Hotel Best Cap Salou

The negative comments are not fair. The description of the hotel that you find on booking is true and fits the reality. First of all you must understand where you are going, it is a 3 star hotel without luxuries. It meets the basic requirements of having a good bed, clean, air conditioning and a full buffet. DO NOT expect quality food, it is buffet food, varied and of standard quality. You should also know that if you do not have small children it is NOT worth coming. There are other better options. The strong point of the hotel is its pool with slides, but it is NOT a water park. Also the space for hammocks is small, but small children (especially up to 3/4 years) will be delighted. There is also a normal pool and access to a small beach to swim in the sea. To go to Salou you need a taxi or bus. It is in a quiet area 15-20 minutes from the center (bus). In short, your small children will like it, and you can spend a few days on vacation. The staff is friendly. I recommend booking parking (+15€/day).

Beautiful views, fine clean sand, a cozy bay and enough space on the beach.

The rooms are quite cozy, for 4 person was a plenty of room. In the room was a hairdryer, bedclothes were changed every three days, towels each day, in a toilet there wasn't an extractor hood, as a result, the air in the bathroom was constantly humid and poorly ventilated. The corridors are covered with old, worn-out carpet.

It's good that there is a swimming pool with slides for different ages on the territory.

Not a bad place but sometimes some things needed more cleanliness, for example a terrace or carpet in a hotel or chairs in a living room.

A holiday above expectations! It was the first time in Salou and the first time at the Best Cap Salou hotel, we had seen from the photos how beautiful the structure was, but in person it is even more so. We spent 8 nights in this magnificent place together with our child, we can say that the structure has everything, nothing is missing. From the swimming pools with slides and games for both adults and children, to the open pool and the indoor thermal pool that we really appreciated in the "cooler" hours, to the immediate access to the small and private beach below where we spent magnificent moments, from the beach the view is truly unique and the sunset wonderful! There is a bar/bathroom in both pool areas and it was very convenient for us with our child to always have the possibility of having a drink or food. The restaurant area is large and beautiful, there is an outdoor terrace with sea view where we loved having dinner and lunch. The food is always varied, quality and in abundance. As well as the drinks, we loved the Sangria most of all. Truly delicious. Still on the subject of food, there is a restaurant downstairs that is only open on certain evenings, even more exclusive and private, where we spent dinner for our son's birthday. In this regard, we cannot fail to mention Sandra, the lady who takes care of reservations for this restaurant. Speaking of which, we mentioned to her that it would be the dinner to celebrate our son's birthday. What we received was incredible, the reserved table in the center of the room with balloons and decorations, taken care of down to the smallest detail, even the number 2 candle for our son. It was an immense joy. Estevan, the manager, welcomed us into the room with absolute professionalism, cordiality and hospitality, we felt truly happy. Mariel and Damaris brought the cake with the candle and sang the song "Happy Birthday" for our son. In short, a welcome like few others and for us a unique moment to keep in our hearts. The mini club managed by equally fantastic guys, especially Melis (if that's how you write it), very nice and super loving with the children, as well as the entertainment evenings, a truly appreciated touch of relaxation and fun. The cleaning of the rooms is equally efficient and fast, returning from breakfast the room was already fragrant and clean, in super order. At the reception as well as at the bar the staff was always welcoming and helpful. What struck us most was all the staff, their professionalism, their kindness and their always working hard to give customers the best and always with a smile on their lips. Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday an unforgettable holiday. We recommend everyone to stay at Best Cap Salou, it is a truly unique hotel.

As another reviewer has said earlier, a lot of the negative reviews are largely unfair and more to do with people's unrealistic expectations. It's a three star hotel with a water splash park that is an attractive destination for families with young kids. If you want luxury and a tranquil holiday then this hotel isn't for you! The hotel and their staff copes remarkably well with the sheer volume of families. The rooms were cleaned daily, well maintained with a working fridge and air-conditioning. The staff were courteous and polite. We went half board (breakfast and dinner) - the food while not high end gourmet was of a high standard, a good variety and fully met what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel. The pool areas were cleaned every morning but with that number of kids in factor 50 - it was bound to get a bit murky as the say went on. Really liked the location as it is more chilled than Salou and the little beach attached to the hotel was really nice. There is also frequent buses to Salou, Park Adventura, Tarragona and Barcelona if needed. Had a good holiday and our young son especially enjoyed it.

First time being in Salou.
I went with my sister's and nephew. Nephew loved the both pools especially the the one with the slides and the little arcade they had by the 2nd pool by the bar. Great food different choices each day as well. We had half board so we ate at breakfast and dinner. Room was good but definitely could do with some updating. The room was cleaned everyday my the cleaners which was nice also.

Excellent value for money at Best Cap Salou. We were unsure due to the mixed reviews but it has surpassed our expectations. The food is good quality and always plenty of choice, especially breakfast, fruits and salads are always fresh.
The swimming pools are excellent and there is some all inclusive options available at the kids pool including soft drinks, beer and coffee.
Excellent service the staff are all friendly and polite. Eliana was exceptional with our little boy.
The only improvement for us would be the rooms - air con in May would have made it more comfortable and the balconies are a little bit dangerous for under 2s.

Great hotel, a lot of foods to choose from during the meals and the pools are great, but the WiFi doesn't really work and the beach isn't the cleanest but it isn't bad. There's nothing really around the closest area to the hotel, only a few shops and restaurants, but nothing really interesting, but you can use a bus to get to other places like Salou, Tarragona or even Barcelona. The hotel is very kid-friendly and it can be a bit loud, especially in the pools area

If there were no British people that are extremely Loud and st… we could have enjoyed it better. People that come here are mostly British… never ever i will go in a hotel with British. I think its better to make something like adults only „British not Allowed „

This hotel is unfairly underrated!
Before checking in, we read the reviews and were afraid that they were true. But we did not encounter any rowdy Englishmen at the hotel, no broken glass on the beach, or rude staff.
The staff is friendly, the hotel area is cleaned every morning (despite the fact that some guests leave heaps of trash behind them), the quality and variety of food is excellent!
We had a couple of comments (clogged sink and missing shampoo in the room): after contacting the reception, the problems were fixed within an hour.
Of the minuses: missing hood in the toilet (there is simply no ventilation🙄) and lack of a toilet brush 🙈. The quality of cleaning in the room is good, but could be better. For example, shampoo/shower gel should be checked and refilled regularly.
Overall the hotel is very good and deserves a solid 4 stars!
