ibis Nice Aeroport Promenade des Anglais

I had no great expectations when coming to this hotel after our flight was cancelled. After walking in the pouring rain from the airport, we checked in pretty swiftly but not warmth from the staff behind the desk. When we decided to go to the hotel bar/restaurant we were told that the restaurant opens at 7. When we got back at 7 we were told there were only two dishes to chose from, lasagna or vegetarian lasagna. I pointed out that it would have been useful to know beforehand so we could have looked somewhere else, but on a Sunday in the middle of nowhere we struggled to find anything else. Finally, the staff couldn’t care less, they are checked out from their duties and just do the bare minimum. Save yourself the hassle and go or the Novotel down the road

My experience with this hotel is awful. They first gave me a room on the 5th floor which was super hot and AC was not working properly. I asked them during the night to change my room but they told me that they were fully booked. I had nausea during the night. I have almost thrown because of room that was too much hot. In the morning Viktoria was so kind to change my room (I am giving 3 stars to this hotel because of her because she deserve 10/10). Another awful thing, this hotel took 116 euros more and they haven't refund us yet. When I asked they told me it is a pre-authorisation, which is insane when we did the check-in early (at 3 pm) and they were able to deduct this pre-authorisation from the amount we paid. So now we are still waiting from this 116 euros back (from the 28th of July). This hotel is just a nightmare.
