Steigenberger Hotel Koln

Fantastic location and hotel. Staff are very friendly. Room is very clean and spacious. Only issue with the room is the toilet is opposite the bed and there is a gap under the door, unsure if this is the same with every room.

Gorgeous hotel, service was mediocre but still helpful. Rooms are massive and everything was clean and working properly, would definitely book again. Location was great too with loads of food options.

Stayed here for a 3 day city break. Fab, spacious rooms. Very clean & staff friendly. Is a bit out of the way from the centre. Around a 20 minute walk. Only fault would be that breakfast is quite expensive so we didn’t opt for this. €25 each for a breakfast buffet is quite overpriced. Thanks for a great stay.

Great location for Christmas markets! The hotel is outside the city centre but we liked being closer to the smaller markets. We stayed in December 2024 and the hotel was exactly what we needed. The rooms were very big and the gym was huge and well stocked. Would recommend!

A Gem in Cologne: Perfect Location, Comfortable Stay, and Friendly Staff

If you're looking for a hotel in Cologne, I highly recommend this one—and here’s why: the location is absolutely perfect! It’s right at Randolph Platz station, putting you at the heart of the city with easy access to everything. There's really no need to explain further; it just makes getting around incredibly convenient. 5 stars for the location alone!

The room itself was spotless, and I was pleasantly surprised by the bed—it was incredibly comfortable, which is a top priority for me when I travel. After long days of exploring, it was exactly what I needed to unwind and get a good night's rest.

Now, about the staff: I typically don't have much interaction with hotel staff, but one thing that stood out here—they smiled! Now, if you’ve traveled around Europe, you might know what I mean when I say that friendly smiles can sometimes be hard to come by. Often, you're met with neutral or poker faces, so seeing the staff here greet me with a warm smile was a refreshing and pleasant surprise. That simple gesture made me feel welcome, and for that, I give the service 5 stars too!

Though this isn’t a luxury hotel, it ticks all the boxes for a great stay. The cleanliness, the comfortable bed, the smiling staff, and—bonus points for the sunshine! You know how rare it can be to get sunny weather in Europe, but my room had beautiful sunlight streaming through the windows, making my mornings even better. The height of the building and its location allowed for great views and bright, airy spaces.

In short, this hotel exceeded my expectations. With a prime location, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and even some sunshine to brighten the stay, I couldn’t have asked for more. This is definitely a 5-star experience in my book, and I’ll gladly return when I visit Cologne again.

Room and facilities were top notch for my stay on 12 August.
My check in staff were polite and courteous as were the spa and gym staff who are fantastic.

A great shame the check out person (Hirsch who claimed he was the manager) I believe was rude and unhelpful citing a bizarre policy for his behaviour. Otherwise a great hotel.

The hotel room is so spacious and clean throughout. Everything worked sufficiently in the room.
All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a full spread of great variety.
Not a far walk from the Cologne cathedral and other tourist attractions. So many great restaurants in the surrounding area!
Definitely worth the stay!
