Reviews
My husband and I booked a stay at your hotel to celebrate a very special occasion—our marriage contract signing. Unfortunately, what should have been a joyful experience was nearly ruined due to poor management and the unprofessional behavior of your staff, particularly an employee named June.
The service was disorganized, unhelpful, and outright rude. Your staff’s attitude and lack of professionalism are completely unacceptable, and it left us feeling unwelcome. The hotel itself was also in an appalling condition. The room was dirty, with hair and debris scattered on the floor, which was extremely off-putting. Only two garbage bins were provided—one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen—which was insufficient for maintaining cleanliness.
This level of service and cleanliness is far below what we expected, and we will not be returning to your hotel. We will also be sharing our negative experience with friends who previously frequented your establishment, as well as posting this review on other platforms to ensure people are aware of the issues.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements to avoid future guests experiencing similar issues.
Since we were not staying overnight, we checked in at 6 pm, and had informed them that some Friends would come briefly to decorate, and the next morning, a makeup artist and photographer would come for a short time. They assured us this would be no problem, as the room was only to be used for the marriage contract and a photoshoot from 9 am to 12 noon.
However, when these people arrived, they were not allowed to enter, even though we had communicated all of this beforehand and limited the number of guests. The staff member named June was rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional, dismissing our concerns and telling us to wait for the supervisor. When the supervisor finally arrived, he confirmed that there had been no communication between the reception staff from different shifts. How is it our fault that the staff and management are so disorganized and unprofessional? This hotel nearly ruined our special day, and we will never return.
If you didn't allow many visitors, why did you accept our reservation in the first place? Clearly, you have no idea what actually happened. No sane guest would make a booking knowing such restrictions were in place. As the General Manager, shouldn’t you have investigated before making baseless comments?
How can you say we didn’t inform your staff? Did you even bother to investigate, check the CCTV, or speak to your own team? My husband personally came in, explained everything to the receptionist, and she agreed to the terms. We checked in at 6:30pm with three guests who left by 11 PM, and two makeup artists came early the next morning, leaving by 9 AM. How is that “too many guests”? They weren’t staying in the room for 24 hours!
It’s clear the real issue here is your lack of internal communication. Your supervisor even admitted that the next shift wasn’t informed. And somehow, that’s now our fault? Shouldn’t your management be organized and professional? Instead of jumping to conclusions, perhaps you should spend more time training your staff. You didn’t even bother to hear our side—if you cared to investigate, you would’ve found our long-standing record with your hotel since 2019. But after this, we definitely won’t be coming back.
Next time, try getting your facts straight before making such one-sided and unprofessional comments.
Location is good. Easy walking distance to World Trade Center mall. The bed was comfortable. The problems with the hot water heater, mirror and washing machine were fixed the same day I submitted the complaint to the front desk. Just that the myriad of problems with the room ruined my stay. It was very uncomfortable for me, as a Westerner.
On the positive side, the front office manager politely listened to my frustrated complaints and offered to make it up to me the next time I was in town. Unfortunately I am not willing to endure another stay in such a place. There are better apart-hotels available.
I’d also suggest a change in the name. Having the name Boutique Suites indicates that the establishment provides luxury, comfort, classy interiors and a cozy homelike atmosphere. That the suites have an individual styles and atmosphere with a personalized approach to every guest. This is CLEARLY not true at the Eclipse.
