Comfy bed and pillows. The rooms need serious updating. There was a hole in the carpet near the bathroom and the room looked like it had been last updated 10 years ago. Rooms tiny but location is premium. Building is gorgeous. However it is not 4 star. Probably 3.5. I acknowledge running a hotel using staff that get paid mimum wages would be exceptionally challenging. I think cleanliness is is paramount and it seems that is the biggest criticism. This appears to be an old hotel that has had the the rooms renovated so the noise travels between rooms quite easily. The carpets have not been renewed. The bed was super comfortable. Affordable, comfy and clean rooms however on a hot Saturday evening the air conditioning would not go below 24 degrees. We were moved to arguably a better laid out room after coming back from night out with apologies from the front desk after contacting them twice about the issue. We liked this place for its location, close to the show and sport venues. The room was a good size, very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were super helpful and very polite.

It's rare in Australia that the room is cleaned once a day, but the window in the room can't be opened, so it's a bit stuffy if you stay there all day.

The location is good, there is a Coles nearby, walk around 15 minutes to there. The receptionist at front desk is inadequate, which we had to wait for 5 to 15 minutes for check-in or request for extra supplies. And the room soundproofing is poor.

This hotel is literally used to be a wool store back in 1888, hence the name. I love the rustic industrial feeling since I entered the lobby. The room is small but cozy. Located in the prime location in Sydney, easy to move around with public transport, but hotel’s amenities are very basic. Hotel’s lift is under upgrade work and not available to use, construction also going on, very annoying if you stay in hotel on working hour.

The room was decent, and the location, not far from Chinatown, made it easy to find food nearby. However, the shower temperature was inconsistent, constantly fluctuating between hot and cold, even during off-peak hours. Was going to give a unsatisfactory review but the overnight staff evicted a noisy guest in my room. Couldn't be more grateful. The front desk is manned 24 hours so help is always around. Had a pleasant two day stay at this hotel last August, stayed on my own. The room is clean, the hotel staff are very friendly and the location is good. The only thing is that room (and shower) are very small and there are no amenities like gym, but for the price I paid I am very satisfied. Will return again. Location was amazing, and you can park there too. Valet parking, just pull up at the side of the building and let the reception know. The pool on the roof has impressive views of both the bridge and the opera house. Our bathroom could have done with a lick of paint but the room was clean and well kept.

The hotel's location is its biggest advantage. Circular Quay is right outside the first floor, and Royal Gardens is across the street from the third floor, making it very convenient. The rooms seem like apartments, as when booking, each one seemed to have a kitchen, but we didn't need one. Traveling with friends, we booked two rooms. The hotel is relatively clean. You can take the subway from the airport to the hotel and transfer to another one. The hotel is about 700 meters away from the station. The hotel is convenient to Sydney Opera House and Chinatown. It is a good choice.

Must go...The room is so expensive for the quality and facilities. The room costs over €500.00 one evening without breakfast and other services. Fridge was broken, water leaked under the cupboard and shower was so weak that husband couldn't feel comfortable. I will never stay there again!

This is our second time here and we just love the place. Its central to many things that are in walking distance the place is quiet and also is located in a quiet street.
