We stayed here three years ago for two nights. It was very pleasant and we greatly enjoyed the beautiful setting. A loud wedding party late into one night in the rooms above was the only downside. That could happen anywhere. Our room was on the river in the block nearest the spa.
This time, we are here three nights. Our room is above the pool. Not our choice. The restaurant is expanding and there is construction noise even during meals. But we have been hugely dissappointed with the extreme noise around the pool. The music is excessively loud all day and, even after pool hours, the conversation/partying level is much louder than should be tolerated where guests are staying -- unless fully booked by a single group. Frankly, the trip has been ruined by the thoughtless noise levels.
The very young staff are extremely pleasant and, generally, accomodating. Real management, however, seems to have given way to indifference in permitting a loud party atmosphere. If that is what a guests seek, they will find it here!

Without a doubt, the place is very beautiful I would recommend it and I would come back. The only thing I didn't like was their high prices in the restaurant dishes as they didn't taste good at all, but the hotel is very cozy and the green areas incredible, an unforgettable view you could feel a lot of peace, I would love to come back and I would do it soon.
The service from the guys at the front desk was so-so, as was the waiter's service not the best, but they can do better.

We got a room in the old section and it was in need of some basic repairs. It was clean though. The pool table does not have enough balls to make a full rack, the three 7 balls made for an interesting game. The sunny hot tub was occupied by several couples engaged in transactional intimacy and the shaded hot tub was being used by one of the DR's most followed Youtubers or so they said. Both pools were tepid at best. The grounds and river are the stars of this show. Spectacular foliage and the multitude of budgies housed under the restaurant putting in solid supporting actor roles. The restaurant menu is very diverse and maybe even a little exotic but they couldn't cook a decent bacon cheeseburger. My bun tasted like it had been dipped in water first. Calling it soggy would be an understatement. Fortunately my poor Spanish resulted my wife' Taco order being duplicated. I pushed the burger aside and grabbed a Taco. When I dissected my second Taco I realized it was comprised of a pile of cabbage and a very few chopped shrimp bits. Beautiful surroundings and a view overlooking the rapids made them edible.

We came here on April for our honeymoon, they arranged the towels nicely and put some roses which was a nice surprise.
Hotel is very nice, located on a beautiful lake. They have a bridge over and some paths to walk along, beautiful.
We came with a car so like 5 min away from the main town.
Only thing we had a problem with - only a few of the staff knew any English.
Ohhh and pool wasn’t clean, poor lady cleaned it 5 times a day but was windy and leafs kept falling in.

Wonderful and beautiful place, however the experience is diminished by the obnoxiously loud reguetón music since 10 in the morning.
The mangú breakfast was awful as-well. Would not come back to stay, not worth the money you pay… when you can just go enjoy the river at the restaurant and leave to a real peaceful place, that is more respectful of the environment and guest experience.

Smelly room, not existent service (sorry to the stuff for having disturbed you while standing around), dirty pools, not existing possibility for any activities, No access to hiking paths, bad breakfast (at least the stuff that finally arrived at our table, not forgotten by the waiter). Amazing having a convention in the hotel Restaurant during dinner time. Among top ten of the worst Hotels experienced ever.

I would give a zero. The staff is uninterested, slow and is hiding. The builiding/rooms are dirty, smelly und run down. The breakfast is awful ( do Not eat dinner there). You can't go for a walk, you have drive opposite the town and the pools are dirty, partly disgusting. 2 lost days!

It is a nice place with an excellent service. The location is kind of challenging to arrive at night, but it is the geography. The rooms need a make up of modernization.

absolutely fantastic place to stay. Room service was excellent. the service is super awesome. great dining area and some light small trails. plus you got multiple pools and a river to cool off. Walk the premises and enjoy the flowers and plants.
