Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean, spacious and have huge comfortable beds. The breakfast has a huge range of cooked food and cereals, along with an omelette station. The hotel has a rooftop bar and pool which is a great place to chill out (or rather get sunburnt). Stayed here twice and the only slight downside is getting into the town but its only a few Euros and the taxi rank is next door, so no problems there.

We were given a room with a door in between ours and another room. It was locked but the other room happened to have really loud guests and the door was absolutely not soundproof like advertised. We could hear their exact words and it did not feel like we paid for a private room at all.
The rooftop is made to seem much larger in the photos than in reality. I will admit we came during a very peak period however the pool was very small and there were a lot of children, allowing no room to swim.
I tried to make use of the changing rooms and found that there was no lock on the shower door or the changing room door. Also, when I ran the water it came out brown for a while as if it hadn’t been used in a long time.
The room design is very nice and the staff are very polite. It is very well located, right above the train station, however it is not right in town where the main tourist sites are (however it doesn’t advertise to be).

Friendliest most accommodating staff of any hotel I’ve stayed at! They are so wonderful! Food was great and the pool is a nice extra. Beds are extremely comfortable! Strong shower pressure and clean rooms.

Lovely hotel next to Málaga train station. Stayed here for 2 nights in February. Staff were very friendly and helpful when we arrived early for our room. Rooms and bar areas were spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good and had a great selection of fresh fruit, pastries, omelettes and drinks. Even some bubbly for a morning mimosa. Would stay here again

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. All the facilities I needed were there. The rooms were of a good size; the bathroom was nice. From our balcony we could see the sea in the distance. The hotel is located right next to the train station. It is a 20-25 minute walk from the center of the city. Breakfast was excellent.

Wow! So glad we chose here. Stayed for a night before and after a villa break for my sisters wedding. On the final night our flight time the next day was very late but we were able to get extend our room til 6pm for a cost - so worth it as it gave us the full day exploring Malaga and a cool shower at the end. All staff very friendly and helpful. Bar area very relaxing and location is amazing. There’s even a little exit direct to train station which has lots of good shops and food. A great way to spend the last few hours before heading back to airport. We will definitely looking up the other Barcelo locations to stay in future too!

They allowed us to check in early and we really appreciated that after traveling. They also gave us a great room near the beautiful, sunny rooftop terrace which we enjoyed immensely. The staff was terrific-from the front desk personnel to the woman who guided us to the closest beach. They printed off our train tickets and made sure we took them with us. The hotel also has a very nice bar and outdoor area on the main floor. I highly recommend this hotel and its convenience connected to the train station and mall next door.

The rooms are large, very clean and nicely decorated. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The location is very good. I had a nice surprise on the day of my birthday: the manager had a bottle of champagne brought to our room with a cake! I will certainly go back to this hotel where I have stayed in the past. It is my favorite hotel in Málaga and I will recommend it to friends without hesitation.

The hotel itself is good with nice rooms and service-minded straff and delicious breakfast.
The big downside is the restaurant with a bit rude staff and had to pay 20€ for a meal that was literally the size of a finger.. Never paid so much for so little before..

Fabulous location, right beside the Málaga María Zambrano Train Station
Train station. There is even a special side entrance for guests! The staff were all welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was spectacular, a great start to the day. The slide from the 1st floor was a great novelty! This is our second time staying at a Barcelo, we will definitely return.
