Room was clean and good. But the man on the reception should talk better with the guests, he has rude attitude. They charge 10€ per day for parking, and there is no alternative. It's not so close to the central, but if you have a car it wont be a problem.

Two stars. I had a 4 night stay here. Two stars because they upgraded my room for a bigger one for free because of my longer stay. Second one because the staff was mostly friendly.
Negative: The beds are really hard and uncomfortable, my room was right next Tina construction site, so it wasn’t possible to sleep longer than 7am, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere. My heaters weren’t working properly the first time so I had to call a staff to do maintenance on my heater, after that it worked though! The tv is very old with half of the senders being in SD (which is about to be cancelled getting streamed, so half of the programs will be gone very soon). The breakfest is way to expensive for what it is. They have maybe two tables of buffet but half of that is serial and the other half is some salmon, bacon and some butter. Butter was expired for two weeks when I ate it. Only realised later. Orange juice was also expired, thus tasting sour. When I told the stuff about the orange juice they were like: „That’s not possible we just recently opened it.“ Well either they were lying or they just don’t seem to care. Overall a more negative stay than positive. WiFi also randomly cancels out and you have to wait 5 mins before it comes back up. Parking garage underground was not working properly over my stay so always had to run in and ask them to open the garage for me, because my card wouldn’t open the garage. They told me it’s because of the cold (I was staying here in January) but I hardly believe it would work better in the summer. Parking garage is also very very tight so if you drive a bigger car don’t go here either. I recommend searching yourself something else!

The hotel is nice, but it is not worth the 200 euro a night for a family of 4. We did the family room and the beds where the hardest most uncomfortable mattress ever. The room where very clean, clean linens and towels, and the parking garage requires a lot of patience, it's underground and if you drive anything mid size and up I would park it elsewhere. It's right behind a farm and next to a burnt out house.

Paid €€€ for three rooms. Were made to wait in the lobby for hours despite low occupancy and housekeeping being busy. Were told that early check-in is €20 per room. All seemed deliberate. Building works happening and constant banging. Nothing to do in the area with kids. Next reasonable restaurant 15mins walk away. Never coming back here.

The name implies a lot more than it actually delivers. If Ökotel means that in the breakfast area the yoghurt, cream cheese, etc. are not taken from the *LIDL is worth it* packaging in order to save waste - then yes. But perhaps they should take a closer look at the freshness of some of the breakfast side dishes. The rooms are large and spacious and nicely furnished, clean but the mattresses may be eco-friendly but are rock hard and not suitable for sleeping. Reminds me of the light blue school sports mats from the past... Also cool is the advice not to use the elevator in the building after 11 p.m. for safety reasons - when you then see the expired TÜV sticker in the elevator cabin it warms your heart. WiFi availability and the coffee machines offer *definitely room for improvement* It's sometimes the little things here and there that make the difference.

What we liked:
In preparation for our trip, the hotel staff was quite friendly and assisted us with our arrival. The rooms were acceptably clean for the most part. The heated floor in the bathroom was quite nice. Also nice to know that the toilets use recycled rainwater.
What could be improved:
It did not quite feel like there was much "love" invested in furnishing/maintaining the room, we had the "suite". The room had basic wood furnishings, there is also access to a shared balcony (2 chairs and no table. We would have liked to have a morning coffee outside our room, alas no coffee machine and no table outside) There were black chemical streaks in the toilet, but it was nothing to lose your mind over. We also belong to the group of reviewers that found the mattresses to be a bit too firm for our liking, so we didnt sleep so great. I guess that is a personal preference....
Also, due to some uncertainty regarding our plans, the hotel ended up billing us for a night in the parking garage which we did not use. We had stated our uncertainty about using the garage for another night, the receptionist apparently booked it in the system as a definite "yes".(Tip: we parked in the neighborhood for free) Upon asking the receptionist to clear the charge (7,50€), she refused, stating that the parking space had already been reserved for us. For a 3-night, 1x Breakfast bill of 315€, I really would have appreciated that very small, but important gesture of not charging your guests for something they did not use.
All in all, we probably will not be coming back because that moment with the parking spot left a bit of a "bad aftertaste". Sometimes a simple & kind gesture can make all the difference. Oh well.

Best hotel ever.
Why? Because it is radiation free, i.e. no Wifi, no W-Lan. It was so agreeable and tranquil to the senses. And everything is ecologically safe and sound: the beds, the atmosphere, the complimentary toiletries in the bathroom, the biological breakfast. It was the best hotel experience ever. The owner was very helpful, There was no hot water, and he immediately took care of it. Don't be lead astray by his appearance though.The owner is a kind and affable person at heart. We DEFINITELY need more hotels like this!
