Holiday Inn Express Paris-Canal De La Villette, an IHG Hotel

Good service attitude, simple breakfast, 5 minutes walk to the subway station to the city center, very convenient

Great location and good service.

The room was very good, the breakfast was OK, although it was said to be a messy area online, it was actually OK. It was also close to the subway station, so it was convenient to travel.

We've stayed in this hotel many times over the last 10 years or so, and it has become our favorite Parisian home away from home. My mother is there for extended stays a couple of times a year and I usually join her for two or three weeks at a time. The hotel is beautifully situated on a canal in the northeastern part of Paris, which gives it an unexpected waterfront atmosphere, and there are many good cafes and dining options nearby. It's a lively neighborhood but not as hectic as other, more touristy parts of Paris, and it is also very convenient to two metro lines within easy walking distance. The rooms are comfortable, well-appointed, and surprisingly large for a Paris hotel. But what makes this a really special place are the people who work there, from the unfailingly helpful, efficient, and courteous front desk staff, to the people working in the bar and the breakfast room, to those who clean the rooms every day. The front desk and most other staff speak very good English, and do their very best to make guests feel welcome and comfortable, wherever they might be from or whatever language they might speak. A good sign of a well-managed hotel is the longevity of the staff, and we're always pleased to see familiar faces when we return year after year. We count many of them among our friends now, and appreciate their warm welcome whenever we come in the door. If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay in a pleasant neighborhood in Paris, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express La Villette!

Very nice holiday and great service.

Excellent friendly bar staff who gave me plenty of tips over the 5 days I was staying, excellent staff. On our last evening they put on a Halloween show for the children with a 6ft screen, treats and sweets on every table, cushions on the floor for the younger children and a Halloween punch for the kids and the staff all dressed up, fantastic gesture from the staff

Good to stay

Modern, well taken care of hotel with beautiful views of the canal. Nice continental breakfast with many cold and some hot foods included. Close to the metro/subway and yet many restaurants within a few minutes walk. A good neighborhood to walk, or just stroll along the canal! The room was nice, modern, and clean. The staff was superb and always helpful! One of the guys at the desk spoke 5 languages. This site is tourist friendly! I wouldn't hesitate to stay again my next trip to Paris!
