DIT Majestic Beach Resort - Ultra All Inclusive

Overall, we had a great stay here. However, the lack of entertainment & poor drinks selection would probably put us off coming back.

The Good
SERVICE 5/5 - the hotel has (mostly) chosen a really great team. Always very friendly & efficient.
LOCATION 5/5 - the hotel is on the beach
FOOD 4/5 - lots of choice, tasty, a little repetitive
ROOMS 3/5 - A little dated, more 3-star quality, but acceptable.
POOL AREA - 4/5 - it's enormous, you'll always get a sun lounger. The pool was chilly though!

The (Not so) Good
DRINKS 2/5 - both beers were dreadful, the wines were undrinkable. No Bottled drinks, except beer in the Asian restaurant. Cocktails were too sweet. After 2 days out of a 15 day stay, we drank in bars along the beach or went to the Carrafour supermarket in front of the hotel and drank on our balcony.
Entertainment- 0/5 - The biggest disappointment was absolutely NO ENTERTAINMENT at any time of the day or night. This was a huge let down. They have a "Night Club" on level 1 but was never open. Some beach bars had evening entertainment, but also allow customers smoke inside, which is very off-putting.
NOISY
The hotel has installed patio doors on their balconies. Unfortunately the woman above us would slam her door early morning to very late in the night as she was constantly smoking on her balcony. We had to make 2 complaints to reception being woken up at 3am & 4am.

If they had more drinks choices (draft & bottled beers, cider, ale or stout) & evening entertainment, I'd consider booking again for next year.

Brilliant stay. Very clean. Food pretty good. Staff very attentive. Lots of loungers by the pool and on the beach. Excellent snack bar. Well worth the stay, definitely recommend.

This is a great hotel with a chilled out vibe.
No rushing for sunbeds, or queues for the buffet.
The food was nice and for the youngsters, they have a pizza oven, which is on all day.
The staff are nice, and a special shout out to the animation team for always putting on a great show.
The gym needs a good upgrade as some machines were broken, and were broken throughout our stay.

A very nice hotel, beautifully seated near the beach, with an outdoor pool, private parking and mutiple facilities.

When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the hotel staff, they took our luggage, and the blonde tall man at the reception desk was very nice and welcoming. He provided all the needed information with a smile and was a very nice interraction.

We arrived and checked in at 11:30 am but got our room after 14 pm. We went to lunch right after our arrival. The restaurant is quite basic but the food is varied and very, very tasty. Not once have I felt that they missed something. They had every kind of food for everyone, and tasty dishes as well.

The outside pool is large, there are two separate large pools and you are always entertained by the animation team which is a plus. I did Aqua gym, morning yoga, my husband played water polo and darts, very nice games and fun times to do around the pool side. What I did not like about the pool side was that there was a huge sign “DO NOT DIVE” and still both children and adults were diving in splashing everyone all the time without having someone to tell them to stop. So the forbidden sign to dive in is there for nothing..you will get splashed even when you are minding your own business doing Aqua gym. Not to even mention that there is a big decorative rock in the middle of the pool who can get someone hurt.

Coming back to the restaurant, the meals were great, the food was tasty and the drinks were also varied and tasty. But one thing I did not like about the restaurant was, besides the fact that it basically was a cantine, not a fancy restaurant, they demanded certain outfits for dinner. They would turn men around to go change if they had short trousers, flip flops or even cropped t-shirts. I understand to not allow flip flops at dinner, but some of the staff was exaggerating and turning around people who were actually decent with their outfits. They would scan us up and down and turn us around in our rooms to change. This left a bad taste in my mouth. People pay to be comfortable in their vacation and since the restaurant where we had our dinner in did not change from the one we had our lunch in (and we had lunch in our bathing suits because the cantine was near the pool), then do not ask me to change for dinner since it’s the same lame-looking cantine. There was no gala set up for me to feel like changing for a fancy dinner. And also, there was no signs up about this rule. So it was unpleasant for me who stayed at 12th floor to go change because my shorts were too short for dinner. Just saying..

Beaides this everything else was great. The room was clean and nice, clean towels, big bed, plenty of pillows, the hotel was quiet at night so you could really rest, overall a very pleasant and nice vacation. I would not return there because I don’t usually stay at the same hotel twice, but I would definitely recommend it to close ones.

This hotel is elegant and situated on the first line, the beach is in front of the hotel. Everybody from the staff is really kind, helpful, never too busy. Room is ok, but we prefer shower, not bathtub, which was clogged, otherwise it is ok. AC is central, but working super, always really cool in the room and in the hotel. Parking is free, you can grab a free place anytime.
Meals are ok, you can always choose between many hot dishes. Cocktails and frappes are so good at the bars, where the bartenders are so nice. Martin is the best bartender.
Pools are really big and warm, this was such a positive side. Sunbeds are hard to find on the beach. View from the balcony is great. Elevators are really fast.

Probably one of, if not the best hotel in Sunny Beach.
When we booked, they said it had a beach bar that's not been open for a while, apparently, and has been removed from the website. They have becks beer on tap and the food is very good but can be a little cold. All in all, I've had a good time and would recommend this hotel just for the pool and bar area alone and would happily return. 4 stars because of the beach bar not being there.

So honest review.....

We arrived to about 10 people in the hotel, it was like a ghost town which for me was fine.

Food - could not fault the food, great selection enough for the most fussiest pallet to the more sophisticated one.

The resort was very clean and tidy

Pool was COLD and wasn't for the faint hearted but once you're in you got acclimatised quickly.

Air Con was not switched on for the whole hotel we were there 17th - 24th May

As the week went on hotel got much busier and with busy bars and shops close enough to easily walk to but far enough away to keep it nice and quiet.

All in all would definitely recommend temperature got to 29 on the final day but was cloudy on some.

Great views, tasty food, good location.

Mostly friendly staff, I get the feeling some of the receptionists turn their nose at you for asking general questions. Don't really understand that. Weird.

Cleaners friendly, helpful when we needed something.

Food very tasty, good selection. Sometimes short of butter, bread was not the softest would have preferred another selection.

Fresh juice was the worst, definitely a disappointment to what you would expect fresh juice to be. Pretty much just weak juice, watered down.

Pools good sizes, plenty of sun loungers available. Entertainment team friendly.

Pool bar is nice, good music atmosphere to enjoy.
