This was one of the most lovely hotels I have stayed in. From the service at the front desk where you were greeted like family, to the lovely gentleman who helped us with our bags. Our room was so lovely. The history inside the hotel is so interesting. I will forever have fond memories of our stay in Lyon.

Stunning recent renovation of apartment block into hotel. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us with information and guidance. A real gem situated in the old town. We will be back!!!

In one word—Exceptional! From the moment we arrived till our departure our experience was exceptional. This includes the restaurants. The staff we so helpful and went above and beyond the call of duty. We would stay here again without hesitation and we so look forward to it.

The location is OK, next to the transportation hub of Perrache. It takes about five minutes from getting off the subway to walking into the hotel. It's not bad if you have big luggage to carry, as you don't have to walk much in the subway station. The hotel itself, as others have said, is nothing. It's very good, but the roof is slanted, so tall people should be careful. The waiter was very nice and the location was good. Booked 1 night so that we can catch the bus early in the morning

The staff are the real stars here. Front desk staff always smiling, professional and welcoming. Staff at breakfast friendly and the maintenance man who seemed to be busy was also happy and smiling. Th rooms are very quiet, beds comfy, close to tram, restaurants and nice little pool that was perfect to cool down in at the end of a long day.

Nice location outside the busy centre. Walking distance to the mall and river. Receptionist were very helpful. And the pool area was clean. Nice hotel woukd stay again.

Made me pay €2 to rent a towel for the pool but didn’t inform me that the pool was closed

Room was a bit shabby but clean, some in-room facilities such as the hair dryer provided are in desperate need of an update

It was good. Did the trick. Room was small and the bathroom could use some refreshing, but nothing bad.

This is a good hotel, but the parking is not free.

It’s a perfect place for visiting Lyon. A little bit old fashioned as it’s the old part of Lyon, very charming. Breakfast is really good and the ladies who serve, do their best to meet all your needs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was great from the rooms, to the staff and the location. We will definitely return in the future

The room was small but worked well for the 2 of us. The receptionist was very helpful. My big issue was the long driveway to the elevator. If i was traveling solo i would feel very unsafe staying here. I would have liked to have to swipe my card to use the elevator or the stairs.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are a bit small though and the lift always stops at reception. However, the staff are very efficient and friendly. Especially the cleaning staff.

The staff at Hotel Alexandra was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a wonderful area on the Rue Victor Hugo pedestrian street, which is within walking distance to most sites of interest. The breakfast by Arus is excellent! Overall, a delightful stay in a lovely city.

Awesome hotel. Air conditioning worked well which was needed with the heat in June. We had a balcony room and it was absolutely stunning. Free snacks and drinks a real bonus. Late check out was great! Bed was super comfortable and the linen was nice. Staff were lovely. Fantastic location. 10/10

An incredible location, right on the Lafayette bridge which connects each of the city's sections, very walkable! It was beyond my expectation. The exterior is simple and the interior is trendy. The snacks in the lobby lounge are available 24 hours a day, which is very considerate. No ac so had to keep windows open but it is a very busy noisy street so difficult to sleep easily if room is on the Main Street. Perhaps a fan ? We loved the Time Machine quality of the room which was unique and fun and yet still fully comfortable and clean. We were a bit skeptical given the nature of the Entrance -but it is lovely once you enter and understand the unesco heritage.

The room is relatively small and decorated in an antique style. You need to climb one floor to get to the lobby, and there is no elevator. Breakfast is 20 euros per person. There is a small refrigerator in the room. The biggest problem is that there is no parking space. Parking in the nearby underground garage costs about 25 yuan a day.

The location is ideal and the welcome is warm. However, the room is cramped and lacks comfort, with a stuffy atmosphere. It would be nice to have a tea and coffee maker available for added convenience.

It's a typical French value-for-money hotel. There aren't any amenities, and you'd be grateful for just a towel... I recommend it only to those who are focused on the price. Don't expect much from the room.

Overall, it is a satisfactory hotel. The room condition is good and comfortable. However, it is not soundproof, so it is recommended for those who are sensitive to noise to avoid it. It was good for a short stay in Lyon and I recommend it.

The location is great, in the heart of downtown Lyon, surrounded by lively places, very close to all attractions, within walking distance. The room facilities are good, the bed is very comfortable. The hygiene is good! The service is warm and meticulous. The hotel's breakfast is great and of high quality, and it is equipped with a freshly squeezed orange juice machine!

Carpet is smelly, the showerhead is too low (around 1m, designed only for children?) and not able to adjust the height. A staff opened my door in the morning without knocking at the door. Dont come.

The location of the hotel is super good, right on the pedestrian street. What's especially considerate is that the two rooms are arranged together with a door in the middle, which is very good! But the price is parking! Let's not talk about parking in big European cities, that's not the hotel's problem.

The French room is as small as usual. There are mosquitoes in the room. Everything else is good. The breakfast is quite rich. The location is good. You can reach any attraction in half an hour on foot.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mercure Lyon, The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room had an amazing views from the balcony. The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of the city.

For the price, this hotel is fantastic. Everyone who works there is really helpful, and everyone speaks English, which is a huge plus for me. My only issue was the air conditioning, or serious lack of it. The week we were in Lyon it was routinely 80-90 degrees F out and the air conditioning in the room didn’t seem to even make a dent in the heat. If there had been AC I would give this place 5 stars...

Just between the 2 rivers, very close to restaurants and shops. The staff were all very helpful, especially Lili. We probably won't be back to Lyon, if we are, this will be our place to stay.

the hotel is impeccable, the location is great and the staff is very attentive and efficient. They offer a great breakfast daily at a reasonable price. Overall the place is quiet and the double windows keep any outside noise out I would recommend this hotel highly.

Hotel room was very small but clean and quiet, the area around had many restaurants to choose from with the transportation just a 2 minute walk. Breakfast is very minimal and the hotel does not have a restaurant, you need to go out to eat. For me I do recommend this place because of the location and price, so yes I would stay here again.

Small space but good location. Simple breakfast and it is not recommended.

The room is very small. The lower bunk is a big bed and the upper bunk is a small bed. There is no hair dryer in the room. I went to the front desk and they said that all the hair dryers were gone. It's a bit outrageous. It is indeed near the train station. You can reach the station right outside. If you stay for one night for the train, it is OK.

The furniture is small, but the room looks big. The washbasin is super small. It is very close to the train station, and the transportation is very convenient. The soundproofing is good, and there are two layers of windows. There is a railway track outside the window, so it doesn't feel like anything. I am quite satisfied with the room. The price I booked that day was relatively low.

Because the train line from Gruyere to Lyon had problems, the train detoured to Chambery and then to Lyon, which delayed the trip. I stayed one night near the Lyon high-speed railway station. This Ibis hotel is very close to the Lyon part dieu high-speed railway station, just a 1-minute walk away. The room is of a suitable size and has good sound insulation. I didn't hear much noise from the train...

Villa Florentine was nice but not as upscale as some of the other Relais & Chateau properties I have stayed at. The room service breakfast was not very good and overpriced. The layout of the suite was difficult with the bed upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly.

Stayed two nights in October. The service was fantastic, they even humored my bad french :) the location can't be beat, right near many of the sights, and easy walk or bike ride everywhere. It was very quiet, even with the windows open and lots of fresh air for us to enjoy. The breakfast was delish. We would definitely stay here again!

Very convenient location with helpful and friendly staffs. The single room however is so cramped you'd think it's a Hobbit hole! The door can't even fully open and one has to turn sideways to get in the shower. The toilet is so small you'd better be less than 70kg in order to fit in the slot! For the price €140 per night, there's many better options in the area.

Hotel is just 5 mins walk from metro station. Location is just behind the shopping street which is convenience. May take free water and coffee from the machine at lobby area. Staffs are helpful and friendly.

Beautiful view of the Saone river. And the staff were uniformly helpful, informative and responsive. BUT no TV, no closet, no clear indication of where the entrance to the hotel is from the closest tram stop. Regulating the water temperature in the shower was a challenge because it kept changing. Finally, the location is not the most convenient.

I had an excellent stay. The room was clean and comfortable. I have two minor complaints: I couldn’t figure out how to turn on one of the lights, and the thermostat was set just a tiny bit too low. I would stay here again.

We loved the front desk guy, Tristen. He was so helpful and personable. We loved the restaurant there. We liked that it was convenient to get to the tram. The AC worked amazing, however, you can never take your key out of the wall/ light socket because it will trip the fuse, and you will have to call down every time to get your AC turned back on.
