Beach was only 10min from the hotel, easy access with taxis/ubers. People working there are very professional and organized. 5/5 would recommend this place, food was amazing at the pool as well! Everything was fresh
Rooms are older but the beds are very comfortable and the sea view was beautiful. The hotel is right at the centre of Malaga, the best spot to stay at for everyone who wants to make a trip to Malaga and the sights there
Breakfast was from good quality and tasted amazing. Service was fantastic, they thought about everything there and tried their best to make the stay a great experience for us
Excellent hotel location: 5 min walking on the beach through a beautiful promenade
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was a small water leak caused by the air conditioning
Even if you can't stay at the hotel, a visit to their rooftop bar and restaurant is a must, the view of the city is outstanding, and the staff there are incredibly relaxed, friendly, and professional

To be a great breakfast you would need: A few more juice choices, pancakes, waffles. Location was nice related to the bus station. Pool was in shadow which was great for really sunny days. walk to SoHo and the old town
Missing showers by the pool/spa area
My wife and I stayed here for a week. The room was very well taken care of. The hotel stay were very helpful and friendly with us. Break was GREAT with a lot of options
We stayed at the Ilunion Hotel in Malaga for two nights. Generally, the hotel was excellent with a fantastic location. It's within walking distance of all major attractions, shops, and the beach
Stayed for the weekend, the adapted room is big and have enough space to manoeuvre with my powerchair. The wheel in show is big and plenty of space to manoeuvre
I have to say the sink should be bigger, at least so you can have space for your toiletries. As a whhelchair user the shower flexible should be flexible not rigid

Great Hotel, Friendly Staff and very Welcoming. Rooms are excellently presented and Clean. Fantastic Location next to the train station and can get a taxi into the City Center or Marina for 6 Euros
On the final night our flight time the next day was very late but we were able to get extend our room til 6pm for a cost - so worth it as it gave us the full day exploring Malaga and a cool shower at the end
We were very impressed with the efficiency of the staff, cleanliness of the room and the public areas, quality of the food and service at the breakfast
A great way to spend the last few hours before heading back to airport. We will definitely looking up the other Barcelo locations to stay in future too!
Only 20 minutes in a taxi from Airport. Prices at the bar and the City as a whole are very reasonable. Will be returning and booking in at this Hotel
We highly recommend the Barcelo Málaga and look forward to staying there again

Housekeeping including turn down service were extraordinary. Breakfast gets busy but is never crowded and there's enough staff around to serve. Restaurant experience was great and portions at lunch huge
Location is a bit away from the center of the city but close to the beach, which can be plus or minus depending on your preference. For the price I expected better services
Beautiful hotel. Staff were very nice. Lots is amenities. We upgraded our room and it was very nice but the view was not as great as described in the description when we selected the room.
Her dedication made our wedding day not just stress-free, but truly magical. The amenities at the hotel were top-notch. We loved lounging by the stunning pool, which offered a perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the hotel’s fantastic location, which allowed us to easily explore the surrounding area while providing a serene oasis to retreat to after a day of adventures
The on-site restaurant provided an array of delicious dining options, and we especially enjoyed the rooftop. The views were breathtaking, and the ambiance was perfect for celebrating our special occasion

Food trays are only replenished once they are completely empty, so if your timing is off, you might find yourself with limited options—such as the last piece of egg that has been sitting out for a while
Apparently, the A/C doesn't work during the winter season, have to open the window which is very inconvenience since it's noisy outside and sometimes rain
However, towels were provided sparingly, almost as if they were being rationed. Perhaps my expectations were too high for a hotel in this category, but I personally would not choose to stay here again
The soap pump dispensers are very annoying since it pumps out very little amount at a time. Found some mold in the shower grout. The hair dryer was gross and looks like it melted at the tip
The windows were also not very high quality and you could hear outside noise as well. On a positive note, the cleaning staff were prompt and did their best given the circumstances
The walls are thin, can hear people next door. Also, don't bother calling the reception because they won't pick up the phone, not surprising since the front desk are not friendly

When we came back, it still wasn't ready so we went to the indoor pool which is fantastic, not the cleanest but really enjoyable considering the weather outside
The male reception staff who had taken over by then were really lovely, we went to our room on the 6th floor and sadly the AC/heat didn't work, so after 3 maintenance visits we went downstairs to ask to be moved so we could get our clothes dry
We then went back to reception and the same receptionist told us it would be 1 minute and she would come and get us, so we sat for over an hour while other people were checked in
The 2 men on the reception team were wonderful as were the gym staff, it was just sadly let down by both female staff who were really just very dismissive
We were given an absolutely beautiful room on the top floor as a free upgrade, and were extremely grateful for the gesture
Eventually went back over to be told it was ready and we had just been forgotten (sat directly opposite)

Great bed soft linen. Just sorry the breakfast is very average and the pool smells like urine. this should be emptied more regularly. And way too few sunbeds for the amount of people who visits the pool.
Very good hotel. Nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Nice pool and gym. Walking distance to everything in Malaga. We had the suite. Recommended!! Big and really nice.
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Cozy swimming pool with good beds. The restaurant looks good. We did not have dinner or breakfast but it looked very good.
Good proximity to the bus and train stations, the rooms are quite big but they did not change the soap in the bathroom after the first night, which is surprising since it's a 4 star hotel
Excelente location. Great Service. Breakfast Buffet has a wide variety, and is very good. Will return soon. Thank You.
This is a great place. The hotel room was pretty and clean, and so was the rest of the hotel. The gym at the hotel isn't that big, but it's definitely good with a treadmill, bikes, a crosstrainer and dumbbells.

Pleasant affordable stay here would return! Staff were friendly and efficient, rooms were clean and comfortable. It was chilly (early February) so didn't see the pool in action but the rooftop is nice
Found it well situated for city sights, it was 15 min walk to the marina. I definitely recommend the hotel but would like to point out this is in no way an endorsement of the artwork choices?
Needs the rapid closure of their doors to bedrooms and corridor to be adjusted and quietened, as the constant slamming shut, operated the door closure mechanism is too fast, and shuddering
Exceeded expectations for a very nice hotel in the center of Malaga. The room was clean and comfortable, and the team working at the hotel is very hospitable and does a great job
Very central and great hotel. Very clean and very friendly. Breakfast good but cheaper and more authentic right around the corner x
There is some noise, as with any central hotel, to be mindful of if sensitive to that. Would definitely stay here again

Walking distance to everywhere. Airport metro stop directly adjacent. Loads of bus options to literally anywhere (Gibralfaro, El Palo, Port etc) Nice rooms, friendly staff, comfy beds
Very clean, had everything we needed. The view could be better. The hotel is in walking distance from the beach.
Good electric outlets and light switches. Very good lighting concept in the rooms
Good hotel close to the central area and the port in Malaga. Taking the train from the airport to Centro Alameda station is a short walk away. The buffet breakfast is good but no other meals are served.
Good location. Between rail station and the city center. Well maintained big size room. But i did nt like the shower area as there is no bath tub or shower cabin - only just a curtain.
I would say that it is a bit expensive for what it is, but the location is hard to beat if you want to be really close to the city centre and also need to take the Cercanias train

For a 3 star hotel, fantastic! Big rooms, big balconies with sea views, outdoor pool & hot tub, etc! This hotel is right on the beach 🏖️ & only a 5min to the heart of city centre! We used the hotel bikes to fly around the city going for meals, activities, etc
The pool area is small but it was never an issue if you wanted a sun bed, maybe different in peak season though
Great place! Close to the beach and within walking distance to downtown (there is a bus too). My room was big and had a lovely decoration. In the neighborhood you will find restaurants, supermarket…
The personal is nice, the room was OK, it's nice to be close to the beach, on the other hand, it was also very loud because of the main road in the back
Pool bar is good, as were the mojitos :) Our room was made daily and found the hotel to be generally clean and well kept
The breakfast is really good, the pool area as well, only the fence around for safety looks displaced

Wonderful resort, with spacious rooms, and lots if privacy around the resort. Right by the beach, and rooms lead straight onto the green are with sun chairs and pool. Will return next year.
Fantastic parador, always stop over before flying home. Ten minutes from airport, right on beach, great pool and restaurant. Some rooms a little dated but still comfortable
A lovely place located right by the Mediterranean! Rooms are very nice, all with balconies with views of the Mediterranean, a lovely pool and or the golf course
Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. ….comfortable bed…. lovely terrace overlooking the pool. Asked for kettle and came straight away. Good room service. Good receptionist. Very helpful indeed.
Great Hotel, easy to reach as close to the airport. Stayed for a night after a late arrival and everything from check-in to checkout next day went smooth. Free, covered parking.
The breakfast buffet is a highlight! Parking is no problem, service is generally very good

I also liked the overall atmosphere of the hotel and wished I had taken some time to relax in the courtyard. There's a roof top with a small pool and some tables and chairs as well
The hotel is very modern, cool and comfortable. It's also in a great location to explore the old town. We loved this place and we would definitely return. We 100% highly recommend this wonderful boutique hotel
The pool area is nice although can get busy with decking sections quite narrow. Staff very friendly and happy to help in every way to make your stay enjoyable
Also, although the windows are new, and there are no late night bars close by, since this part of town is always busy, you'll hear people walking past, restaurant staff putting away or moving around equipment and other sounds (including buses and lorries passing by on the street on the opposite side of the building) pretty much 24/7
However, we booked a room with a balcony that was facing the backstreets and due to it being on the second floor, it was rather dark inside, which wouldn't be too much of an issue were there more lights
There are also lots of nice coffeeshops, brunch spots and bakeries nearby which are great if you do not fancy eating breakfast at the hotel everyday

The room was lovely and bright and spacious we had a little balcony but there is a lovely roof top terrace with a pool and sun loungers, it also had onsite parking for €15 a day. The staff were super friendly and helpful
A basic hotel. But very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location perfect near to beach and port
Nice and simple hotel, very friendly staff. The hotel pool is minimal but really does the job. We were also allowed to stay at the pool after check out, which was really great.
Nice and helpful personnel. Breakfast worth of money. Rooms quite moderate but clean and nice wiev to sea.
Our experience was just great, just what we ask about a hotel - great location, not too expensive, clean and nice rooms, friendly! Definitely can be recommended - just walk to any place in Malaga!
Basic rooms at a low cost. Clean and well equipped , good shower, including fridge. Desk staff very helpful. Walking distance to many attractions. Parking in parking garage available for 15 EU.

Great reception and service. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated and fresh. Bed and pillows super comfortable. Excellent location and great views from the roof top bar. Totally recommend
Brilliant that they have a pool on the roof. Have only great things to say. Highly recommend this hotel one of the European gems if you like travelling around Europe
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. My husband and I stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon. After what was turning out to be a failure of a honeymoon, this hotel made up for it
I had a great week staying here and am looking forward to revisit soon. This is to Maria Belén, Javi, Eduardo, Josan, Estrella, the rooftop bar team and the rest of the staff I met during my stay
This is a great hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are amazing. They give you a lot of extras. The location is right near all the shops. I hope to stay here again.
This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Definitely worth paying the extra for the port view. Having the breakfast is very convenient but there are many bars and cafes nearby

Absolutely brilliant location right in the old town. Great rooftop bar and pool (although the pool is a bit chilly) with stunning views of the cathedral and port. Staff is very friendly and helpful
Fantastic hotel in an amazing location! All staff were super friendly and accommodating, would recommend 100%. I didn't spend a lot of time on the rooftop patio, but it was pretty cool.
Lovely hotel with a great rooftop pool and bar. Ground floor bar and terrace very nice too. Very comfy bed and great breakfast.
Absolutely loved this hotel with its perfect location in the old part of town. The reception staff were always helpful and check in was quick. Our room was spot-less, clean and comfy
Given how hot it was we picked the hotel for the rooftop pool, which is smaller than it looks in the photos but a good enough cooling-down haven and picturesque rooftop terrace. Very friendly and helpful staff!!
We had a small balcony and doors which looked down on the busy road but we were not troubled by the noise at all. We went to the roof bar and had cocktails overlooking the port

My family stayed here February 2022 on a B&B basis. The hotel is in a decent location 15 minutes walked to the town centre and close to the beach. Rooms were spot on and the quality of the breakfast was good
Nice hotel with a great location close to the old town and close to the harbour area. Spacy clean rooms and the staff is all very kind and helpful
Breakfast is served at the in-house cafe Julieta that offer a selection of freshly made and tasteful menus
We would return to this hotel if we re-visit Malaga
The electricity got cut off 6 times while I was there, and 3 times of those were in the middle of the night, and along with the electricity cut, the generator was on with super bright light in the room which obviously wakes you up from deep sleep
Rooms super tiny, Shower is almost impossible to get into (if you’re on the heavy side, you definitely won’t be able to access the shower) AC directed at the bed so it was uncomfortable to sleep with the AC on, and too hot when the AC is off

Fabulous rooms with ice cold air conditioning . Very clean and superb comfortable bed. Easy walk to beach and lots of lovely restaurants . Bus stop outside and easy access to Malaga old town . Staff all lovely friendly .
Such a great hotel in a perfect location. Staff were lovely (we only spoke Spanish). Rooms quiet thanks to new windows, showers had great water pressure
Perfect if u want to be outside the rush and busy district of malaga. Close by the beach, nice and cosy rooms and especially a perfect price! Very friendly staff en for 10 euros for a taxi u are in the center of malaga.
I spent 10 days in Andalusia, travelling around and this is the only place where I had a good sleep. The bed is really comfortable and the room is very silent. Close by the beach and restaurants
Parking close by helped as well - would return again. Minutes from the beach and very close to the centre
Lovely little hotel in a great location. Bus stop just outside the door and a 2 minute walk to the beach, bars, restaurants etc. Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

An amazing hotel! The hotel is right up a small hill from the beach. The room are spacious and looks really modern. It’s clean and the service is great. Only downside is very bad parking space in the streets
Clean, calm and rather comfortable, situated in a small town about 15 minutes by bus from downtown Málaga. Perfect if all you need is a place to sleep
The breakfast is not worth the price in my opinion, but there are some good places close by that serve breakfast daily, at a better price
