I highly recommend this place. This is still one of the best eco hotels in the area. The constant background sound of the river is very relaxing, and they have multiple pools, including jacuzzi and a heated pool. However, the rooms need some upgrading as most of the equipment won't work properly and some can smell of humidity.

Here again back after a year or so and I can truly say you get what you pay for. This definitely once was a grand hotel and is now awaiting new investors. I love the staff. They believe in their product more than their bosses. They are eager to please with
limited resources or guidance. It took two workers and too many minutes to get a price on an item in their display. The menu is priced above average for the city but I enjoy the food. Were it not for the beautiful Jimenoa river running past in mighty splendor there would be no reason for not running out of here

Great location and loved the waterside bar and restaurant. Very relaxing and natural beauty.
Service is poor and little English spoken. Had to move rooms because of the ongoing disco by the pool area. Renovations ongoing so lots of noise unfortunately.

The best stay, comfy soft sheets is a must and this hotel has it. Views and relaxation are the perfect touch. And the food was perfect. You must come

The River is great, the rooms are ok. River view i guess is better. We stayed in the pool side rooms. No noise during the week. Wait staff super nice. I am not sure about the previous reviews but we (family of 5 ) had a lot of food here and let me tell you - out of 20+ things we tried, everything was awesome. Desserts, pumpkin soup, salads, ...you name it, we had it. Next time we stay here we will not even go out to eat . Prices are reasonable and quality high. Breakfast is amazing ( unless there is buffet) - then it is a bit worse but but still good enough. Scrambled eggs and dominican , fruit cereal.... but when there is few ppl and they serve a la carte, it is very good and solid. Natural juice, coffee...hot tea... . More than enough and of high quality. We will come back for sure

We stayed here three years ago for two nights. It was very pleasant and we greatly enjoyed the beautiful setting. A loud wedding party late into one night in the rooms above was the only downside. That could happen anywhere. Our room was on the river in the block nearest the spa.
This time, we are here three nights. Our room is above the pool. Not our choice. The restaurant is expanding and there is construction noise even during meals. But we have been hugely dissappointed with the extreme noise around the pool. The music is excessively loud all day and, even after pool hours, the conversation/partying level is much louder than should be tolerated where guests are staying -- unless fully booked by a single group. Frankly, the trip has been ruined by the thoughtless noise levels.
The very young staff are extremely pleasant and, generally, accomodating. Real management, however, seems to have given way to indifference in permitting a loud party atmosphere. If that is what a guests seek, they will find it here!
