Nice rooms, but bar closes at 23:00 which is far too early. Room service was too busy to order too but reception staff didn't seem to care.

Exceptional service - the reception team were warm and welcoming. They seemed genuinely happy to greet us and to help. Unfortunately, despite checkout being between 6 and 12 a.m., the chambermaid asked us to leave the room twice, knocking loudly at 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The service at the reception was friendly, as was the breakfast service.

Lovely staff and grounds. Shower was the highlight. Came for the air conditioning during the heatwave but the system was not adequate. Fold out couch was incredibly uncomfortable and squeaky, ended up putting the mattress on the floor.

Decent enough room, no qualms with the service. But the area around the train station doesn't feel safe, and you can find homeless camping a few meters away from the hotel which probably means the city doesnt bother to provide them any shelter

Breakfast was very good and staff were friendly. View from the 7th floor was really nice of Lille. The room itself needs a refurb though. There were some really sticky black carpet stains to the left side of the bed which I kept accidentally stepping on which was really unpleasant. Ventilation in the room felt poor and it was stuffy.

Service is very good. Rooms are clean and the size is ok, but the bathroom is tiny. For breakfast there are several options, even boiled eggs (there is no scrambled eggs, nor sausages), the proposed food is fresh and tasty.

Superior room was clean but a little small and despite checking in online the day before our room wasn't ready on arrival and had to wait about while they found an alternative. Location in Lille is perfect, there is a alley with restaurants and bar right behind the hotel, so you have infinite choices of good food and good coffee. Only complaint is that in the duplex room, there is no sink located with the toilet so you need to climb the stairs up to wash your hands

Right next to the city centre (Grand plaza)! Lovely old style decor and furniture, even inside the rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. The roof top bar had a wonderful selection of cocktails and a great view of the Grand Place.

The rooms are spacious and very tastefully put together. When stepping out of the Hotel, you are just where you’d want to be for starting to explore the city. The rooftop bar has nothing to offer besides the view, understaffed and the staff that are there are either full of themselves or untrained. Edit 14. Directly across from the opera house, Hotel Carlton is a gem in the center of Lille. It’s a historical building, having been damaged and rebuilt after both world wars. This place has hosted royalty. We had a shirt stay in this wonderful hotel. Welcome and all other service was excellent and the room was beautifully clean and very grand with a view overlooking a square.

We were assigned an accessible junior suite though we didn't request an accessible room.. The bathroom was half finished and the wiring was not completed with the switches for the separate toilet and bath located in the doorway. Very good hotel and staff. Near everything (metro, train, shooping, city center). Staff very responsive and willing to help you all the time, great amenities in the room. The only con is the acoustic isolation that allow some noises from neighbour rooms and from the hallway.

There was also an air conditioning unit that was made available, but which we did not use. Location is wonderful, beautiful buuilding that was decorated with taste.

The breakfast was rich, the food in the freezer was free (5 bottles of drinks), and a piece of chocolate was given. The toiletries were from L'Occitane, the room was very clean, and the view outside the window was also very good.
