Beach was only 10min from the hotel, easy access with taxis/ubers. People working there are very professional and organized. 5/5 would recommend this place, food was amazing at the pool as well! Everything was fresh

Rooms are older but the beds are very comfortable and the sea view was beautiful. The hotel is right at the centre of Malaga, the best spot to stay at for everyone who wants to make a trip to Malaga and the sights there

Breakfast was from good quality and tasted amazing. Service was fantastic, they thought about everything there and tried their best to make the stay a great experience for us

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was a small water leak caused by the air conditioning

Even if you can't stay at the hotel, a visit to their rooftop bar and restaurant is a must, the view of the city is outstanding, and the staff there are incredibly relaxed, friendly, and professional

To be a great breakfast you would need: A few more juice choices, pancakes, waffles. Location was nice related to the bus station. Pool was in shadow which was great for really sunny days. walk to SoHo and the old town

My wife and I stayed here for a week. The room was very well taken care of. The hotel stay were very helpful and friendly with us. Break was GREAT with a lot of options

We stayed at the Ilunion Hotel in Malaga for two nights. Generally, the hotel was excellent with a fantastic location. It's within walking distance of all major attractions, shops, and the beach

Stayed for the weekend, the adapted room is big and have enough space to manoeuvre with my powerchair. The wheel in show is big and plenty of space to manoeuvre

I have to say the sink should be bigger, at least so you can have space for your toiletries. As a whhelchair user the shower flexible should be flexible not rigid

Great Hotel, Friendly Staff and very Welcoming. Rooms are excellently presented and Clean. Fantastic Location next to the train station and can get a taxi into the City Center or Marina for 6 Euros

On the final night our flight time the next day was very late but we were able to get extend our room til 6pm for a cost - so worth it as it gave us the full day exploring Malaga and a cool shower at the end

We were very impressed with the efficiency of the staff, cleanliness of the room and the public areas, quality of the food and service at the breakfast

A great way to spend the last few hours before heading back to airport. We will definitely looking up the other Barcelo locations to stay in future too!

Only 20 minutes in a taxi from Airport. Prices at the bar and the City as a whole are very reasonable. Will be returning and booking in at this Hotel

Good hotel near the train station, about 15min walk from city center. Nice clean and personal is very charm but dont have restaurant,,,, just a room menu but very simple.

Beautiful hotel in central Malaga. I recommend you book online: online the room was €105 and breakfast was included- they said they would finish my booking for me when I arrived & it cost €165, breakfast NOT included!

The internet connection take ages to connect and once in on is that slow that I have to use my mobile data just to open the email inbox, no mention about surf in the net

Friendly staff and reallotjar good breackfast, but if you want to connect your devices to WiFi or work using internet or even a simple Skype, forget about it

Housekeeping including turn down service were extraordinary. Breakfast gets busy but is never crowded and there's enough staff around to serve. Restaurant experience was great and portions at lunch huge

Location is a bit away from the center of the city but close to the beach, which can be plus or minus depending on your preference. For the price I expected better services

Beautiful hotel. Staff were very nice. Lots is amenities. We upgraded our room and it was very nice but the view was not as great as described in the description when we selected the room.

Food trays are only replenished once they are completely empty, so if your timing is off, you might find yourself with limited options—such as the last piece of egg that has been sitting out for a while

Apparently, the A/C doesn't work during the winter season, have to open the window which is very inconvenience since it's noisy outside and sometimes rain

However, towels were provided sparingly, almost as if they were being rationed. Perhaps my expectations were too high for a hotel in this category, but I personally would not choose to stay here again

The soap pump dispensers are very annoying since it pumps out very little amount at a time. Found some mold in the shower grout. The hair dryer was gross and looks like it melted at the tip

The windows were also not very high quality and you could hear outside noise as well. On a positive note, the cleaning staff were prompt and did their best given the circumstances

The walls are thin, can hear people next door. Also, don't bother calling the reception because they won't pick up the phone, not surprising since the front desk are not friendly

We visited Malaga and stayed overnight before catching our plane in the morning. Astoria is well located close to the train station and near the pier. The room was clean and the price really good

The staff was very helpful and promptly solved our problem with our booking which did appear in their agoda system. Wi-Fi connectivity was also good. I would definitely recommend this hotel

The receptionist were super nice suggesting us where to eat. Location top 5 minutes from the center very modern room

Also, some rooms don't have access to a window to the outside sunlight, so if you are someone that needs that to wake up, make sure to check or ask before booking. I personally don't and was fine, but others might not be

Decent hotel, conveniently located in the city center and a short walk from the central train station. Rooms were a bit small and a little old but were exceptionally clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Great price for location and the room. I loved the big closet space and the light switches that control all lights right beside the bed. But I want a big fan of the strong perfume in the hallways

When we came back, it still wasn't ready so we went to the indoor pool which is fantastic, not the cleanest but really enjoyable considering the weather outside

The male reception staff who had taken over by then were really lovely, we went to our room on the 6th floor and sadly the AC/heat didn't work, so after 3 maintenance visits we went downstairs to ask to be moved so we could get our clothes dry

We then went back to reception and the same receptionist told us it would be 1 minute and she would come and get us, so we sat for over an hour while other people were checked in

The 2 men on the reception team were wonderful as were the gym staff, it was just sadly let down by both female staff who were really just very dismissive

We were given an absolutely beautiful room on the top floor as a free upgrade, and were extremely grateful for the gesture

Eventually went back over to be told it was ready and we had just been forgotten (sat directly opposite)

Great bed soft linen. Just sorry the breakfast is very average and the pool smells like urine. this should be emptied more regularly. And way too few sunbeds for the amount of people who visits the pool.

Good proximity to the bus and train stations, the rooms are quite big but they did not change the soap in the bathroom after the first night, which is surprising since it's a 4 star hotel

This is a great place. The hotel room was pretty and clean, and so was the rest of the hotel. The gym at the hotel isn't that big, but it's definitely good with a treadmill, bikes, a crosstrainer and dumbbells.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. The setting, rooms, bar, and pool area were all beautiful. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The cocktails were amazing- such care and attention at great prices

Professional and welcoming staff. Great location about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Malaga. Reasonably priced. Unfortunately it was too early in the season to use the roof top terrace bar and pool - maybe next time.

The location is great but the best part is the rooftop pool / bar. The gin menu is great and huge measures. Rooms are OK, comfortable but this is a city hotel so no balconies and rooms are quite small

Needs the rapid closure of their doors to bedrooms and corridor to be adjusted and quietened, as the constant slamming shut, operated the door closure mechanism is too fast, and shuddering

a new beautifully done beach hotel with spectacular ocean views,,,a knowledgable helpful staff at the desk and on the floors above,,,,an extra arm chair or a large baggage table ??,,, just ask,,,,,a 12 euro cab ride to airport or mid town,,and it doesnt hurt that yur digs are directly across the street from the best seafood beach resturant for 20 miles,,it has 4 pages on google,,plus a half block walk...

Great Location near the sea (just cross the street) The center is arround 4 km away but easy to reach taxis stand is in front the hotel, a ride is aprox. 7 Euros to the Center. Breakfast is very tasty!

Great place and service, located in a privileged beach area, and also close to a parc infected with mosquitoes. No worries, ask for a mosquito repellent plug-in at the reception desk and all good from there

You can spot this in the rooms (especially the bathrooms). On the up side, staff is helpful, breakfast is amazing and it's proximity to the beach make it a good choice for holiday goers

Walking distance to everywhere. Airport metro stop directly adjacent. Loads of bus options to literally anywhere (Gibralfaro, El Palo, Port etc) Nice rooms, friendly staff, comfy beds

Good hotel close to the central area and the port in Malaga. Taking the train from the airport to Centro Alameda station is a short walk away. The buffet breakfast is good but no other meals are served.

Good location. Between rail station and the city center. Well maintained big size room. But i did nt like the shower area as there is no bath tub or shower cabin - only just a curtain.

I would say that it is a bit expensive for what it is, but the location is hard to beat if you want to be really close to the city centre and also need to take the Cercanias train

I liked almost everything about this hotel. Toilet is bigger including a very spacious shower cabin. This is a big and very well known hotel and every taxi I took in my visit, the driver knows the location of the hotel

Though it is not in the city centre nor closer to the beach, the location is quite convenient for travelling to the important attractions very easily. Many tourist attractions can be covered by foot

The staff here were a great help when my partner took ill. On a more tourist note the hotel is perfectly located. Most attractions are within easy walking distance. The rooms are perfectly adequate and very clean

A great position just on the edge of the town. Just walk across the river and your in the town. Room was better than other IBIS hotels I've stayed in with all necessities. The bed was comfortable with an extra topper

Used this hotel for a long weekend away with friends. Spacious clean room with comfortable bed and very functional bathroom. Convenient location for the old town and also the metro station for the airport

15-20 min walking to the beach. Our view was so nice, across the apartments. Room was not too spacious however enough for 2 people. Inside the building is so quiet and calm and euphotic

The location of the hotel is just perfect, everything is within walking distance (beach, promenade, good restaurants and shopping places). We came to the hotel unexpectedly and will definitely come back

What I will oddly point out that we liked about this hotel was that besides how fantastic the rooms were, we arrived very early to our hotel because of a late flight(2:30am) and we were greeted warmly by the receptionist who was very kind and helpful

Great location, about 10 minutes walk from the old center and 15 minutes from the beach (La Malagueta). Also very close to the bus station. The city view room was very nice; cleaning was done every day

Breakfast was good, a bit of everything, fresh fruit juices (not commercial like other locations). Nothing to complain about! I will definitely choose the Hotel ICON MALABAR the next time I come to Malaga!

The room was clean, spacious enough for two people, and very nicely decorated. It had small balconies if you need fresh air. The service was amazing, the receptionist were all very helpful

For a 3 star hotel, fantastic! Big rooms, big balconies with sea views, outdoor pool & hot tub, etc! This hotel is right on the beach 🏖️ & only a 5min to the heart of city centre! We used the hotel bikes to fly around the city going for meals, activities, etc

The pool area is small but it was never an issue if you wanted a sun bed, maybe different in peak season though

Spacious room and bathroom, loved the firm mattress on our bed. Only gripe is that the soundproofing is not great and since the corridors are marble floors and the rooms wooden flooring sound tends to travel

Old style hotel, great location and does the trick. I booked this place quite last minute and didn't expect much. The place you can tell is very old school and facility was a bit old too

Wonderful resort, with spacious rooms, and lots if privacy around the resort. Right by the beach, and rooms lead straight onto the green are with sun chairs and pool. Will return next year.

Fantastic parador, always stop over before flying home. Ten minutes from airport, right on beach, great pool and restaurant. Some rooms a little dated but still comfortable

Great Hotel, easy to reach as close to the airport. Stayed for a night after a late arrival and everything from check-in to checkout next day went smooth. Free, covered parking.
