We stayed for a week, full board, at the end of September 2024. We had intended going out to attractions in the area, but thanks to the cold wet summer, most had closed early this year and we ended up staying in the hotel complex for most of the week. We still had an amazing time, making full use of the outdoor pools, spacious sun soaked poolside lounging facilities, 3 great water slides, for anyone who meets the minimum height requirement, wonderful dining rooms with spectacular food and a not at all intrusive, yet still busy entertainment team.
We don’t drink, so I can’t comment on the drinks, other than to say the bars seemed to be doing good business, both inside the building and poolside. For the strenuous visitors, there’s a full gym, with various exercise machines, which we (thankfully!) only discovered on our last night.
I can’t imagine why this wonderful hotel only warrants 3 stars. It’s hard to imagine what they could possibly do better, to earn another. We can’t wait to go back.

Where do I start, the hotel itself is clean.

We hired a mobility scooter through the hotel this went smoothly until it came to parking the scooter up.

We weren’t told we’re we could park or couldn’t park - we collected the scooter from another building and we’re told to leave it there which was fine, parked the scooter up the first night next morning the scooter was gone nowhere to be found, went to reception they told us they sent it back to the shop because we weren’t allowed to leave it where we left it ( exactly the same spot they had put it)

Asked the manager to show us where to keep it which he did was great we knew where to put it each night, we went to park it up after being out and the door to the building was locked so went to reception again and it was a different manager on, he said the door gets locked at 12 and we would need to leave it elsewhere he showed us where to leave it as we were unable to access the disabled ramp due to the door blocking this and not being able to get past the door with the scooter.

Went down in the morning the scooter was gone again, the first manager advised it had been sent back again as was left in the wrong place although we couldn’t access the building it was meant to go in and the manager told us to leave it there!

When asked for the managers name as we were looking to raise a complaint he told us if we wanted to complain we could pack our things and leave!

The food is disgusting, freezing cold and the same throughout all 3 restaurants. The food in the outside restaurant is covered in flies and nothing in place to prevent this (no food covers) the staff on the bar would rather serve Spanish guests and would walk away from you whilst serving and not return.

The entertainment was catered for Spanish only and they spoke very little English.

The staff did not make us feel welcome and made it very clear they didn’t want us to be there.

We left the sign on the door asking not to be disturbed, my partner was in the shower and our child was napping, despite this sign being up the cleaner decided to walk in to our room without knocking, when asked to leave they were very insistent on coming in.

The second time we left the sign on the door again they took it upon themselves to enter.

We have a child with additional needs and sometimes they need their quiet space without someone they don’t know walking in.

Would not recommend staying here at all

During my stay at a hotel in Barcelona, I found the rooms to be quite ordinary, with two beds arranged side by side to accommodate four people. Considering the city's typically hot weather, I decided to opt for a half-board package. However, I discovered that unless you choose an all-inclusive option, even basic amenities such as bottled water came at an additional cost, which seemed a little expensive. Surprisingly, it was cheaper to buy beer than water. Given the hotel's size and bustling atmosphere, it would have been beneficial if they had considered providing a few complimentary bottles of water each day.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am greatly saddened to express our deep disappointment and growing concern regarding the experience my family and I have encountered during our stay at your hotel. What began as a pleasant visit has sadly deteriorated due to a series of unfortunate incidents that have greatly affected our comfort and overall enjoyment of our stay.

Each morning, in line with what other guests seem to be doing, we have been placing our towels on the deck chairs to reserve them for my disabled mother and my special needs son, as they require special accommodations. This morning, however, after returning from breakfast, we discovered that our towels had been removed. A fellow guest informed us that security had taken the towels and placed them near a bin by the lifeguard station. When I inquired with the lifeguard, we were unable to find our towels. These towels are not just ordinary items; they hold great sentimental value for my son, providing him with comfort and familiarity.

After this distressing discovery, I approached the reception to address the issue. I specifically asked to speak with the hotel manager, but was instead directed to the reception manager, Carlos. Unfortunately, my conversation with Carlos was extremely disappointing. From the outset, he was defensive, dismissive, and refused to acknowledge that the hotel might bear any responsibility for what had occurred. I calmly explained that our towels had gone missing after being removed by security, to which Carlos responded that security should have left a label on the chairs—a label that I confirmed was never there.

Despite my repeated attempts to escalate the matter, Carlos flatly refused to elevate my complaint to anyone else or allow me to speak with the hotel manager. Shockingly, he suggested that I should call the police rather than escalate the issue further within the hotel. This response was not only dismissive but also deeply frustrating, especially considering the distress this situation has caused my special needs son, who was particularly attached to those towels, and the discomfort it has brought to my disabled mother.

This incident, combined with a similarly poor experience at your Italian restaurant last night, has significantly marred our stay. When I politely requested to view the inside of the restaurant and the food to determine if it was suitable for my family’s needs, the restaurant manager rudely declined and simply stated, “It’s pizza and pasta!” This curt response left us feeling unwelcome, and we chose to eat elsewhere.

My son is particularly distressed, having lost his favorite towels—a yellow Ronaldo towel and a blue Sonic the Hedgehog towel—both of which were of great sentimental value to him. Their loss has negatively impacted his ability to enjoy the remainder of our stay.

Despite these incidents, I want to emphasize that we have had otherwise positive interactions with many of your staff members, who have been extremely kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the treatment we received from Carlos and the restaurant manager has overshadowed these positive experiences. It is disheartening to see the efforts of your dedicated staff undermined by the actions and attitudes of senior members of your team.

I am requesting the opportunity to meet with you personally before our departure on the 19th to discuss this matter further. I sincerely hope we can find a resolution that will restore our faith in your establishment and allow us to conclude our stay on a more positive note.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

Sincerely,

me and my boyfriend stayed here for our first holiday a couple of weeks ago. before going when we was reading all these mixed reviews we wasn’t sure what to expect. when we got there it was a MASSIVE queue for check in,but luckily managed to get through it within 30-40 mins. rooms become available to you at 3pm. the look of the hotel was very appealing and they did keep it very clean, especially the rooms. our first night for dinner we tried all the restaurants and by far the italian was the worst food we have ever had, with the other restaurants they just served the same food every night. breakfast was the best for the food. staff was quite rude and we could tell instantly they hated the english. they had some good entertainment on at night and the animation crew was great. overall we had such a lovely holiday and we could sleep well at night but i don’t think we would come back to this hotel. however the bright side is that it’s not even a 5 minute walk to the strip of shops so it was a perfect location.

For a 3* hotel we're happy to rate our stay 5* out of 5* and would be happy to return.
Very enjoyable and suitable for families with small children.
Rooms are kept very clean, spacious enough with a small mini fridge & safe.
Meals are buffet style with good and plenty of choices.
The TV has some English channels and most importantly the Disney channel is Dual language and can be switched to English.
The internet requires a sign in with your details, the speed is poor, but good enough for messaging apps and to pre-download on streaming apps over time.
The poolside rooms get sun during the day, but also get the noise from the entertainment area until 11pm, the outside facing rooms are a little quieter, but get less sun on the balcony.
Entertainment provided for children throughout the day and evening shows.
Everything works via the hotel bracelets (doors, gates & entry into dining rooms, etc), which you can load up with money to make purchases or card payment only accepted within the hotel.

Overall the stay was good. My friends and I only booked the room with no additional food.
The pool outside is great with multiple sun beds still available. The indoor heated pool is worth going to if you have a hard time acclimating to water.
They constantly have events on which makes me regret the fact I missed out on bingo.
Communication with the staff wasn’t hard however we do have a Spanish speaking friend which was able to converse with the staff for us.
As this is a family hotel aiming for parents with children, it can get very loud. Some parents don’t watch over their children and end up yelling at them.
Overall hotel was good for the price however other guests will be loud.

We loved it

Well, where to start, we get what we pay for...or sometimes less. In terms of infrastructure, the hotel itself is large and has good space. However the rooms are dated, and the toilet so... The bathtub didn't drain properly, so the baths were always pool type lol. In terms of hygiene, it wasn't the best either, with the pillowcase dirty and it was only changed after 4 days. In terms of food, I would say it was the lowest point. The food didn't vary and was of low quality, favoring fried foods and fats. They could offer things of low quality but at least well made. The grills were inedible in terms of flavor. The grill/plate shouldn't be clean or anything. The best was the ice cream... Because they weren't made there. Anyway, the cheap sometimes comes out expensive. Another point was the apparent lack of training of employees, who made a lot of noise, throwing chairs and banging dishes and the like. There were more decibels in those dining rooms than in some clubs...

A hotel that has teenagers catered for. So delighted we chose this hotel for our last night in Salou & will definitely back again.
Only downside was the lack of sunbeds available for the amount of guests. Pool very popular from early morning onwards.
