Where to stay in Koln

We had a great time staying 4 nights. Perfect location. Reception Manager, Veronica took best care of us. Thank you so much for everything.

I was staying in the Boutique building which I believe is newer and right across the street from the front desk. The room was updated with new furnishings and fixtures and was spotless. Location is terrific as it is a 10 min walk to the Dom or 10 minutes to the river. Close to the main shopping street and lots of restaurants. It is an incredible value stay and I could not be more pleased with the quality...

It's very close to Cologne Cathedral. It's a city hotel with a small space, but the price is quite reasonable for this location. It's very close to the Rhine River and the shopping street, which is very suitable for travel.

Although it was a little far from the central station, it was close to the city center, with easy access to supermarkets, restaurants, and shopping areas. It was also about a 5-7 minute walk from Cologne Cathedral. Although it was an older building, it was fairly well-maintained, and the room was quite spacious for the price. Room 208, triple room, quite big. No shower, only bathtub. No USB port, need to bring your own adapter. The hotel is only 700-800 meters away from the main train station and Cologne Cathedral, which can be reached in about 10 minutes. It is very convenient to eat, there are Chinese and Japanese food downstairs.

A really well priced hotel considering the location. Staff were all brilliant and even helped me with some printing! Breakfast was fairly simple, definitely not worth £14 but it’s convenient. The location is great. While not in the city center, it's conveniently located for transportation, with restaurants and drugstores nearby, and excellent amenities. Although the room was small, it was very clean and tidy. The overall stay was very satisfying.

We stayed here for one night, because we were attending a concert in Cologne. The hotel was close to the venue, so for us, the location was perfect. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed/pillows and a nice shower. The staff member who checked us in was a little distracted and didn't give us all the information before wandering away... But his colleague helped us, and the check-out was very easy...

If I were to choose again, I would consider a hotel near the main train station. The area is average, the rooms are average three-star, and the wallpaper on the walls is a giant grasshopper... Be careful! The train tickets to and from the city center are also very expensive. It would be better to pay the extra 20-30 euros and stay in the city center.

Above a restaurant close to the airport. The rooms are OK if you have to have to be on the airport early. The staff was friendly and was willing to help with our additional requests. The temperature of the water was hard to manage.

Completely fine, no areas where it excells, but no real flaws either. Shower is very small, but usable. The metal shutters are good, really block out a lot of light. Bring your own pillow.

I like this hotel. It is simple but clean and quiet. The reception is not open 24h so I suggest to write an email and ask for the instructions to get access to the hotel in the extra hours. Breakfast is simple and with the right variety of choice: jam, breads, cereals, cheese, yogurt. The room was well soundproofed, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was very professional and enthusiastic. The breakfast service was very good. The road to the cathedral is relatively easy to walk, but be careful not to be fooled by Google and Baidu maps and take the wrong road. It is more correct to follow the general direction.

Above all, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is super friendly. Our TV wasn't working due to an update (but that's not really necessary ;)), but all in all, we'd be happy to come back. The 8th floor is a great place to stay; the little terrace is cute because you can walk around it 360 degrees.

Quite disappointed with the stay. We paid extra for the Kind Aqua Deluxe room because of the room photo showing the window with arcs, but we were assigned the normal window view. Perfect hotel building, rich in history and full of character!

Near the airport: the boarding gates of the airport are at 30/40 minutes walking distance. No air conditioning so my room was hot with outside air temperature at almost 30 degrees C.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Very cozy, clean and quiet Hotel and neighborhood. I was in town for a trade show close to downtown but the train from this hotel to Kolnmesse was a breeze and so comfortable.

Excellent location and friendly staff.

Very close to the Cathedral and train station within one block. In the middle of all of the restaurants and historic area. No staff really on site, a desk clerk for a few hours but nothing needed, the instructions are clear and they contacted me before our arrival. Our room was quite large with an upstairs loft!

Good location. It's in walkable distance from most tourist attractions in Köln. Room are smoke-free. Downside is that the rooms are extremely smaller and the facilities in room/washroom are inadequate.

Clean, and well kept. Lots of outlets in the room. Small bathroom but great water pressure for the shower. Super close to everything. So close to the cathedral that you can almost feel the bells. Two parking garages close by for parking.

Its a family running nice hotel in good location, spacious rooms , walking distance from koln central station and the main shopping street. Price also very good.. I really recommend the same. Only negative is very narrow stairs and to get elevator you have to climb some steps.

Excellent location, lovely staff who had many suggestions on what to do in the city and made great scrambled eggs for breakfast. Only downside to the location is being right next to a few busy bars so it can be noisy at night - luckily the windows block out most of the noise and earplugs do the rest!

The location is perfect, checking in and accessibility are not a problem. The surroundings are a bit marginal, cleanliness so-so. The rooms are functionally furnished. An alternative to the three-star standard, but unfortunately with some drawbacks.

Not your typical hotel. There's no staff in case you have a question, or need something. You are provided with sparse amounts of Soap, towels, blankets, and had just one pillow. Decent sized room, and the bed was comfortable.

Prima accommodatie. Is even zoeken waar de ingang is. Wordt niet met een bordje of iets aangegeven. Ingang is bij de Unicenter op de hoek van het gebouw. Je moet de receptie/doorman vragen om deur te openen naar de liften/ingang van het hotel. Verder ging het inchecken met de machine prima. Kamer was ruim en netjes. Tram opstapplaats is aan de overkant en makkelijk te nemen.

Lovely place to stay, the rooms are just perfect, it feels like they thought of everything when planning them. All rooms are studio apartments with kitchenette area(fridge, stove, oven). Staff is very friendly too.

The hotel itself is new and nice. However, i didn't like 4 things: - the location is far away from the city centre. - the parking is very expensive! - the pillows were too high and uncomfortable for me. - no fridge in the room.

This was our first time at the Moxy and we were absolutely thrilled. The decor is fantastic, with great rooms, a lovely bar, and very friendly staff.

There is no problem with German hotels, they are basically very good

The hotel is just a few stops away from Deutz station on the 4 or 14 lines. Parking is available at the hotel or nearby. The rooms were very clean and functionally furnished. The beds were excellent. Check-in/check-out was very quick and friendly. Highly recommended, especially for concerts at the Palladium or E-Werk.

Our room had a balkony, all necessary furniture and a little fridge. But at the same time it was not cleaned well during our stay. Staff was very friendly. I think I would stay there again.

The staff was extremely pleasant I even gave them an apple pie! Rooms are nice and spacious, heater in the bathroom excellent for a warm shower after a winter day walk to the Christmas markets.

A good hotel! Excellent location for shopping. Great for nightlife. The Cologne Exhibition Centre is directly accessible from the underground just a few metres away. The staff are polite and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I wouldn't call it a four star hotel, bit the price is fair for the location and the standard.

Cosy, at a Local level would be assumed to be the Ambeinte rather in more rural areas and in the ratio of price/performance competitiveness. Who has enough chain of Hotell rooms brand of Swedish Furniture in a living here-stay accommodation.

From the outside it does not look that good and tidy but uts very modern on the inside. The rooms are just big enough and everything is very tidy and clean.

Always read the small print. Check in done at another hotel nearby. This hotel is unattended by staff. Can't point my finger on anything good or bad about this place, but there is no doubt it's budget. Then back again at the check in place for breakfast.

Very tasty gyros, friendly service, and a great place to eat delicious food. The fries were very crispy and tasty. The gyros were very well seasoned and juicy. Of course, they also serve tzatziki and salad, but I didn't want to try them today. There were also restrooms available 👍

We ordered here today by chance and were absolutely satisfied! The employee on the phone was very friendly and the food came very quickly. The portions were more than enough for the price and it tasted really delicious. What I personally thought was great is that the coleslaw and all the sauces were packaged separately so that the food still remains crispy. Gladly again.

Good location - 2 minutes walk to ubahn and 20 minutes by traon to the city centre then. Reasonable breakfast. Close to the airport too. Beware of a big dog though.

The hotel located just right beside the train station. The room was ok but the bathroom stinks. We stayed one night together with my family from Malaysia and my newly wedded German husband. Maybe because of security concerns, the night shift receptionist was asking my husband to tell him our room number, booking under whose name and show him the room key after he went down to smoke outside the hotel...

Excellent. Located in a quiet side street near the Rhine. Comfortable room, very quiet hotel, friendly staff & breakfast. 5 minutes walk from Reichensperger Platz U Bahn metro station a couple of stops from Köln Hbf & the Dom. Reception manned 24/7. A safe quiet area.I would definitely stay again.

Location was great and my room super cute and very clean. The bathroom isn't very private but that didn't bother me as I was travelling alone. I had very noisy neighbours but without them, it would have been perfect.

Stayed one night in February. Had to take an oral exam at the Cologne Chamber of Tax Advisors and had to put my suitcase somewhere because I had traveled by train. And that was solved very easily by the hostess, which was really helpful to me!!! Therefore full recommendation, that the room was clean and quiet, the equipment was also completely sufficient, there was a TV but it wasn't used! Downstairs...
