GINN City & Lounge Yorck Berlin in Berlin

Fantastic stay for 2 weeks at the GINN. The workers were so hospitable, I was asking for forks, knives, plates, etc (ordered a LOT of Uber Eats) and they never said no!! The room was nice and clean and the daily service was extensive (not just make your bed but actually cleaned the room). Great stay, all the workers were very nice.

This place was absolutely great:there was no telephone cluttering the table, the location and accessibility is top, room size/deko very nice, bed pillows were not hollow shells, mattress comfy, everyone was very friendly, great cocktails, free filter coffee/tea service and an almost perfect breakfast. The pancake machine is a joke and often was not consistent, so it was hard to enjoy warm "very mini" pancakes at the same time. Unfortunately there was never bacon, even though I asked all 3 days I was there.

A few other things kept it from being perfect: the employees talk amongst themselves about everything/anything. Guests should not have to hear most of it, especially when it's about other guests, personal issues, internal topics. Many of the cleaning staff didn't understand English or German very well. Eager to please but mininimal language skills. But they were also very friendly. Lastly, though I think it's amazing that there is only a 3 hour window of the overall stay. I actually hate it that hotels sometimes don't allow check-in till 3p but check out is 11am. 4 hours I am not able to enjoy the room but here it was 3pm Check-in and a ***12pm*** checkout. Fantastic!!

But, what I found not cool was, even if your room was already clean when you arrived before 3pm, you had to pay an extra charge to check-in early. The charge is based on how many hours before 3pm that you wanted to check-in. That took away from the overall opinion I had of the experience, because it seems greedy. I also don't understand why that's necessary.

Overall definitely recommended but a bit of a bad taste in my mind based on "some" conversations of the employees, bacon-gate and the early check-in scandal!

I was pleased with this hotel. Housekeeping did an outstanding job cleaning my room. The hotel was a good value and convenient to public transportation. There is also a nice grocery store in the same building and restaurants that are very convenient.

Lovely and clean hotel with accommodating staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Couple nights in Berlin
Great clean new odourless hotel with good access around the town. Park, pubs and stores nearby

Stayed there regularly very funky place. Good service, quirky rooms.
Try get a room that's not in front of the lift as that can be noisy when loud parties say bye before heading to their rooms

Property and staff were extremely kind and helpful in every way. I had some issues in my room with my mattress and ALOT of dust from my bed but outside of that it was wonderful.
