Park Hyatt Sydney, Sydney1 / 29

Sydney, 7 Hickson Road 🧭 Map
Walking distance to Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. James who helped us with checking in and out as well as introducing the room was amazing. The semi buffet breakfast was impressive, we tried most of the small dishes and one of each from large plates. There are heaps of gluten free and or healthy options to choose from. An unforgettable stay at this place. Definitely worth a return visit...
We had a fabulous honeymoon stay at Park Hyatt Sydney. Accommodations, service, views, and dining were top-notch and stellar. Appreciated the kind personal touches and stunning visual aesthetic. Definitely the most iconic view in all of Australia!
Park Hyatt is truly at the upper end of accommodation, service delivery & food quality and presentation. Upon looking at the menu I was truly surprised at the pricing. Yes it was above the cost of upper end restaurants but their offerings were spectacular! The eye fillet was beautifully prepared, medium rare, ('without asking) . Yes it's a 'tap on the hip pocket but hey, it's a meal & it's a stay that...
Absolutely amazing . The staff were so helpful with a walk in booking last minute , the room was amazing with views of the Opera house a complimentary bottle of wine for our 25th wedding anniversary. The rooms were well kept with all amenities topped up . Great breakfast with a view. On departure the concierge organised a private limo transfer to the airport. Would definitely recommend this hotel...
I cant recommend this hotel enough, its views of the opera are breathtaking that words cant describe them. Their complimentary breakfast is to die for. The service staff are just pure amazing, especially their front desk and concierge. The concierge team gave us great recommendations to explore in the city and even booked some tickets for us. The honeymoon gift was a superb touch. I will definitely...
The location is top-notch, the toiletries are also top-notch, Dyson hair dryer, smart toilet, stroll around the harbor at night, walk around the Opera House and Sydney Botanic Gardens. The scenery is so beautiful that it doesn't seem real, it's like a fairy tale. Lying in bed and watching the Opera House at sunrise or sunset, what can I complain about this kind of life?

Parking was paid for. However, gate would not open. Not good enough.
Loved the suite! So spacious and luxurious.
The hotel is conveniently located across the road from Victoria Cross Metro Station. Giving easy access to the metro and also the train station. The room was pretty good. Very spacious and clean. Staff was also very helpful. Their checkin time was 3pm but I was able to check in at 1:30pm which was good.
Vibe is well located in North Sydney. It is near to the Metro making moving around the city easy. The traffic in this area is moderate. Nice to walk around this area.
Exceptionally clean and modern hotel. After a flight from London this was PERFECT! My room was quite spacious, Quiet, dark, friendly staff, convenient location, just an overall great hotel, highly recommended! It’s a shame I asked for a review after I’ve checked out or I’d have taken more pictures…
Good location. Reception staff helpful when TV not working, managed to replace without changing room. Systems seem to be down at reception, so perhaps hotel owners can invest in IT infrastructure to prevent staff filling out manual check-in registration forms

In principle it is okey to have a sofa bed, but it will be better if vide hotel can provide extra bed.
Subpar room cleanliness with really weak water pressure for showering.
Excellent location, walking distance to most of the places. The hotel is a bit old but overall very pleasure to stay! Friendly staffs and it is great to have capsule machine rather than instant coffee in the room!
Very good location and convenient! Love the place. Good for city walk.
Stayed at the Vibe Hotel North Sydney during a recent business trip, and it delivered a straightforward, no-frills experience. The location is a definite highlight—proximity to public transport and the CBD made commuting effortless, ideal for work commitments. My room was basic but functional: clean, with a comfortable bed and a compact work desk that suited my needs. Don’t expect luxury or stylish...
Lovely location in North Sydney. Right beside the train station. Also love the walk to Luna Park Sydney via the small stairway beside the hotel.

The overall building is fantastic and the courtyard looks like its straight out of Harry Potter. The rooms are fairly basic which was expected for the price but the beds are comfy. The only reason I gave 4 stars is due to the shared toilets and showers.
The best hotel you can get for the amount you pay. Welcome to Sydney. Cheap, convenient and the best location. SydneySpace
A lovely place for an overnight stay. Has a welcoming feel and lovely staff. Only improvement could be aircon but it's not a necessity as we got on perfectly

Nice and friendly staff. My flight was delayed by 3 hours but I had no issues checking in. I had complimentary shuttle included in my stay which I was not aware of so I had paid for it. The staff refunded the amount upon my check in. I stayed for only 1 night but I will recommend it if you need a place to stay near the airport.
Reception staff both night and morning friendly and very professional. Room was clean and maintained. Bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast was okay, scrabble eggs a little dry but everything else was good. Thank you
every service here has an additional cost. You take the shuttle to/from airport - you'd think it's free for this stature of a hotel, but it's not ! AU$13 each way ! Room service ? add AU$5 each time. And they don't mention it upfront. It's the "least expensive" among the ones close to the airport - but definitely not a value for money. Good things: staff is super nice and friendly. Rooms are standard...
While the hotel is a little old and obviously suffered a bit from the torrential rain here lately, the staff make up for any shortcomings. When I rang to find out which transport to use to get there from the airport (and that's never easy to figure at Syd) the person at reception gave simple accurate instructions. I had dinner here and the food was delicious and good portioned at a good price, and...
I was very pleased with this hotel. The front desk and other staff were all very friendly. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, looked so inviting. Shuttle service to and from the airport is available. Restaurant on site. Very near airport. I definitely got my money's worth and would highly recommend this hotel.
The staff here are extremely helpful and efficient. They noticed that we had quite a bit of luggage, so they upgraded our room to the ground floor free of charge (no elevator). The room was a nice size and very clean. There's also free wifi. The hotel is close to the airport, with hotel shuttle bookings available during your check-in for $7 per person that covers two suitcases and a carry-on for each...

Love the location, super close to where we needed to be, staff were amazing and helpful.
Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was good also and entire hotel was clean. Unfortunately the rooms are bare and facilities generally don’t exist as the main selling point is it sits next to Accor Stadium.
great location for any event at Olympic Park and great buffet Breakfast
One of the best stays I have experience in Australia! Deserving of 5+ stars!!! The staff went the extra mile to make me feel welcome and the kindness of strangers was evident time and time again. Returning from the CBD by ferry was a great way to experience the many faces of Sydney.
This was a fantastic stay. The room was huge, my bed was super comfortable and I read a review saying the shower head was weak but ,...not in my room. Phillipa who checked me in, was amazing. All the staff were kind and polite. So I'd definitely recommend staying here. Only downfall were the amount of children, but it was gull for cheerleader competition!!!
Absolutely fantastic service on a night with bad luck. Small complications with the door lock and they were super helpful, complimentary drinks, great communication and quick fix. Lost our keys at the end after check out and they helped search, stripped the room, gave suggestions, we ended up finding them. Really felt like they cared and were invested in our stay. The room and service are very satisfactory. The concierge is attentive and considerate. I suggest opening a direct access to the gym to facilitate hotel guests. After all, it is too cold to walk through the outdoor passage in winter.
The hotel's location near the bay offers a tranquil setting and beautiful views. The breakfast room was pleasant, though the selection wasn't extensive. The room was clean and comfortable, but the metal tray on the bathroom wall had a sharp corner, making it dangerous. The concierge was helpful, but the front desk service could be improved.
On the plus side: we upgraded ourselves to a village suite and the size was spacious. Breakfast was fabulous and something to look forward to, although 7am start is a bit late for us.. Most of the staff were lovely and well trained. Room was cosy and quiet at night. Fresh towels and clean bathroom. Easy and convenient location outside of CBD. This is the only big hotel in the area and there are some...
Although the rooftop swimming pool is not big, the view is great. There are buildings under construction around, so the environment is a bit noisy, but the working hours on Australian construction sites are short, so most of the time it does not affect the stay experience. Upgraded to a terrace room, the room is spacious and the hygiene is very good, in line with InterContinental's consistent standards...
The room is spacious, and there are many restaurants and shopping nearby, as well as the beach. I prefer Double Bay to the city center, especially for people who like me, it is more friendly.
The hotel is conveniently located, close to the beach and a popular coffee shop. The service is good and the food is good. Except for the two rooms where the automatic curtains could not be opened and took a long time to repair (probably because the hotel is not new after all, but it can be seen that the maintenance is quite good), and Ctrip booked the wrong room type, the rest is generally OK. The location is unbeatable – just a short walk to Darling Harbour, Town Hall Station, and plenty of cafes, shops, and restaurants. Perfect for both work and sightseeing. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a kitchenette, which was great for a longer stay. Only minor downside was that the room felt a bit dated in parts, but everything was functional and tidy.
Great location with superior services
Hotel is a bit dated and the washing machine from our room was missing and the dryer wasn’t working. However the location is amazing!
Centrally located in town centre, walkable distance to Darling Harbour. The apartment spacious and clean. If you have a car you can get a special rate for 24 hours parking at Wilson parking next door.
Everything inside the room is up to standard. Neat and tidy. However, the mattresses in the one bedroom and the sofa bed are very loose and not bouncy. They are not supportive on your back when sleeping. Other than that, we are satisfied on most of the amenities and services.
Best location Easy access to anywhere Good breakfast, have all you need! Have 2 fridges in my room wonder why ..

Started off pretty good, with an early check-in. Then, after going out for the evening, we returned to a roll out bed in the room (not ordered or required), which they came to remove at around 11:30. Had to call reception for towels as there were no towels in the room. Luckily, we had realised that before showering, it took at least 30 minutes and 2 phone calls to get towels delivered.
Up to the big smoke for work. This is a great place . Easy transport options or if you need to drive close to all major routes. Friendly staff, nice quite room good food selection in the restaurant. Thanks
Couldn't ask for a better location. So close to everything. Hotel room was clean. A little disappointed with the pressure in the shower, you had to run around to get wet lolol. Also shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all empty and not refilled. The restaurant wasn't open for lunch or dinner. Beds were extra comfortable and pillows amazing 🙂
Stayed here over the weekend, room was pretty comfortable. Buffet breakfast was ok looked like staff were over run trying to do everything. Should have more staff on like the lovely girl I was greeted by. She always ensured we had everything we needed & made really good coffee! By memory it’s Nakita, such a lovely lady
Stayed there for two nights. An over all good experience. The room was clean and location is a plus as it's just a 2 minute walk to McDonalds and KFC and a few other restaurants. Also Woolies is also across the road. They can do a better job with the breakfast. Overall a good experience.
Family friendly hotel with friendly staff. The hotel has lots of amenities to keep you busy without leaving the building. Includes tennis court, swimming pool, gym, conference room, in-house movies.

Quirky hotel with a theatrical feel. Love the lift music & porters dressed up. Creating a really unique ambience which we loved. Only complaint is the rooms are so dimly lit it was difficult to do makeup! It would be great if the bathroom had the option of being brighter.

She's getting old and it shows. Very dated rooms showing the wear and tear of the years. Comfortable clean beds. Bathroom was quite large and spacious, very clean. Breakfast was included and it was a feast for the hungry, highly recommend. As I said, it looks quite grand but her age and dated feel let her down a bit.
We stayed here on our last nights in Sydney. The room was spacious and comfortable, with double sinks and a separate shower and bath. The hotel closes forever at the end of this month (september 2025) and that is a shame. I believe the current plan is to demolish the hotel and build luxury (read expensive) apartments. What a grand Hotel, and decorated beautifully. We've had a lovely stay, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. Great service & excellent location for the train, ferries, restaurants, botanical gardens, opera house & art gallery. Property has an “olde world” interior design but it’s now looking quite tired and could do with an update. Beds still comfortable & room amenities work as expected. Gym needs an update with two of the three cardio machines not operational as expected.
We recently stayed at the Sir Stamford Hotel at Circular Quay and absolutely loved it. The hotel's bedding and pool facilities are excellent. The air conditioning in the room is not very powerful in winter and is a bit cold. As a historical building, the overall atmosphere is very unique, but the real estate project to be built in front may block the harbor view in the future. In addition, there are not many breakfast options, which is much inferior to other Langham hotels.
The hotel environment is OK. The Langham's usual old money style. The room design is more French. The space is relatively large in Sydney. However, the location of the Langham Sydney is average. Although the nearest subway station is not far away in a straight line, you have to walk down the stairs, which is not very convenient. There are no convenience stores on Kent Street at night, and it is also...
It is located in a relatively quiet street. It is a 10-minute walk to the commercial area and not far from the Sydney Opera House. The breakfast is simple and purely Western. Opposite is the Sydney Observatory. It is very pleasant to sit on the hillside for a while at night.
Typical British old money style, great location, taxi fare to several landmarks is less than 20 Australian dollars. I like the decoration style of Langting, large rooms, good service, good breakfast, which is really cheap compared to Europe and Japan.
Beautiful hotel to visit in the city and staffs are very kind and nice. Very short distance to Barangaroo reserve, perfect place to stroll after dinner.

A short train journey away from Universal, super easy to get there, with excellent help from reception. Very cool room with a great rock feature in the window! Struggled to use the TV and Chinese Alexa (?) but didn’t try too hard as I was only there for one night. Still 5 stars.
This is my second stay. The last time was before the pandemic. I feel that the hotel has not changed much overall, but there are some minor adjustments. There is a pungent smell of spray paint in the corridor near the room. After I told the front desk, I immediately changed the room and gave a bottle of red wine. The only thing I think is that the hotel parking is expensive.
The hotel is unique and was renovated from a pier. The location is quite convenient.
