I give full score because of the Breakfast, the coffee and the Super friendly Chefs...... Overall impression is ok, it is not the best hotel, in which one will ever sleep. Free WiFi is available, but it is not too fast. It is generally clean here, sheets, pillows and blankets could have been fresher. Breakfast was also OK.

The location of the hotel and the staff were excellent. The room was very clean. It would have been much better if there was water in the room. But it's okay, I got it myself 🤓 highly recommended!

Loved my stay here, the owner was so kind and helpful, the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the most beautiful cathedral in the world, the room was clean and comfortable provided with essentials. I would definitely come back.

Very friendly staff except for one woman Who was acting a bit hectic. English not perfect so sometimes a bit trouble with communication. Hotelrooms were very clean and it felt like an actual hotelroom which is good for the cheap booking. Not recommending the food but it's doable if you don't mind low variation.

Booking this hotel, we didn’t have massively high expectations as it’s clearly a budget location. Our experience did match our preconceptions, but the bottom line is it does the job. The room was nice. It was clean, and had enough space for the two of us. The hotel is situated on a loud road outside of central Cologne; if you’re tired this is fine, but the police sirens might become quite annoying...

The main disadvantage of the hotel was internet problem. There was a poor wireless connection in the room and most of the time, the internet was interrupted. Its location is far away from the city center but the public transportation is close to the hotel. The room was clean. Overall, except for internet, this hotel was a good choice.

We stayed for one night and overall experience was good . Breakfast was also nice . Rooms were cozy in winters but their quilt is small if you are with small kid . May be ask for one extra quilt

A very favourable relationship between price and quality level! The bathroom is modern. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast buffet comprises a grand variety of dishes. The building as such is not modern and may not seem very attractive. However the service is very good. The personnel is friendly and helpful. The hotel is easy to reach by means of Cologne's city trains.

Hotel is generally ok, close to highway. Also pretty ok breakfast for 6€. Just watch out since they don't accept credit cards for amounts less than 150€.

Stop bitching, will ya!? This hotel is excellent. you do your homework and you won't have problems. Yes, the hotel doesn't have an elevator. its not a new thing. you should have checked in advanced. They won't build one just for you. And yes, the breakfast is different. its more of a coffee shop breakfast in which you choose from a menu with a variety of choices. you want a Bouffe? go someplace else...

It wasn't pleasant. I was expecting something else when I booked it. First of all, no one told us that we could get a room in the upper floor (5th) and would have to climb all the stairs with suitcases. There is no elevator (the information is on booking). No one asks you if you can or not climb so many stairs. In this case, no one was disable but one person was pregnant and it was extremely hard to...

Overall a good stay. Very central, good breakfast, easy access to Koln HBF. It was exceptionally hot in Cologne during my stay and so the first couple of nights it was uncomfortably hot at night. Staff were able to fashion up a bit of a solution for a more comfortable sleep for my last two nights. Not really their fault though. Be prepared for climbing stairs to your room, not a place for less abled...

Very uncomfortable stay No lift and no air conditioning. Weather perhaps unseasonably hot. Room stifling and fan did nothing at all to help even with the window open, Hotel well positioned and central. Rooms nice apart from heat.

Liked the free beer, and amenities especially hair dyer and electric kettle. Automatic check-in system is little might be a hard part. We could always get help by phone though.

Great little hotel in a remarkable old structure. First class service from Petsonal with heart and mind. Exactly my breakfast, you can hardly get a better place. Prices are fair.

Good location, very comfortable bed, satisfying breakfast with good coffee, nice host. No sound-proofing, as a result one can hear the other tenants clearly and the busy street with the window open.

Last time after I got my baggage, which contained my passport, stolen right before the departure fron Koln central station, I asked this hotel for help, as I remembered that I had experienced hospitality there before. A little dirty room mainly dust nothing else and bad connection to WiFi. Other than that everything was great and very centrally located which is very convenient.

Spent a night in this hotel. The whole experience was lovely, the receptionist was so helpful and friendly. The room exceeded our expectations; it was nice, spacious, and very clean. Room service in the evening and breakfast were good. Thanks to all for making our experience very memorable. We will definitely be staying here again.

Old world hotel, noisy at night but the atmosphere and ruggidness overcomes that. Breakfast good, toilets meager but adequate being only 1 per floors. and hidden doors, staircases to keep you guessing. Return to early 20th century a d enjoy

A small boutique hotel about 6mins walk from main station on quiet side of town. There are a few steps from street to reception entry. There is a tiny lift that can fit two person or one person with a suitcase. We stayed in a room on third floor so was happy there is a lift there. About as central as you get in Cologne Lovely hotel very central to Cologne, about 10m walk to train station. Room large, clean but no kettle or iron. Arrived late so had to get key from lockbox which was not easy as it was dark

I had a one might stay in here. The bed and pillow are comfortable. Lights in the room is very unevenly distributed and can nit make the brighter in a good way. The cleaning of the bathroom was average. Overall experience was okay. The breakfast was included and was reasonably okay.

Hello, I visited the hotel for 3 days it was okay for the short term stay however staff at reception was quite professional and helpful.

We booked this hotel for a business stay with a group of colleagues. The hotel has a perfect location for the trade show visitors. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was very tasty. We had a great stay at the hotel and we will come again next year!

The hotel has functional furnishings with good beds and was very clean. The reception was relaxed and friendly. The breakfast buffet is OK and completely reasonable for the price. Unfortunately there is no elevator and I didn't have any extra heating in the bathroom.

Great hotel for city trips! Small but nice, inexpensive, quiet and yet very close to the old town, opposite there is parking for € 6 per day. Mr. Matner gave us a very warm welcome and even pre-reserved the last free parking space for us with his own car. The rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped with everything you could need. Very comfortable beds. We will be back!

Great new hotel in Ehrenfeld. Rooms are large, staff are friendly. Well stocked mini bar. Has a modern industrial feel.

Beautiful rooms we had room 35. Staff were very helpful and translated in to English for us if they were in sure. Had to get help as our travel plug did not work and nothing was too much for them. Looking forward to staying again soon. Thankyou Mr and Mrs Marsh.

In this world you get what you pay for; But this was actually ok. Small cosy room thats cleaned daily right in the city centre. Its literally 5mins walk from the main train station. Staff are friendly and hotel is in a quiet location. Only downside is the shared shower but as its a small hotel there was never any issues getting access, there is one on each floor.

Very good price for the location (3 mins from Koeln HBF, so if you travel by train, this is ideal). The hotel allows you good connection to many landmarks as well as a S-Bahn station (is it called S-Bahn? I hope so lols). From the outside it looks rather modest, but the interior is amazingly cozy - I must say whoever decided to pick those particular pictures to decorate the walls has a great taste...

This hotel feels like you are visiting your grandmother. The place looks like your grandmother's house. The place smells like your grandmother's house (don't know how they did that). And like at your grandmother's place, you share the bathroom with the family (floor). The guy at the receptionist is your actual grandmother. What a loving, caring and incredibly sweet lad. Positives: Very friendly staff. Great food for dinner. Breakfast was a little limited but what was available was good. Right next to the airport. On the negative side: There was limited parking when we arrived around dinner time. All TV channels were pretty much snowed out.

Satisfactorily. In the room of the smell of a three star hotel, sleep only with open Windows. The Breakfast is poor. The hotel location is good, near the Central shopping street, to the Cathedral 20 minutes on foot.
