It is in this house arrived in 1886 Vincent van Gogh to his brother Theo. Cosy rooms are decorated in a provençal style and decorated with reproductions of paintings by van Gogh. Very friendly staff.
Location: in one of the most vibrant quarters of Paris, just a short walk/ from Montmartre and the famous Moulin Rouge. Nearest metro stations: Blanche (line 2), Pigalle (lines 2 and 12), Saint Georges (line 12). This hotel is housed in a Parisian town house, just 500 metres from Boulevard de Clichy and the Moulin Rouge and a 10-minute walk from Montmartre. The distance to the airport is approximately 30 km away.

The room was a bit small but very clean and had all of the amenities needed.
When booking, the price was higher than expected but this was due to the Olympics happening in Paris at the time rather than the fault of the hotel.
There are gates before you access the hotel which made us feel very safe
Hotel staff were lovely and friendly. They were very helpful whenever we needed assistance. We had a health related emergency at one point during our time at the hotel during the night and the staff were so helpful which we are very grateful for.
Overall would recommend this hotel to others.
The room is unusually warm without a way of properly adjusting the heat which can become uncomfortable whilst sleeping.
Our room also had absolutely no view and instead was a few metres away from an apartment block which is all you can see from the window, so no light enters the room. This does not seem to be a good enough standard for the price paid. It does not seem good enough for the price that there is paint peeling off and falling into m to clothes.
The elevator is unreliable on some occasions, forcing us to walk up 4 flights of stairs in a small spiral staircase without lighting.
The concierge staff are friendly but do not try to talk or greet you half of the time. This did not bother me but bear it in mind that the service is very basic.
The location is good and close to Pigalle and other metro stations. I would maybe beware at night time as there are a lot of disorderly people around this area, although I never had a problem myself.
All in all the hotel is fine if you do not expect much and just want a place to sleep if you are particularly keen on this location. Although, I will suggest that you can probably find a better hotel for this amount of money or even less money. The hotel is the only downside to an otherwise beautiful trip to Paris and I would not recommend and am confused how this hotel can be rated so highly.
