Hotel Republic San Diego, Autograph Collection

I enjoyed everything about my stay here last week. The location was convenient both to downtown, the airport, and N. San Diego. The room was very cool. And, the valet parking was very convenient (special shout-out to Alejandro who retrieved my vehicle in record time!!).

Awesome experience - check in was great and they accommodated a special room request for elderly member of our traveling party to ensure she could safely use the bathroom facilities. Great lobby bar area. Attentive staff and great location to explore the city.

Great walk-in showers, lots of pressure and heat. Good iron with steam. A couple worn down furniture items but otherwise pretty good. Quiet nights and fairly comfortable bed.
Lobby/breakfast area furniture seats and cushions were gross enough though that I didn't want to sit down in business clothes.

I truly cannot say enough about this spot.

I pulled up after a 4 hour drive to the hotel. The friendly Valet helped me navigate the situation and I walked inside to check in. Within 2 minutes, I had my room keys, breakfast vouchers, and was told that I also get $25/day to use at restaurants on the property.

I got up to my room and was very happy with what I saw. I get why this id part of the Autograph Collection of Marriott. Finishes in this room are top notch, pendant lights next to each side of the comfy king sized bed, unique shower and bathroom, and it is very quiet.

I hammered out some emails and enjoyed my room for a couple of hours and then used the QR code on the valet ticket to retrieve my car. It was about a 5 min wait.

When I returned, I went to the bar where the super friendly bartender chatted us all up and gave me some good dinner recommendations for while I’m here.

The staff here really care a lot and you can tell. It’s nice to find that. I will absolutely stay here again and so should you!

This hotel is close to Little Italy, the trolley stop, a small walk to the waterfront, and across the street is the Donut Bar. The hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast looked great and the topside bar had great cocktails. It is just not up to the refined uniqueness offered by many of the Autograph Collection of hotels. Don’t get me wrong, it is a nice hotel. But, if you are budgeting, you may want to save some money and go to one of the other Marriott properties in the area.

Thank you for a wonderful vacation! Your rooms were clean, check-in was hassle-free and the service was great! Great location to stay if you don't want to drive or just walk. There is amazing food and some attractions close to the hotel. There is a bar in the lobby. There are scooters available to explore the city center and the pier is a short walk away. This hotel made my trip much more memorable. The only thing I didn't expect was the $50 per night deposit, but I received my deposit quickly and without issue.

A huge hello to the team. We were in town to celebrate our 1 year old's birthday, spending time at the zoo, the sea and the beach. I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her, but the front desk person kindly gave us an upgrade to a corner suite for 3 nights and wow, that room was good! They set us up with the pack and played around, so we were fine when we arrived late Thursday night. We really liked the atmosphere of the hotel. Street parking was also available right outside the entrance, and since we were out most of the day, parking was almost free! Overall, I will definitely return to this hotel. The staff was great!

There hotel is opened by Marriott but operates like a really nice boutique hotel. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. One downside is parking. $48 a night. Other than that, the location is perfect for going on during the day or at night. I definitely recommend staying here. The concierge is also very helpful.

Really liked the hotel. It was very nice and clean and felt brand new. The showers had the overhead do it was like rain which you don't find in many hotels and it's awesome. The location is great and San Diego has bicycles everywhere you can use on the street for next to nothing. I would stay here again for sure.
