Reviews
All rooms have air conditioning and minifridge. The pool is clean and decently sized, but closes at 5 pm (seems to be the norm in that area). Plenty of shade in the garden.
The bad:
Cleanliness was not their strong point, they seem to focus more on adding chemicals to the pool everyday (that is normal) than cleaning the spiderwebs and glasses from your room before your stay. This specific room had a nasty stain on the wall and the AC looked absolutely disgusting.
The wifi is absolutely useless (no signal at all) unless you are at the reception hall or some areas of the garden.
All bathrooms have issues with ventilation, they have a persistent unpleasant smell and quite a bit of mold.
The coffee at the bar is disappointing, it's really small and served in a foam container. They tax the same amount for milk in coffe as for the coffe itself. A vending machine would do a better job, and probably cheaper.
Parking was a nightmare, they confirmed a few days prior to arrival that they reserved parking spots. I don't mind the fact that parking is a bit of a walk away from the hotel, but that we had to have a back and forth with their parking contractors for more than an hour to actually let us park there. Instead of just directly contacting them they just told us to insist to park there, so after being refused 5 times (5 tripts to the hotel and back to the parking lot) they finally called them and it was fine, but why did I have to go through the hassle of finding a parking spot and insisting to be let in the parking lot when I was assured there will be one?
Positive:
* the proximity to the beach (5 minutes walk)
* the food selection for lunch and dinner is okay, you'll get to taste a lot of typical bulgarian dishes
* some of the people working there are friendly
* there is a pool (also a small one for kids, 50cm deep)
Negative: basically everything except the above. * Food: For breakfast and afternoon snack you get the same things offered every day. The quality of the items is the lowest possible standard. For example the "honey" is actually a glucose syrup with coloring additives, the "butter" is palm oil and so on. The eggs are convenience food type.
* Location: of course not really central, you'd be lucky to get a parking spot, rather prepare some extra cash for the paid ones
* Noise: if your room is facing the entrance, you'll be able to hear the music coming from the other party hotels until about 11pm
* Hygiene: terrible, especially given that covid-19 is still ruling the world. The bulgarian principle of "they do not pay me, I am anyways not working" applies well to the hired room maids. Do not bother of wearing a mask, desinfecting your hands before going to the buffet (no dispensers) and so on. There is also a good chance that if you survive those hygienic conditions, you will be covid-19 immune
* Rooms: well, terrible. Dirty, old furniture and appliances, you can freely jump between the balconies
Overall: book this place only if you have nowhere else to go or if you want to be part of an "exclusive" group as I am assuming that it won't stay open for many more seasons
