Reviews
The location of this hotel was also so perfect! We almost split up our stay in an attempt to be more efficient but really with the subway stop so close by it made it a perfect location to come and go from.
Definitely DO NOT go for the breakfast or even coffee. It's pretty much a scam. You'll pay almost $40 for a cold pastry or some cereal
The hotel lobby is very small and old-fashioned, with basically no service.
Three people stayed in a suite with a sofa bed in the living room. The living room and bedroom are connected by a corridor. There is a small dining table for four people and a long corridor bar, two small niche wardrobes, and two toilets are the best.
The bedroom is small and the layout is very regular. The living room door is directly opposite the sofa bed without transition. There are noisy sounds outside the door and outside the house at night.
The hotel is not very comfortable and elegant, but with a limited budget, it is a good choice for tourists who love the convenient central location and need a more spacious space! After all, it is in the capital of the world.
Location: Opposite the Carnegie Theater, very close. Two blocks away from Columbus Circle, very safe. Such a high-priced place actually has a hotel as big as a one-bedroom and one-living room, 46 square meters really feels full of space.
Configuration: The sofa bed is not an ordinary one, it is very large and sturdy after opening, much larger than the single bed in most hotels. Coffee machine, coffee capsules, cutlery dishwasher, microwave. Dining table, each room has a TV, and there are many channels. The one-bedroom has two bathrooms, one shower and one bathtub. Except for the toiletries that really can't be squeezed out, the rest are very good. Free wifi, gym and ice making upstairs. There is no free bottled water in the room.
Hygiene: The overall lobby and room are good, and they are cleaned very well. 😡But the worst housekeeping must hang a sign, I encountered it twice:
The first time, the waitress knocked on the door and said housekeeping, but she didn't listen at all and didn't wait for a second. I didn't have time to say wait a minute. At that time, I didn't wear all my clothes. Fortunately, the room was big and I was inside.
The second time, I was in the bathroom near the door, and a male waiter didn't knock on the door and just swiped the card and pushed the door in, with a huge bang. Fortunately, the bolt was stuck. I was very angry and opened the door to argue with him. He still said housekeeping with a nonchalant look, but he had just done cleaning in the morning, and he changed his words and said he was just checking. Later, I was very angry and said that you should at least knock on the door, and he reluctantly said sorry and left. After closing the door, I still heard him telling others that I yelled at him. In this case, you can call the police in the United States.
Every time the housekeeping gave extra tips, and specially wrote a message to remind them that there was a time difference, and they had to deal with emails at night and sleep during the day, but they still didn't get any respect and personal space, and didn't respect the privacy of guests at all.
Finally, the front desk was really good, patiently helped solve problems, and prepared everything in advance, which made me very grateful. It can be seen that the grade and level of the housekeeping department is far behind that of the front desk and bellman.
