We just came back from 5 days in Mallorca and we really loved our hotel. Staff was amazing, from reception, to bar, to breakfast, it’s one of the biggest plus, always attentive and with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Quite central, would reach city centre / beach (Cala major where all restaurants and bars are) in less than 10 min walk. We didn’t use it but bus stop is within a short walk (that takes you to old town ). Pool was very decent, restaurant food was very good for a hotel, we actually ended up eating there several times during our stay. Breakfast was great, great selection, all staff great but Samuel had great energy and made “life-saving” omeletes every day! Room wise, really comfy bed, quite big, balcony was decent size, if anything less positive to say is just the general housekeeping happened a bit late in the day, but assuming because we went October that hotel is not as staffed as high season, so completely understandable. Had a great time!

I don’t understand how this hotel is 4 stars? The rooms are dated and the beds are squeaky. The curtains are thin and let daylight shine into room making it difficult to sleep longer. It definitely does not feel like the stars are real. It is located quite far from Palma centro and buses only run till midnight. I wanted to check out late but was told there is a 50€ surcharge for this even in low season! Nevertheless, I did check out an hour late for free. I would not come back to this hotel, there are many better options around!

The hotel is in a good area, the breakfast is particularly rich, and the service from the reception staff is very good. However, the rooms are not in the best condition, especially the bathroom. To begin with, the rooms are quite small, and there are no places where you can hang a towel or anything else to dry. Nevertheless, on the balcony door there is a sign saying that nothing should be hung outside. But where are we supposed to dry our clothes when we return from the beach? Mallorca is a summer destination.Also, overpriced for 200+ euros per night.

Hotel Joan has been a pleasant stay for a group of four girls ( in our late 20s). We stayed in 2 double bedrooms for 4 nights.
Rooms were clean, air conned and a good size. They provided slippers and clean towels each day. There was also shampoo and body wash. The beds were clean and comfy and we were also provided with TVs in each room.
There is a mini bar which charges at a fair price ( €2.80 euro for Fanta/ coke ETC).
Breakfast was excellent !! A great mixture of continental ( yogurt, fruit, veg, bread, cakes, pastries) and cooked ( pancakes, fresh omelette, sausages, bacon etc). There was also a coffee machine and lots of alternative milk options which was great.
There is also a bar and restaurant available throughout the day. We got the club sandwich on one of the days which was delicious and a good price.
Sadly, there was a strong smell of sewage that came in waves throughout the day / night coming from a vent. The rest of the hotel was fresh and did not appear a problem. We asked the staff if they could help with this which they said they would take a look at however it did not seem to go. We were able to continue staying , however the smell was quite off putting.
Despite this staff were amazing and kind, and the pool and gym were kept in excellent condition. Despite it being summer holidays there was plenty of space to sunbathe and the pool never felt too busy.

This is a very nice hotel. The team is really attentive and patient (shout out to Samuel, the breakfasts show cooker, always a smile on his face and overall a sunshining person). The breakfast was one of the best I was given to try, very good omelets and quite a big variety of products to choose from.
The AC in the room is a really good point, and you can change the temperature as you please.
We did rent a car through the hotels service and it all went great.
Overall a really nice experience, even though we do have to say that the house keeping was not always at its best (we did have to ask them to vacuum because they had not done it for the entire stay), but nothing horrible really.

I went there for my honeymoon. The view of the beach was great and the service was very satisfying. The pool and gym were also very large and easy to use.

Good basic hotel that is 15-20 minutes away from the Palma city centre. The hotel provides a daily morning shuttle to the city centre.
Cala major beach was a 10 minute walk away which was pristine! The hotel provides beach towels.

The food was served cold even if you went down early. I asked for my food to be warmed up and after half an hour I was told they threw it away. There were flies around the food and so overall paying £12 each morning for this quality was not great. There were stains on the pillow cases and hairs on the towels. It’s quite far from all the main places you may goto and the surrounding area is quite broken down and ruins the vibe and look of the place. We paid for a premium room but it seemed to be a standard. Experiences racism and rude remarks and looks.i didn’t remember to take pictures of everything but overall my experience in Mallorca was disappointing and I had a bad experience. Despite this some employees were helpful and kind.

Location. There is a small beach nearby which is very nice but there is not much else to do nearby at least when we went in late February which is off season.

When I paid I’m sure I picked a room with a Mountain View but got a room looking over the street. Not a big deal though as we didn’t spend much time in the room.
