Hotel Restaurant Au Boeuf Couronné

Steak is full of tendons, it takes an hour to chew. fish dishes are bland without flavor. It was terrible dinner. So sad

I have booked this hotel twice and they authorize 760 euro from my card
Then they cancel my booking twice!
Now they increased the rate of the room.

Few things are more disappointing than having to be rushed to finish a much-anticipated dinner at the end of a long week; I’m afraid I may have discovered some of those things during a visit a week ago.
We were confirmed a reservation for two for 21h30. We arrived fashionably late but were nevertheless seated and our orders taken around 21h45. Was about to order the very inviting set menu only to be discouraged by the waitress informing us that the kitchen closes at 22h30 – we would have to rush if we take the multi-course option. No choice but the burgers, overcooked as they were when they arrived, they were wonderful.
We were not asked if we would like to have drinks whilst we wait for our food.
The already opened tub of butter that was served with the bread was unapologetically replaced.
The wrong side ordered with a burger was not replaced but however dismissed as the chef’s reflexes to serve burger with fries. Fair enough. Any reasonable person would forgive it if an apology was offered but that wait for the waitress to give it proved to be in vain. There was a waiter who was divinely kind though.
It didn’t help that we were sat near the entrance where we saw disappointed potential clients being turned away or offered only the possibility of just being served dessert due to the kitchen closing.

I am writing this exactly a week after the fact to rid myself of anything unjust that I might say and just offer bare facts. It was the second visit to the restaurant in the span of a week; we were most charmed the first time around. We left shortly before 23h, both certain that eating burning coals would have been a more pleasurable option for spending that Friday night.

Was charmed by the photos of the hotel's interior and distance to the subway. I was given a room at the 3rd Storey unit nearer to the lift. Stayed there for 2 nights. To my horror on the last day when i was packing my luggage found *BED BUGS* crawling inside my luggage and bags. I went to check the bed, and found many bedbugs. Had a train to catch to my next destination hence did not press it to hotel admins. Had to waste a lot of my time deep cleaning my luggage and bag. After a few days, the nightmare did not end, red itchy spot started to appear everywhere on my hands, legs. Please be warned of this hotel and also do check your room(beds, mat etc) for bedbug before pushing your luggage in.
