My family and I decided to come here all the way from NJ to vacation here since our family lives relatively close. I would like to clarify, It is not our first time we travel to resorts and this was the most disappointing experience ever.
For starters, the hotel looked beautiful and everything is close , and very kid friendly. The food was okay, they have a variety of options for everyone including picky eaters. The hotel felt safe and it was very quiet at night which is great. The pool was clean.
The entertainment team was very friendly, and went above and beyond to make everyone happy and feel included. They had the mini disco party for the kids and everyone seemed to have a great time.
Now, the room was extremely disgusting, it was humid, the ac was not working, it smelled terrible, and there was a LOT of mosquitoes inside. The all inclusive part was for everyone including the mosquitoes, also the bedsheets were not clean. There was food left outside of our room for days, which no one picked up and it smelled disgusting! Customer service was terrible and not friendly at all. The drinks were not great. I’m usually not one to make a bad review but overall, I’m sorry but would not recommend to anyone. Save yourself your money and go somewhere else.

I loved it their my family vacation reunion was great and the stuff made it even better With ther amazing hospitality and the activities guys by the pool aerobic and dance and contest were great 👍 congratulations and see you again planing girls trip with my lady's here. Recommend to all this place. Ohh and the drink at the bar monitor passion fruit it was 👌 super

I stayed at Emotions with a group of six. We enjoyed our stay, the personal were greatly attentive, the food was very good, and the rooms were nice a cool. On the other end there are a few things that lowered my experience.
First the hotel was a bit outdated, the rooms need to be up to date, the bathroom doors were loose, the towels were old and a bit raggedy.
On another note when we arrived the shampoo and conditioner in the showers were low, also outside the sun was very strong I feel like they should’ve had more trees or bigger umbrellas to provide shade.
The beaches at Puerto Plata are not as good because of strong waves making it a bit uncomfortable to enjoy it. The sand was nice and white and clean, there were people offering different amenities at the beach, but were very decent no one was over the top trying to sell.
Over all if you want to have a nice time without spending too much I would completely recommend.

We are very pleased with our vacation and service at hotel. It’s our second time at this place. We got great room facing on ocean. Room was cleaned every day, food was delicious. Also, we got a complimentary massage for me and my husband as a return customer. Highly recommended to visit this place. The manager Rosa Maria Vasquez was amazing and professional. During our stay 2 weeks she helps us to resolve our issues right away, thank you for your excellent service and support.

My first vacation, this place is truly amazing. The atmosphere is a vibe, the staff are amazing to help you with anything. The entertainment crew keeps the vibes alive, the crew is funny and keeps the atmosphere dancing and music alive. The food is good and the rooms are clean and comfy. The whole experience has been amazing and I would come back here for the shows at night, the fun pool side dancing and games they play.

I stayed at this resort with my family for 2 nights and 3 days. And they had great activities for the morning and the night for both the kids and the adults. They have aerobics and great food at almost every hour. Their rooms have amazing ac you feel very refreshed. I highly recommend their Italian restaurant if you can book a reservation there first thing!

Had a great time here. Didn’t stay in there hotel we stop from a cruise. At the beach we had a bartender that went above and beyond to make sure we had a fresh and cold drinks at all times.

This resort is okay with a few exceptions that might make or break your experience. First of all the room is very beautiful, you have very cold air conditioning, a smart TV, and a very nice balcony to sit outside. We had several issues with our room beginning with the bathroom which had two leaks coming from the room upstairs. Although we were not staying too long we decided to overlook this. Secondly, the room had a serious fly problem. At night I had to use mosquito repellent on myself and the entire bed area in order to be left alone by the mosquitoes, not even the AC was able to get them to stay away. Now onto the hotel. The food was good, and the customer service was good as well. The only issue I had was that they had an issue with running out of drinks in every bar I went to, and the wait time was between 30 minutes to an hour for them to restock. I find that a little ridiculous since this is what you do all day, why allow the item to fully finish before ordering your next batch? This for me was very disappointing because I have been to many resorts in the past, and being out of stock was never an issue. Apart from that the hotel is a decent stay, nothing exceptional, but nothing terrible either, just in the middle.

Nice but need updating. Bar tenders overwhelmed with very small crowd. Main pool bar thatch roof is ugly with large holes (Gran Ventana Resort).

The food was very good. The room was pretty, but was not properly cleaned and stocked. Pool bar ran out of favorite drink after me getting 3 drinks and never restocked, the concierge assigned to us did not care for us as customers he just saw us as a commission, he didn’t file our complaints neither was interested in doing so. There is a kids pool which is nice.
