Where to stay in Nice

I went to La Rotonde to have breakfast at the buffet and came with high expectations. But what was offered left me speechless. All sorts of croissants and other tasty pastries, great coffee and tremendous service, especially by Amira who is not only quick on her feet but also able to propose the best breakfast options tailored to my preferences.

Very centrally situated but quiet. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Our dog was made welcome too. The receptionist in the morning, who also served us breakfast, was charming. And the translation about the mosquitoes was hilarious!

We received a warm welcome on reception, and the hospitality continued. The food: Delicious! Breakfast was fresh and tasty, dinner, the same. The Service: Warm, efficient, and attentive. Great wee stay for a few nights in the city. Cheaper than being in the centre but lovely walk to Old Nice along the beach, or very quick and accessible tram link. Maybe a bit far out if you want true hustle & bustle but we prefer being away from that anyway. Clean, comfortable, well staffed, perfect for what we needed.

Nice hotel, although the room is quite small for 4 people. The convertible sofa and the bed almost touched. Ideal for two people.

The staff is an absolute pleasure! We woke up to our flight because canceled, called down, and within minutes they had another room for us that night. They also watched our bags, stored our bags, and had wonderful breakfasts! I can't thank their staff enough, the hotel is right in between the train station, airport, beach, and public transportation. Book right away!!!

My group absolutely loved staying at this hotel. First of all it is the PERFECT location. An easy walk from the train station and only costs 1.70 euros to go to the airport on the metro. The Hotel Locarno offers an amazing experience during your stay in Nice. The rooms are clean, have air conditioning and are not too small. Room was 'deluxe' but apart from slightly larger was not deluxe in anyway. Adequate bathroom, beds OK but room definitely needs an update and good clean. The experience at this hotel was fairly positive, the rooms were cleans and all included a mini fridge which is nice, furthermore breakfast is included which is really nice at this price point. Price/quality relation very good. Right next to tram and train to go to city center, Monaco, Blue coast. Breakfast is quite good and if the weather is good, having it outside on the terrace is even better. Stayed here a few times and staff has always been pleasant to us.

This hotel is conveniently located, next to the city center and all amenities. The rooms are clean althoug not very big, personally I'm not a fan of the carpeted floor. Very good location, excellent price. The room is clean, spacious and lovely. The only set back is that the toilet doesn’t have a ventilation, so the only way for it to ventilate is through the bedroom out the balcony, which is not quite ideal. But everything else was very good, checkin checkout was smooth!

Such a chique hotel with great style. The rooms are so spacious but the tv is a bit dated. Staff are very friendly, accommodating, and keep everything clean. There is no way this is a 4* Hotel. The hot water pressure is poor. I’ve given up with the wifi and the staff are hardly the friendliest people. And I high price to pay given there are tradesmen walking around scaffolding exposing my bathroom and bedroom. Choose one of the many other options if you want a high end experience.

Fantastic location along the promenade. The hotel is perfectly situated for walking around the city and the waterfront. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and bakeries within walking distance of this hotel. The hotel staff were very attentive and professional and friendly! The staff here were kind enough to upgrade our room upon checking in for no extra charge - as a result we had a top floor sea view room with the most beautiful view. The room is not as big as I expected, but it is comfortable and clean. The staff are very nice and friendly. The restaurant offers good good with reasonable prices, which makes it a convenient choice for dinning without the need to go out and explore. We was a little disappointed over the standard of the room. Pictures on the web shows just newer room in all categories. This room was old with carpet, but clean. Most of the staff had very good service. We were also disappointed when we checked out and they did not ask how our stay was or welcomed us back. We had a lovely 4 night stay here. It is very conveniently located on the tram line at Palais des Expositions. We did feel there wasn't a ton of restaurants or things to do in the area of the hotel but the accessibility of the tram line made traveling to sights very easy.
