Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach Hotel

My husband and I had the deluxe king bed city view room on floor 17 for 10 nights and highly rate it. It's a great, modern, reasonably priced, no frills option. It's in a great location; a short stroll from the main street. The air conditioning is effective. The curtains do well to shut out light when you need them to, and also do well at keeping out the heat. The floor to ceiling windows bring in plenty of natural light. We could still hear a bit of noise in the street sometimes but it wasn't bothersome. The bathroom is generous, including the shower which can easily fit 2 people. The housekeeping service is prompt and efficient. The reception staff are lovely and helpful. The elevators are quick; we never had to wait longer than a minute. The hotel never felt busy; we could easily get in, out and go wherever we wanted to go quickly. We never saw any children during our stay; we deliberately avoided resorts for a quieter stay being our honeymoon, and given it is a quieter, no frills hotel we got the impression it's more suitable and appealing to adults, which suited our stay well. The WiFi was good, and there's plenty to watch on the TV. Plenty of power outlets. We had no problems with any of the appliances or technology. We will recommend Hyatt Centric Waikiki to family and friends. Thank you!

We were recently in Waikiki celebrating my son‘s birthday, We stayed at the Hyatt Centric. The staff was amazing and accommodating they always answered when we called with request. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The overall customer service was great. We will definitely stay at the Hyatt Centric again on our next visit to Oahu. We had a wonderful time and the staff was nice enough to leave my son a birthday basket full of chocolates and welcoming gifts. It was a wonderful experience thank you so much to the staff!!!!…We always enjoy our stay with the Hyatt!!!!!

The hotel is conveniently located close to most Waikiki attractions, making it easy to explore the area. While the pool, like many in Waikiki, isn’t exceptional, it’s likely not the main draw for most visitors. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away, which is very convenient.

We stayed in the deluxe room with 1 king and 1 queen bed, and it was spacious, clean, and modern—overall, a very comfortable stay.

However, there are a few drawbacks. The resort fee feels unjustified. At $37 per night, you essentially pay for beach towels and chairs, but there’s no private beach, included activities, or a pool experience that would typically qualify a property as a resort. This trend of resort fees feels more like a hidden charge.

Also there is no airport shuttle. It would have been great to have such service!

Additionally, the lack tof accessible showers, even at the pool, is inconvenient, especially if you have a late flight… would have been nice as being part of a “resort” 🙃

The location of the hotel is perfect. It’s in a quiet street off the main shopping street. A 5 minute walk to the beach and good shopping. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom counter space was big enough for two adults and two teenagers to share.

Hotel provides towels and beach chairs if you need them which is really convenient.

Hotel has a beautiful pool and hot tub, but it was too windy the whole time we were there to really enjoy it.

The lobby has a cool lounge place with plenty of space to hang out or meet the rest of your party.

Hotel felt safe, you had to pass hotel staff when entering the hotel from the street and you needed to scan your hotel room key to operate the elevators.

Only downside was the parking. The parking structure is SUPER TIGHT. And it costs $40 a night to park in it. If you have to rent a car get a small one. Or Uber to the hotel and rent one of the cars from the kiosks in the shopping centers that gives you free parking around Waikiki.

Clean and spacious room. The staff were friendly when we checked in and clearly explained what the amenities were and how to access them. The location is great: next to the international market with lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and not too far from the beach. Speaking of the beach, the hotel also provides free GoPro rental, sun loungers, towels and umbrellas, which is quite generous.

This hotel is gorgeous! Love the updated and modern feel and look! First time staying at this Hyatt and I will definitely be back! Just a few minutes walk to the ocean. Excellent boutique hotel with beautiful design and cozy rooms. The pool is not deep, but my husband and I had a great time relaxing in the jacuzzi. The excellent location pleased me, the beach, shopping and restaurants are all nearby. We especially appreciated the service; Linda and Alex at the front desk were very friendly and professional. The parking lot was attached to the hotel and was easy to find. There are 2 computers in the lobby for guests, but I just needed access to a full-fledged computer, it’s very convenient. Also, complimentary water bottles in the rooms turned out to be a pleasant bonus for us🙏🏻

First visit to this Hyatt. Very nice. The staff were always happy to see you. Rooms are nice but do not have balconies. Sun deck is adequate but the “Pool” is only 14” deep. I’m sure the kids would love it. The hotel is also pet friendly.

Conveniently located, friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms & modern bathrooms! Great idea to have reusable water bottles for guests to take home too as a souvenir! They have different activities throughout the week so we got to watch poi being made - the best poi I tasted :)
