Rooms comfy clean and hot, but the service of staff on front desk leaves you feeling you wouldn't recommend this .ideal to walk into the main town of koln

Clean, good sized dorms, lockers available, excellent location to the train station, very easy connection to airport. Great location to city centre/cathedral too. expensive on a Saturday night, but not many other options in Cologne which is a shame as backpackers will likely leave it off their travels because of this. Hand towel and soap as a basic hygiene measure should be provided in dorms please...

As a person who uses hostels a lot, this one was pretty expensive, there were no plugs near the bed so i had to climb off my bed in order to charge my phone, however the place was clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was a let down seeing that the booking was expensive, it was a normal german breakfast with bread, cheese and cold meat. No hot breakfast.

The place is super clean but overall it’s just poor value for money. Minimum expected things were missing: No soap in the bathrooms, no working wifi, no eggs nor real orange juice in the breakfast. No AC or fan in the room and the window can only be opened a bit, so the room gets too warm (don’t come here in summer). Oh and check out time is too early!

Rooms were clean, comfortable bed. Staff pleasant. Breakfast disappointing and the restaurant closed at 2:00 pm. Very inconvenient.

Cheap, clean and quiet hotel. I can't say that is of good quality, avoid rooms on the lower floor. A central place in transportation.

I'm not very often in Hotels - even not in Hotels in the German Federal territory. For a 3 star Hotel I think the rooms (especially the bathroom) are more likely to be very small. For someone with more Wealth is in the shower is a challenge... The bed I have slept in the I, knarxt... is simply outdated already... I then placed the mattress on the floor to sleep then on the ground, it was bearable...

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the cathedral. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable.

Reception staff very rude when we asked her to chk the non working tv, reluctantly she went to 'fix' but still not working though she claimed already done . No info of the places to go but answered to us all up to u, I don't know what u wanted to do , when we told her of interests the history n so on , she just play not interested at all ..we had 2 big luggage and she placed us at the level without...

Though it is an old hotel, it is clean and well kept. There is a tiny lift (no sweat with luggages). Room has beautiful courtyard view. Sound proofing needs some work 😅 Room was warm as it faced west, asked for a table fan. Buffet continental breakfast has a good selection of cheese. Overall it is well worth the money. Friendly staff. We could check in at 10.30am as the room was ready.

I stayed at the hotel last week and we haven't had such a clean and comfortable hotel in a long time. Both the staff, who are open to any question, and the cleanliness were very good. My husband and I stayed for one night to watch the Germany vs. Northern Ireland match in the World Cup qualification. Overall, the experience was good, except for the cleaning staff who entered our room twice before we checked out.

Because we were traveling by car, we booked this hotel for the convenience of parking. The location is a bit remote. We took a taxi to the city center. We needed to fill out a form manually to check in, which was a bit slow. There was no elevator in the room.

First of all the room was clean and big. And the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, as stated multiple times in other reviews, there is a wedding/party venue right next door with a lot of people and loud noise. It did stop at midnight though, so still possible to get some decent sleep. We stayed here for a concert nearby and this hotel was pretty much the only option. But a little too expensive...

We stayed in Cologne for 2 nights, and we needed a room for three. This hotel offered us two separate rooms, which was great. Both rooms had fridges, but neither one of them worked, we brought it to the attention to the receptionist at the front desk, however, it was about 7:50 pm when we discussed it with them and they were leaving for the night…. The staff was very friendly upon arrival and were accommodating with my early arrival time. The hotel is just across the bridge from the main attractions and right beside Koln Trianlge. There is also a tramline right outside the hotel for convienice! The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom was modern, clean and the shower was of good quality. I would highly recommend this place.

A quaint little hotel with friendly staff , well situated near the railway station and the tram network , very clean and well kept rooms , very comfortable beds ( slept better than at home) really lovely breakfast consisting of continental and British eggs and bacon , would definitely stay again!

Brilliant location, super friendly team, easy travel from the airport, on the quieter bank but a tram stop right outside (line 1 or line 7 stops just down the road). Easy walk into the City, truly wonderful experience - recommend bike hire from Radstation at the main station - excellent bike routes and such fun

Brilliant food, quite extraordinary and not overly expensive

This hotel was great. I couldn't give them 5 stars, however, because they gave me a room with a bathroom that had a slanted ceiling over the shower. I was too tall to take a shower. ?

The two stars, you can see the rooms, of course. However, the staff is really nice and accommodating.

The location: very Central, with links to the Public transport network in about 150 meters. Ambience: the entrance area and corridors are a little Dark. Overall, a little in need of Renovation but largely clean and functional. Even a small Elevator is available. The rooms are a little shabby and sparse. But it's all there and the condition was fine. Small but full bathroom. TV and free W-Lan access...

I myself have stayed there. Super nice staff, for each of the Cologne visit once the will is actually Ideal. What you need is there.

Great hotel. Rooms are small but the furnitures are new and modern. The location is perfect, in the heart of Cologne.The staff is very helpful and quality of breakfast is great with a lot of options. In additon, you get tickets to taste the Sion beer at the pub just around the corner. I will definetely come back to this hotel in my future travels to Cologne.

Absolutely Central - just a few steps to the Dom, Heumarkt, alter Markt and the Rhine. Single room: tiny, but for Sleeping and read it. Unfortunately, ancient tube TV in this room. This hotel is located perfectly - close to the train station, and right in the historic center of the town. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the personnel is friendly. For some reason they still use old keys for the door that you have to leave at the reception every time you leave. I'd have preferred more modern key cards.

Breakfast was amazing. Very pleasant personnel that really care about your needs and are sweet people! Comfy beds, nice italian shower, enough space to store our things.

Very nice place to stay. I would give it five stars, but the "small" TV only had a few channels, the breakfast (although good for a continental) was limited, and the language barrier was a small challenge. I would still recommend this place because they were friendly and not frustrated by the language barrier.

The only thing that could make stay better in the summer, would be airco in the hotelrooms. The rest is great service.

Re. Restaurant ONLY: hidden gem for some local dishes (see pictures; e.g. once a week there are very tasty potato fritters called “Reibekuchen” or “Rievkooche” op Kölsch, mouth-watering sauté potatoes or “Bratkartoffeln”). Went here as I was craving some good German dishes and was positively surprised. Also friendly service - will return again.

Good value for one night staying: basic but very clean and comfortable room. The location is good. The only thing is that the reception seems doesn’t speak English (only German), and it makes communication quite difficult.

Great value hotel 10 / 15 min walk from shopping area. Safe off street parking 2 min walk away (and cheap). Good size room and nice bathroom / facilities. Friendly family run business and very helpful staff. Pleasant breakfast also good value. Slept really well even though being in a big city is far noisier than my little home village. Easy to find by car and will definitely return.

This is prolly my first time giving a positive review for someone but I wanted to give one for Windsor purely cos of their service. Absolutely the nicest and friendliest staff I’ve ever experienced. Always greeting us with a smile and super flexible for our needs. Location is a quick 10 min walk to the dome and their breakfast is prolly the best bargain-to-quality breakfast in Köln. It’s walking distance near the center and cathedral. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Clean and a vintage look that make it special place! We took the breakfast and was full of chooses, salty or sweet options, really recommended!! They allowed pets and we had our kitten with us so was wonderful! They give us a room that it’s specific for pets, clean with windows great shower , big closed, TV...

The Hotel Windsor is greatly located (very close from the center), the room is clean and the reception is incredibly kind.

Excellent location next to the airport. Friendly staff, present 24h. Clean rooms. Pain point: the phonic isolation. Airplanes and even neighbors can be heard via the windows. I would recommand the hotel to take actions on this - it can become quite a problem.

Very adequate for if you've an early flight the next morning/ have landed late at night. Is a short walk (no more than 15 mins) on either a path/dodgy looking fort pavement. Easy access to the train to koln/bonn too

Really nice and friendly staff. We stranded there because our flight was cancelled, we were pretty angry at the airline, but they made us feel comfortable and we had a short, but great night. Totally recommend it! Giid place to stay, very near to the airport.

Easy quick stay but no AC and very noisy in the mornings for airport travel. Beds are comfortable and rooms are of great size. Staff was friendly and welcoming and we're very accommodating for a overnight check-in after 1am on short notice.

Unfortunately couldn't try the breakfast, although it was available from 5 am. Carpets had a funny watermelon design and the rooms we're quite comfortable just like the bed. Bathroom was adequate. All in all perfect for the night before a flight at Cologne-Bonn.

Basic Hotel for the cheapest price in the region. It's okay for 1 to 3 nights.

Small boutique hotel with decent rooms and good breakfast. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Seems to be run as a family business, so there is a personal touch. On the flipside, if you plan to check in late at night, be sure to call ahead to figure out parking access and how to get your room keys as the lobby is literally locked and shut down. The hotel also has a strange practice of powering off...

Nice hotel in an old city building. I liked that I was able to securely park my car in the back lot. The room was comfortable and clean. Good value as many hotels were sold out or high prices during the Christmas Markt season. My daughter and I walked and visited 5 Christmas Markts from the Hotel Boulevard and would have made e 6 if not for rain. They offer a very good breakfast in the morning.

Good location, friendly personal, average breakfast (pay extra for presso coffee), small elevator, beds are comfortable but small, cold because of small radiator. Rooms are clean and pretty quite. Nice interior with nice pictures on wall what was quite good in details. During summer it is a nice big balcony. In total good according to standard of Koln.

Me and my son had a very comfortable stay during a visit for the Christmas markets. Location wise was very convenient to access the central parts of the city, either by foot or by tram. The room had shower and sink facilities. However the toilet was on a different floor. Whilst not the end of the world, it was tricky to go to the loo with a toddler! Beds were super cosy, and we both slept very well...

Very comfortable bed, nice staff, and super easy to get into downtown Cologne from here (multiple train options). Only thing to keep in mind is the walls are a bit thin, I only had issues with noise 1 of my 3 nights, and earplugs fixed that!

Very nice little hotel in the Barbarosa platz section of Koln/Cologne. The rooms are very clean as well as the bathrooms. Really friendly staff more than happy to help. Most of their English is quite good, they will let you reserve parking in advance, easy to get into, and the price is fair. The only thing I wish they had was more rooms with full bathrooms, but they are limited due to the building...

Small and quaint hotel not a big walk away from the centre with a tram stop on the door and paid parking available. Shares toilets but ensuite rooms. I was told upon arrival though that I would have to pay cash for city tax and parking even though they have a card reader. This I argued and paid on card in the end as I was away with business and could not withdraw money out on company credit card. This...

Clean hotel. Didn't have any problems with the shared toilet, was very clean and never had to wait when we used it. Only complaint is the pillows were rubbish. You can here the tram through the night but didn't really bother us. It's about a 25min walk to the centre which isn't bad considering the price of this hotel per night. Very good location; walking distance from the centre and from Belgian quarter. Hotel is very clean and kept that way. Communal toilets are also kept very very clean. staff friendly and English speaking.

Lovely, quiet location right by the river. Local shops are a 5 mins walk away. Nice breakfast set-up where you can sit inside, or outside on a lovely balcony with a few tables.

The lady at reception was very nice; she prepared the room beautifully. I had asked her to do this because my husband's birthday was the next day. She prepared everything with such care and attention, and then explained everything to us. That's what I call service. The room is lovely, and the bed is comfortable.
