenient store inside Hotel well stocked. Cleaning staff very thorough!! Valet below par. Location typical of any other busy city in America. Noisy, traffic, big city down town feel. Homeless people everywhere. Hotel management staff members par. Now here’s the kicker!!!! Dude smoking weed on his balcony for 4 days. Contact high to say the least. Complained to Hotel manager several times to no avail. Will not under any circumstances be back!!!! See ya!!!!

I am a Diamond Member. Always stay in Hilton during my business travels. I use Hilton for my vacations as well. I come to Oahu 1-3 times a year, mostly for business and for some days for pleasure. My plans are to be more often in Hawaii for business. I stayed at this property total 16 nights in the past 12 months and was supposed to stay another 5 nights and again once more by the end of the year which would total around 25 nights in 12 months. I never asked for any special treatment, maybe an upgrade here and there, few floors up or a slightly bigger room if available, but not necessarily since I wasn't spending a lot of time in my room. Like many people have noticed, it's a great location, rooms at or below average with a moldy smell, and not good service. I had a reservation for 5 nights for my business trip, however due to illness, I called to cancel the room the same. They said they had to charge me for the first night and I asked for one time exception due to being a regular and loyal guest. They said no, even when I tried to do something through a Diamond Service Desk. Unfortunately, they lost a loyal customer and I wonder how they treat other guests when they treat their most loyal guests this way. Garden Inn Waikiki, it's not all about profit. I would've given them one star, but to be fair, the location is great. If you are looking for a great location, below average rooms and mediocre service, this is the right place for you.
